Ar-Pharazon-V (ArPharazonV) has entered the room.
Arien V (AriehnV) has entered the room.
Arien V: Aiya Phari :)#
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!
Arien V: say do you know when the last two parts of the nighthold become available for lfr?
Eru (eru68) has entered the room.
Arien V: Aiya Eru :-)
Eru: Aiya!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!
Ar-Pharazon-V: And I don't know, Arien, though I could probably look it up. I'm in a raidgroup so I haven't actually bothered doing it in LFR.
Ar-Pharazon-V: But usually they're released in intervals of 1 or 2 weeks.
Arien V: i ll look it up .. hold on
Arien V: hmm maybe towards the end of the month .. i wont get a chance to do it before that ^^
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah.
Eru (eru68) has left the room.
Arien V: Right .. itts ten past ten i think we should begin even if Eru has left us
Arien V: lets make this quick and painless
Ar-Pharazon-V: Did you invite any more people?
Arien V: invites sent to Gilraen and Gwaihir .. tried to send to Elladan but it gives me "session already exists with this buddy*
Ar-Pharazon-V: I tried to invite Elladan but apparently his version doesn't support it?
Arien V: Elladan is coming in a minute
Ar-Pharazon-V: ah
Arien V: or in five i sent him an im
Arien V: he is trying to enter now
Elladan (Scott92027) has entered the room.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Apparently you can drag people from your buddylist into the chatwindow. I wonder if that works...
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiya!
Elladan : hi
Arien V: Aiya Elladan :-)
Elladan : NOT in a good mood
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aw
Elladan : every time I walk my dog, there is at least ONE little foo foo dog that people let roam the streets
Arien V: you can listen then if you want and stay in the background :-)
Elladan : I'm in a wheelchair and have a 70 lb pitbull.
Elladan : he is NOT dog-friendly when we're walking
Arien V: :-\
Elladan : I guess I could let him go, eliminating the problem one by one lol
Ar-Pharazon-V: I can't imagine that would be appreciated.
Elladan : neither is letting the dogs go unleashed. I wouldn't do that anyway
Elladan : but they run up to my dog, and my dog is restrained, but I can only do so much
Arien V: what happened?
Elladan : I had to lift his front end off the ground so he doesn't attack them.
Elladan : the little dogs keep taunting him
Elladan : enough of that. Go about with the meeting. I'm going to keep writing code
Arien V: all right :-)

Ar-Pharazon-V: I'm not very good with sci-fi :-)
Arien V: i have seen Helm a few times online on Bnet and chatted a bit but not done anything with him as such apart from we killed the same mob by chance in a wold quest and didnt notice each other until back at the fp :)#
Arien V: any other membership news ? anything new from Fladrif Phari?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep, he's still around, in Hearthstone at least :-)
Arien V: cool :-)
Arien V: I cannot give you any web news i fear , since Varda didnt post any online
Arien V: and didn't send any info

Arien V: Gamning news :
Arien V: I played mostly Rift this week as non guild game and got into the sixties level wise, which was the last expansion and there was a new one out four months ago, Starfall Prophecy which I have to explore yet :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah, grats :-)
Arien V: Any other non LotR or no Blizzard game which can be shortly mentioned?
Arien V: i know Phari has some but we ll leave that for his personal gaming report.
Arien V: Eonwe has put on gaming news for us , bless him :-)

Arien V: World of Warcraft:
A new blog about the upcoming Pet Battle Dungeon is out: A Call From the Caverns: Pet Battle Dungeon Preview.
Love is in the Air is going.
Check out the latest hotfixes.

Arien V: Diablo 3:
Patch 2.5.0 is now up on the PTR. New features are coming: an armory and crafting material storage. (Sadly, no Necromancer yet.)
Arien V: Starcraft 2:
Patch 3.10.1 is out.
Arien V: Heroes of the Storm:
Just as a friendly reminder, the Lunar Festival runs until February 14th, so if you're going for the rooster mount, get those 25 races in by then
Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep, only a few days left. Tuesday I think?
Arien V: yep Tuesday is the 14th
Arien V: Personally i got quite far with the Leion Pathfinder in World of Warcraft .. which is required to unlock flying in the Broken Isles
Ar-Pharazon-V: I still need a bunch of Suramar quests to finish that.
Arien V: I am just missing the Legion Loremaster .. the good Suramaritioan achievement there .. and for that i need to defeat Guldan in the Nighthold ^
Ar-Pharazon-V: ah, hence the Nighthold LFR :-P
Arien V: yup indeed
Arien V (AriehnV) has left the room.
Arien V (AriehnV) has entered the room.
Arien V: my apologies .. windows
Arien V: closed the wrong one
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aiyata
Arien V: Lotr gaming news:
Arien V: ooops just noticed put somet of last weeks gaming news there

