Question: Which Vala or Valie was the lead in the Second Theme that arose against Melkor's after the First was drowned out?
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Phar :-)
VardaValar1: Looks like I may not be able to stay but a few minutes,
have to buy parts for both home and work shortly, time crunch for work.
ArPharazonV: Will you return?
VardaValar1: Not up to me. Hoping to.
fladrifv has entered the room.
Glorfindel VG has entered the room.
Glorfindel VG: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya Fladrif and Glorfindel : )
VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: I may have to leave abruptly to collect repair items for a
sink here at home, and to collect supplies for a drilling rig before it
gets too late at night.
VardaValar1: Thank you both for coming. It's tough on both real life
and gaming life to come here for the meetings, and is much appreciated.
VardaValar1: Any Membership news from either of you?
ArPharazonV: There's 3 of us!
ArPharazonV: I was... correcting you. Why is that a huzzah?
VardaValar1: Huzzah that we have three. : )
VardaValar1: Aiya Fladrif!
VardaValar1: Now we are four!
ArPharazonV: We have 4 in the room. I meant that...
fladrifv: 4rish we are
VardaValar1: Say it again. Maybe another will pop in!
VardaValar1: Any membership news from anyone?
ArPharazonV: We were with 4 when you thought there were 3 of us and
talked as if there were only 2 others but you. *tries to clear up the
VardaValar1: Only saw three on my screen at the time. A bit of lag
maybe. Four is good. : ) Only require two for a chat, so we're good.
VardaValar1: or... *talks to self*.
VardaValar1: Might have a piece of artwork to put up, but these
medieval art things tend to look a bit non-Tolkien in some ways and I
dislike photo-shopping them into something they aren't. That sort of
thing would be up to the artist.
VardaValar1: We hope to have a WoW
run tonight. I may not be able to be present for the first part, may
have to leave suddenly. Although right now the sink is turning into an
even bigger mass of parts on the floor...
VardaValar1: Monday we had a nice cooperative run between the Palantiri
kin and Valar Guild, giving us a 12 man skirmish raid. We successfully
completed level 85 Ford of Bruinen.
VardaValar1: Thanks to Pippin-(V) for saying he was "Bored now" in the
friend channel. That started us into the run impromptu. : )
VardaValar1: On the 14th, LotRO had a small patch. Patch notes available at
VardaValar1: We are getting more members to top level and others coming
up fast, so we may be able to do more raids for the high level goodies.
VardaValar1: Any other gaming news?
VardaValar1: Chess? MLPO? D3? Other?
ArPharazonV: Eh, some flashgames, nothing much outside WoW done for me.. but as for the MLP Online game I mentioned before
VardaValar1: Fangorn and I have done some BroodWar. Sad it's no longer supported.
VardaValar1: Go ahead, Phar.
ArPharazonV: they removed the download from the website and all support
for it on the forum, saying they're going through "redevelopment" right
now, whatever that means; not much further information is given, but it
could probably be a while before I can report anything about it again.
ArPharazonV: Has plenty of people worried, I can tell you.
VardaValar1: Yikes! Sounds like you were in a beta rather than a finished game.
VardaValar1: I'm almost out of time so...
ArPharazonV: The beta was supposed to be over. The first episode was just released for real.
VardaValar1: They thought it was over, heh.
ArPharazonV: allright, continue
VardaValar1: Phar has an amusing video for our Tolkien section. Go ahead.
VardaValar1: I think he's looking it up.
ArPharazonV: I found a video on youtube
where the characters from MLP reenact major scenes from the Lord of the
Rings movie, should be quite recognizable.
ArPharazonV: It's in their own style, though, so to speak; it's full of
references to the show and fandom that probably nobody here gets but
me. But here it is anyway.
VardaValar1: We have other bronies in the guild. : )]
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: Possibly, though I've not yet heard them in the meeting, so that's what "here" means for now!
ArPharazonV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4hD31VTdsw here you go!
Eonwe Valar: Heya all. Sorry I'm late.
VardaValar1: Aiya Eonwe : )
ArPharazonV: So for all transcriptreaders and other interested ones, there's the link!
VardaValar1: One other quick item under Tolkien from me.
VardaValar1: Eowyn and her husband mailed a humongous Legos LotR set
and one with Gandalf on his cart for my birthday that I've been putting
together. Suppose pics should be made?
ArPharazonV: Of course! And put them on the website.
VardaValar1: ok : )
VardaValar1: Still working. It's huge.
VardaValar1: Eonwe, I have to leave for now, hoping to be back for WoW. *passes the gavel*
Eonwe Valar: Have fun :}
VardaValar1: Thanks. : )
VardaValar1 has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: DO we have a Tolkien topic?
ArPharazonV: Nay, not that was mentioned before you entered.
Eonwe Valar: Is there one anyone would like to discuss?
ArPharazonV: Oh. Another small mention.
ArPharazonV: Peter Jackson put a bunch more pictures up on ye book of face.
ArPharazonV: Character posters.
ArPharazonV: Check that, see if it works, otherwise I'll try to find another link.
Eonwe Valar: Doesn't work for me.
ArPharazonV: What happens when you click it?
Eonwe Valar: Takes me to Facebook ,but I don't see any picutres.
ArPharazonV: Weird. It's a public album and I'm not logged in either.
ArPharazonV: http://www.facebook.com/PeterJacksonNZ?sk=wall this one? and just clicking the link for the november 13 pictures?
Eonwe Valar: That one works.
Eonwe Valar: I guess Phar and I are the only one here :}
Eonwe Valar: *ones
ArPharazonV: The others are usually quiet, are they not?
Eonwe Valar: Aye, but they're still welcome to bring up a topic for Tolkien chat :}
Eonwe Valar: Did Varda mention any changes for the Forum coming in the next version?
ArPharazonV: Hmm. No.
ArPharazonV: Only web-thing she mentioned was a picture that or might not be tolkien-related enough.
Eonwe Valar: Well, as a heads-up,.. http://support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=openbetadiscussion&action=display&thread=430242
Eonwe Valar: Short version: There'll be new global accounts, and you'll be using your e-mail to log in.
ArPharazonV: what happens to current accounts?
Eonwe Valar: They should still exist at the forum level.
Eonwe Valar: You'll just end up likning it to a "gobal" account.
Eonwe Valar: *linking
Eonwe Valar: OK, random trivia question, then we'll bang the gavel.
Eonwe Valar: Which Vala or Valie was the lead in the Second Theme that arose against Melkor's after the First was drowned out?
ArPharazonV: Well, let's see. There's not that many to choose from. So
who would stand up to Melkor's theme from the start and therefore be a
chief player when it played out in Arda?
ArPharazonV: Manwe, Varda and Tulkas come to mind.
Eonwe Valar: One specifically was named :}
ArPharazonV: Yes, but unless I look it up, I'll not be able say which one :-) So I'll start with Manwe.
Eonwe Valar: And that would be correct :}
Eonwe Valar: *Bangs Gavel*
Eonwe Valar: Aftermeeting :}
fladrifv has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Saving and sending transcript.
