FinduilasV: The house we are living in has been up for sale since a few
months and it seems the sale is near, but the seller is not certain he
will accept
FinduilasV: Bruce wants to move however, so looks like we move back to
Portree beginning of next month
Eonwe Valar: Is that far from where you're living now?
FinduilasV: no not really, just six miles, but its a lot of stuff
FinduilasV: and we moved only a few months ago
Eonwe Valar: Ah, well I hope you have a safe and speedy move, and a
quick getting everything back into a semblance of order.
FinduilasV: Thanks, i m not sure whats gonna happen but that was the
latest developments however ;-) I am sure it will work out somehow

Srekal86: any progress on getting the encyclopedia converted to a dynamic engine?
Eonwe Valar: As far as I know Varda's still ordering the Encyclopedia
in a more convenient fashion.
Srekal86: well, convenient still isn't dynamic ;-)

Eonwe Valar: Games
Page:In case you haven't seen them, the Sortable tables for WoW
Lothar and now Uldaman are still on the Games Page in the main
navigation frame (left frame).
Eonwe Valar: You can sort them by any column, and they should all work
perfectly now. And since I've said "perfectly," there's bound to be a
bug that crops up :}
Menelvagor Valar: well, the main page says it's always under
construction, so that should eliminate all bug complaints.
Eonwe Valar: I've also set the Games Page so you can toggle between the
plain version and the backgrounded 1280x1024 version by clicking on the
page title.
Eonwe Valar: Those who read that notice at the top of the main index
would note that :}
Eonwe Valar: In the chance you do find something that doesn't quite
look right in those tables, let me know.

in WoW thanks to his brand new computer :}
Eonwe Valar: Both on Lothar and Uldaman. Already got 3 chars in each
place :}
Eonwe Valar: Guild Questing:
Eonwe Valar: This week, Varda, Eonw�, Fangorn, and Merry went to hunt
down the materials for the Love Potion quest in BRD.
Eonwe Valar: Varda, Merry, and Eonw� took a trip into Azshara for the
mountain giant veins.
Eonwe Valar: Accomplishing that, Eonw� switched to his priest Kalasul
to gather the Gromsblood in Desolace.
Eonwe Valar: Fangorn joined us at this point. Once done there, we went
to Un'goro to fill the vial, grabbing the Tanaris, Un'Goro, and
Silithus flight paths for Kalasul in the process.
Eonwe Valar: Then Varda, Fangorn, and Eonw� took a quick trip to
Uldaman so Varda could learn more enchanting stuff from the Enchanter
there.
Eonwe Valar: Other WoW news:
Eonwe Valar: Lots of write-ups on the WoW
expansion linked from the WoW community site.
Eonwe Valar: Interesting stuff in there, including raids being limited to 25 people.
Menelvagor Valar: what? :(
Eonwe Valar: Very interesting that, considering LotRO had announced
their caps at 24 not long ago.
Eonwe Valar: Blizzard realized with 40 men some players became cogs in
the machine :} That's a paraphrase of one of the CMs btw :}
Menelvagor Valar: in raids all players are cogs :(
Eonwe Valar: Also something about a Paladin
taunt, but we'll see :}
Menelvagor Valar: without one, the machine might fail.
Eonwe Valar: Ok, I'll rephrase it this way:
Eonwe Valar: Blizzard didn't want 26th-40th wheels :}
Menelvagor Valar: hehe :)
Menelvagor Valar: well, they had better downgrade the difficulty level
of places like MC then.
Eonwe Valar: WIth fewer people, supposedly hybrids will get to really
show their stuff.
Eonwe Valar: No, the current 40-mans
will stay.
Eonwe Valar: but no new ones in the visible horizon.
Menelvagor Valar: okay.
Menelvagor Valar: just too bad the new ones will accomplish exactly the
opposite.
Menelvagor Valar: with 25 people, a druid needs to heal.
Menelvagor Valar: small room for a feral druid to go Cat for damage, or
even tank.
Eonwe Valar: With 40, they still make him heal.
Menelvagor Valar: on the tougher bosses, yes.
Eonwe Valar: With 40, they make Paladins heal, and they don't have to
change shapes to do all they do.
Menelvagor Valar: with 20, Paladins are on full-time healing duty.
Eonwe Valar: We'll see how it works out.
Menelvagor Valar: a retribution Paladin even heals in a 5-man dungeon.
Eonwe Valar: I've done that, and I've tanked in a 5-man dungeon, as a
Retribution Paladin.
Menelvagor Valar: either is possible, yes.
Eonwe Valar: And with another Paladin, we traded healing back and forth.
Menelvagor Valar: but places like Zul'Gurub will need a Paladin on
healing.
Menelvagor Valar: no room for a Paladin tanking there, except in
emergencies.
Menelvagor Valar: and even then, a damage specced warrior takes
priority.
Eonwe Valar: We'll see what becomes of this.
Menelvagor Valar: better aggro control.
Menelvagor Valar: the taunt on paladins might help though.
Eonwe Valar: Supposedly with Shamans on the Alliance and Paladins on
the Horde, they can tune them more to what they were meant to be in the
Expansion.
Menelvagor Valar: but as far as I can see, it will change little.
Menelvagor Valar: even with shammies
Eonwe Valar: And here I thought this was going to be a quick meeting :}

Eonwe Valar: I am too. 25 people is easier to deal with than 40 people,
and it gives a chance for smaller groups to get in on raiding as well.
Menelvagor Valar: but still, I agree with you that it should be as you
say.
Eonwe Valar: Without selling their souls.
Menelvagor Valar: I managed 30 fine enough in MC.
Menelvagor Valar: I was spamming the Raid Warning though :P

trying to revive the Elvondel world he was creating for Well of Souls.

Eonwe Valar: A branch of the Valar Guild needs at least a Maia as
Guildmaster since we require a test over LotR to be a member of the
Valar Guild.
Eonwe Valar: I believe last week we had the count at around 7 full
members in the European servers, not all of whom have been seen by our
other guys there recently.
FinduilasV: we will see who we can catch, they might not necessarily
use tolkien related names
Eonwe Valar: Guage the interest first. Let's see which of our members
over there would be up for a guild branch there.
Eonwe Valar: Gauge even.