Arien V: so now for this week :-)

Arien V: Heroes of the Storm:
A hotfix came out this week.
The PTR patch notes have also been updated.
Coming February 14th through March 14th, a new event is coming with rewards for both World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm. Get the details from the official announcement.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Still current!

Arien V: Diablo 3:
A new Developer Chronicle is out: Developer Chronicles - Rift Fishing.
The Patch 2.5.0 notes have been updated.

Arien V: Overwatch:
The PTR is now available.

Arien V: There are no LotR gaming news since we miss any of the regular LotR players .. . I was actually online last week a couple of times but i am stuck with a quest on my guardian .so it is a bit frustrating to go there at the moment.
Ar-Pharazon-V: aw
Arien V: I cant find a certain place and without that i don't unlock the following quests .. so requesting kindly remote help maybe from any of the script readers shoujld we meet there :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: ARe there online guides like for WoW?
Elladan : There are guides for quests in Lotro
Elladan : just gotta google for them
Elladan : and WoW has TONS of quest guides
Arien V: yes and i found a video guide as well but i can't make sense of that either .. it shows me on the map the quest location and i should be there but nothing happens .. I should be able o spot something from a hill and normally the game tells me where to look .. but it doesn't happen
Arien V: But never mind , I am sure someone will be so kind or i ll find the place at some point :-)
Elladan : what quest and what level
Elladan : I've probably done it lol
Arien V: The quest is called "old Roots* .. level i 83 or so something like that
Arien V: helping an Ent to find out something about murdered trees near a frozen waterfall
Elladan : hmm
Arien V: Anyway we are approaching the end of the Gaming news. Has anyone a wish or suggestion for a Tolkien topic?
Ar-Pharazon-V: I vaguely recall varda having a topic we were saving for the next meeting, but probably best if she's here for that.
Elladan : here is a link to the vid for Old Roots. You may have seen it already
Elladan : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0LdSEQHgUE
Elladan : also this
Elladan : Looking up to the waterfall, turn left,
walk a couple of meters, the up that slope towards
the waterfall again, get the quest to advance a notch.
(think you need to select the log on the other side an
then hit the emote button)( IIRC!?!?!?)
Drop back down and this time go the other way until
you find a spot where you can start clibing that mountain.
THEN follow the questtracker in your radar...
Ar-Pharazon-V: Videos are nice, give you a more visual idea where to look rather than just text.
Elladan : In fact you must click on branches and use the emote, and it will update the ring
Elladan (Scott92027) has left the room.
Elladan (Scott92027) has entered the room.
Elladan : dunno what happened there
Arien V: ah right i shall try that ^^ welcoime back :-)
Elladan : anyway, time to get a little game time in before TWD wooot
Elladan : back on tonight
Arien V: probably closed the window by accident i do that all the time
Arien V: all right :-) i hope you can relax a bit :-)
Elladan : I'm okay now
Elladan : thanks
Arien V: have fun and Namarie and thank you :-)

