Hail to the prestigious and honorable members of the Valar Guild!
I hope this e-mail finds you all well.
It is I, Eonwë, and the time has come once again to wipe the Games Site clean and make sure the membership's most recent gaming info replaces the old. Why? So you can find other Valar Guild members in the games you play :}
Even if you don't currently have time for games, responding to tell us lets us know you're still interested in being a member :}
What am I looking for? The usual:
Blizzcon just announced a bunch of stuff for World of Warcaft as well as the next Diablo, a new game in the Starcraft universe, a new hero for Heroes of the Storm, a new campaign for Warcraft 3: Reforged, a new hero for Overwatch, and a new class for Hearthstone.
Housing came with the Midnight Expansion, and we have our own guild neighborhood for anyone who wishes to throw a character in the guild and plant either their Alliance or Horde house there. That's right, guilds can be cross-faction now. You don't even have to be on the same server, as long as you're in the same region (US, Europe, etc.). Some cross-faction limitations still apply for interacting and grouping, though.
Our main server in Lord of the Rings Online is "Peregrin", after the upgrade to 64-bit servers and shutdown of the old 32-bit ones.
If you're interested in joining our guild branches in either place, you can catch me (for WoW) or Varda (for LotRO) on Discord.
The best time would be at the weekly Guild meeting (Sundays 5pm US East Coast time), where we discuss guild business, gaming, and Tolkien. Contact Varda to join our channel there.
The 29th Anniversary of the Valar Guild will be October 4th. This year's theme is "Adventures".