Tolkien:
Arien V: Any ideas or want a short Name game for a changve?
Arien V: we havent had that for a while
Ar-Pharazon-V: Sure!
Arien V: okay i ll start
Ar-Pharazon-V: character names only?
Arien V: character and place names
Arien V: makes it a bit easier
Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright.
Arien V: since we are only two
Arien V: Aragorn
Ar-Pharazon-V: Nori
Arien V: Imrahil
Ar-Pharazon-V: Lorien
Arien V: Nargothrond
Ar-Pharazon-V: Doriath
Arien V: Helm
Ar-Pharazon-V: Merry
Arien V: Yavanna
Ar-Pharazon-V: Arien!
Arien V: who is that :D?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Some weird solar maia.
Arien V: .. oh yeah the one chasing the moon .. i remember *nod*]
Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep, constantly tries to burn it.
Arien V: Numenor
Ar-Pharazon-V: What's that?
Arien V: some piece of clay mixed with stone on the bottom of the sea
Ar-Pharazon-V: Let's not go there, it sounds like a silly place.
Arien V: yeah lets try and go to valinor instead eh?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Sounds good, building a fleet!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Rohan
Arien V: and take the land for ourselves!
Arien V: Nienna#
Ar-Pharazon-V: Do objects count? If so, Anduril :-)
Arien V: we said characters and places ^^
Arien V: so i fear i have to reject Anduril as contribution
Ar-Pharazon-V: Slight change then
Ar-Pharazon-V: Aredhel :-)
Arien V: very well :-)
Arien V: Lenwe
Ar-Pharazon-V: Elrond
Arien V: Denethor
Ar-Pharazon-V: Romenna
Arien V: this shall be our last one .. Romenna being a region in Numenor if i remember right .. the area where the families loyal to the Valar lived , that is Elendil and his family , correct?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Hmm, I think that's Andunia, isn't Romenna the eastern harbor?
Arien V: i ll have a look
Arien V: we were both right l^^#
Ar-Pharazon-V: Ah yes, they were moved by order of the king?
Arien V: Romenna was the main port on the East Coast of Numenor yes
Arien V: during the Reign of Ar- Gimilzor
Arien V: more were drawn there during the reign of a certain Ar-Pharazon and escaped to Middlearth from there
Ar-Pharazon-V: So that's where they all went.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Place felt deserted, I thought that was just Sauron's sacrifices...
Arien V: tough luck old boy *pats back*
Arien V: but there were already shipyards and wharfes there so was quite handy i guess
Arien V: maybe had nice shipbells too? i wonder whether there were smithies to make shipbells ...
Ar-Pharazon-V: Shipbells?
Arien V: well if you build ships you need bells that can sound the alarm or mealtime aye
Ar-Pharazon-V: Seems oddly specific :-)
Arien V: *looks around and sees one ... grabs a gavel shaped like an oar and bangs against* .. *doooong*

Aftermeeting!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Trying to find a third flashgame for my gaming report, and might have to give one from the past (though I don't know if I've mentioned it here).
Ar-Pharazon-V: But I suppose there's nothing wrong with putting a particularly fun game back in the spotlight :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright, personal gaming!
Arien V: :-)
Arien V: go ahead

Ar-Pharazon-V: For flashgaming, http://www.kongregate.com/games/Rob_Almighty/the-adventures-of-red is the one I probably linked before and which popped up again this week.
Ar-Pharazon-V: A castle filled with rooms with puzzles, and different-colored keys as rewards that open up locks to various other rooms, until you get to the end. Try to get all the gems, different hats, and all the different puzzles!
Ar-Pharazon-V: http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/leap_jet_bear is the second game! You play a bear with jetpack arms and have to navigate your way through platform levels to collect your cubs.
Ar-Pharazon-V: There also achievements and gems to get, though I'm having trouble actually seeing where they could be ;-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: http://www.onemorelevel.com/game/midnight_hunter is an action and upgrade game where you run distances and shoot enemies. Complete quests, save kids, collect bonuses.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Bit of a Van Helsing vibe to it, with mass-shooting crossbows and monsters to fight.
Arien V: hihi and addictive that
Ar-Pharazon-V: Indeed it is!
Arien V: not so easy but fun
Ar-Pharazon-V: The shop items help, when you're able to get them. They're permanent upgrades as well.
Arien V: nice one
Arien V: right .. i have to strike colors i fear :-\
Arien V: quite tired
Arien V: was up early this morning
Ar-Pharazon-V: Alright. I'll put in the rest of my report anyway, for the transcript?
Ar-Pharazon-V: Sorry, got a bit caught up in the game as well ;-)
Arien V: yes of course if you dont mind too much monolguing :-\
Arien V: hehe#

Ar-Pharazon-V: Blizzard gaming!
Ar-Pharazon-V: Hearthstone: Plenty of classes near the next level now, a few still somewhat behind. But getting there also. This week's brawl is an old one: pick a class, make a deck, every minion you play gives you a spell costing the same mana as the minion, but can be played for free.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Interesting combinations to be made with it.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Heroes of the Storm: Got my rooster for 25 races, yay! No new levels there for my heroes, but plenty of xp going around :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Next event requires Warcraft heroes, that'll be interesting.
Ar-Pharazon-V: WoW:
Ar-Pharazon-V: For raiding, we got Aluriel on heroic, yay! Tough boss, but once you've got a grip on every phase it's just a matter of keeping enough of the dps alive. Tight enrage, too.
Ar-Pharazon-V: On normal, I managed to be there for an Elisande kill, and had my first attempt at Gul'dan.
Arien V: =-O
Arien V: grats :-D
Arien V: nice one
Ar-Pharazon-V: Thanks :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: We also poked Trial of Valor a bit today on heroic to work on some quests for people, and noticed immediately that it had become rather easier with Nighthold-gear.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Though I did get a new necklace and relic out of it.
Arien V: :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, previous mention for Heroes of the Storm: This week's brawl was the map with 3 temples again. I'd already done it before, and didn't like it much, so decided to skip the 1k gold ;-)
Arien V: i have to try and get some of the lfr stuff from there .. probably just have to q not as frost ^^ but i love frost for soloing ^^
Ar-Pharazon-V: Back to WoW:
Ar-Pharazon-V: Why not queue as frost? Dps might take a bit longer to get in, but should always work eventually :-)
Arien V: some people kick frosties because its  "not a pve spec"
Ar-Pharazon-V: This week's weekly quest is pet battles! Win 5 pvp pet battles to get an epic training stone to get a pet all the way from 1 to 25.
Ar-Pharazon-V: In LFR? That's pretty bad.
Ar-Pharazon-V: Anyway, with the double pet battle xp and that stone, my pet-leveling for Family Familiar has been going nicely. Almost all of them are level 9 or higher now, and I have 25 to completely max out still.
Arien V: yup thats lfr for you .. thats why i hate it .. but unfortunattely blizz leaves no other choice when you dont have a raiding group
Ar-Pharazon-V: Myes. I never noticed people getting kicked out for spec.
Ar-Pharazon-V: But haven't LFR'd too much lately.
Ar-Pharazon-V: World quests: Finished the last pvp arena quest, and got a new mount for it! So I don't need to bother with those anymore.
Arien V: :-D , grats
Ar-Pharazon-V: Swiftly running out of new ones to do, and I only do duplicates when they're useful and non-generic, like for professions or pet charms (or Family Familiar), so I'm getting a bit more free time there again.
Ar-Pharazon-V: This gave me time to poke Suramar yesterday, finishing the first major storyline achievement, and unlocking the Withered training scenario. It's fun, and I'm going to enjoy progressing through it every 3 days, with some luck ;-)
Arien V: :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Getting some AP from the place as well, and my feral and guardian artifacts are almost at level 34 now, the soft cap, so to speak.
Ar-Pharazon-V: It also helps that I'm at Artifact Knowledge level 24 now, with only 2 days to go until I max it out.
Arien V: nice one
Ar-Pharazon-V: Yep! And I'm hoping to poke Suramar some more next week, working on Good Suramaritan, which would complete Pathfinder. Though from what I hear, it's quite a long stretch :-)
Arien V: it is a long way to go ^^ but its worthwhile doing ^^ i am glad that we have to do it only once :)]
Ar-Pharazon-V: Also been working on farming tokens for the Love is in the Air event. The two alts I'm using to fight the Apothecaries with are going well, I really hope at least one of them ends up with 100 tokens total for one of the toys, while my main goes for the other one through dailies.
Arien V: loved the storyline
Ar-Pharazon-V: Hah, yes :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Oh, also for world quests, I finished the Unleashed Monstrosities achievement by getting 8 different worldbosses! That gave me a new appearance, but can't use it yet without getting the one from Balance of Power first. Still, that's another unlocked :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Finally, for wardrobe appearances, more progress! Finished heroic slave pens, and started normal Underbog in its place. Only need one more item from there now.
Ar-Pharazon-V: And also making a bit more progress in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, but that's still some way to go I'm afraid.
Arien V: good luck wirth it! and you ll get it eventually i am sure :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: Almost forgot, having mentioned Family Familiar earlier...
Ar-Pharazon-V: finished the Flying part, so that's 3 out of 7 pet families done :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: And I think that's it for my report!
Arien V: Thanks a lot Phari :-)
Ar-Pharazon-V: No problem ;-)
Arien V: Namarie !
Ar-Pharazon-V: Namarie!
Arien V (AriehnV) has left the room.
Ar-Pharazon-V: saving and sending transcript

How did they show appreciation in Middle-earth and beyond?
