"Scouting Ahead" forum story role-play discussion and posting.
Galdor's topic: Did all the elves who survived Ost-In-Edhil go to Imladris? or did they set up other small outposts? An age earlier, when Turin was raised in an elf refuge, it would seem plausable that other elf small outposts might have sprung up similarly at the time Elrond led the survivors to Imladris.

Eonwe Valar: Heya.
Iryenth has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya Ar-Pharazon, Eonwe, and Gilraen. :-)
Iryenth: aiya all
Eonwe Valar: Beat Varda to the room by a about 2 seconds :}
VardaValar1: Yay! Works in sports too.
Eonwe Valar: Heya to Gilraen and Gwaihir if he's about as well :}
ArPharazonV: 2 seconds? that's rather a lot in most sports :P
VardaValar1: Aye, it is. :-)
VardaValar1: Elwing says hi from WoW.
karakedi25 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Indis
karakedi25: Aiya

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: Membership:
VardaValar1: Nothing exciting over here. How about for the rest of you?
karakedi25: nothing here
ArPharazonV: Nothing here.
VardaValar1: Gilraen won't admit to anything. ;-)
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Arien. : )
AriehnV: aiya all
VardaValar1: We're in membership news if you wanted to share anything, Arien?
VardaValar1: Rest of us claim comfortable dullness.

VardaValar1: Web:
VardaValar1: I am actually working on finding signs of life, er, activity, in members for updating the Membership page.
VardaValar1: All of you seem to exhibit life!
Iryenth: are you sure?
karakedi25: I guess you could call it that
VardaValar1: Enough to enter AIM, beats a whole lot of other members. :-)
Eonwe Valar: It's certainly not undeath :}
VardaValar1: hehe - good thing or your paladin might see about that!

VardaValar1: As far as the Membership page email security problem,
VardaValar1: so far it's being handled by typing "confidential" if a member doesn't want it listed,
VardaValar1: using mails built specially for the guild,
VardaValar1: and scrambling the emails listed so spambots can't handle them.
VardaValar1: Encryption seems a bit beyond us at the moment, but might be in our future if it seems needed.
VardaValar1: It's not a problem in the sense of hacking, but twice in the last 13 years we have had our page harvested for spam mails.
VardaValar1: It had to be hand done and had to be tough work for little reward, so it doesn't seem to be repeated.
VardaValar1: It's only a problem in that it may be a violation of EULA and has perturbed some members. Otherwise it seems not to be any big deal.

VardaValar1: Eonwe, did you feel like mentioning any of your web stuff at the moment?
Eonwe Valar: Not at the moment, no. I'd like it to be closer to fruition first.
VardaValar1: Aye. I prefer reporting web work we have up that everyone can look at too. : )

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: Any gaming non-LotRO or non-WoW folks would like to mention?
VardaValar1: Rory spoke up on the Forum saying howdy and that he's playing some other games, but didn't say which. But he remembers us. : )
ArPharazonV: Starcraft II :-)
ArPharazonV: few customs
ArPharazonV: nothing more
VardaValar1: Souunds like plenty. : )
VardaValar1: BroodWar a little over here. My sons play all sorts of stuff, mainly WoW though.

VardaValar1: on to WoW:
VardaValar1: Eonwe, did you have a report?
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
Eonwe Valar: Last Sunday's Run:
Eonwe Valar: Participants: Members: Eonwë, Bofur, Eowyn, Elwing, Bilbo, Sauron, Varda, NobGuild Friend: Schlep (Eowyn's husband)
Eonwe Valar: Our first goal was to take on Zul'Aman for personal and guild credit. We were tearing the the instance easily. The only problem was that we apparently killed Halazzi too fast, his area bugged out, and we weren't able to proceed.
Eonwe Valar: Stuck without the ability to finish Zul'Aman, we decided to get personal credit/guild credit for some other raids. We made a quick visit to both Magtheridon and Onyxia, tearing through both. As it turns out, though, there's no guild achievement for Onyxia.
Eonwe Valar: At this point, Sauron and Bilbo had to go. The rest of us went on to Naxxramas and defeated Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad. After some gloating over Kel'Thuzad's corpse, we went on to the Arachnid Quarter and fought Anub'Rekhan. Nob then had to call it. The rest of us quickly finished off the Arachnid Quarter, then we all called it quits.
Eonwe Valar: Our plan was to revisit Zul Aman Friday if we had enough for guild credit, and this Sunday with whoever we had if it didn't happen Friday.
Eonwe Valar: Since we didn't have enough Friday, we plan to go in tonight, and kill the bosses slightly slower :}
Eonwe Valar: That concludes my WoW report.
VardaValar1: Thank you, Eonwe. : )

VardaValar1: Lord of the Rings Online:
VardaValar1: People are positioning their LI work for Update 2 that should come around the end of March or early April. Legendary Items are getting a huge change-up after a lot of player input.
VardaValar1: Lots of other new stuff, but we'll get to that when it affects us more.
VardaValar1: Monday run was in Halls of Crafting, not an easy 6-man, but we did very well, completing it in hard mode.
VardaValar1: Wednesday we had two runs, one in the afternoon for the Europeans and one at the regular evening time for people in the Western Hemisphere that work.
VardaValar1: The afternoon run was filled with more wanting in for the Sarnur rep dungeon, much accomplished in the deeding we wanted.
VardaValar1: The evening run was in Annuminas, doing two of its instances.
VardaValar1: Glinghant is considered quite tough but we went on through it, very nearly getting hard mode except one darkwater ghost had the temerity to die a few seconds too soon.
VardaValar1: Then we ran Haudh Valandil of Annuminas for the marks, with a bit of a peek around to show folks who hadn't been there before, right up to where the last boss was. We had to break up for the night, but it was still a fun time.
VardaValar1: Thursday Indis reported doing a smooth 3-man pair of runs for the School and Library to get Superior Third Marks.
VardaValar1: Yesterday a lot of us were online so we knocked out two sections of the long bottleneck book quest for 2.5.5 helping three of us move along.
VardaValar1: We need one more section but ran out of time.
VardaValar1: We hope to catch up with the folks stuck at the next bottlenect area so we can do it together.

VardaValar1: Oh, a bit of news for Eonwe in WoW. :-)
VardaValar1: We ran a guild achievement run in BlackFathom Deep with the wolf pack. : )
VardaValar1: Ok, end report.
Eonwe Valar: Cool :}
VardaValar1: Any further comments, suggestions, new business?
ArPharazonV: uhm.. done a lot of archeology this week ;-) up to about 400 skill now
ArPharazonV: nothing more!
VardaValar1: Very nice!
top

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: We have a new post in the rp.
karakedi25: ah, must look soon
ArPharazonV: we do?
Eonwe Valar: Off-tank? Is that an official Mirkwood term? :}
VardaValar1: No : )
ArPharazonV: "What's a tank?"
VardaValar1: Suggest another way to say it. I was in a hurry. :-)
AriehnV has left the room.
AriehnV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Reload/refresh. I changed it. : )
Eonwe Valar: "He worked well in tandem with etc." perhaps?
VardaValar1: That sounds better, aye. : )
ArPharazonV: I'm not sure the concept of tanking is common outside gaming. How would you call someone who takes all the hits so the archer doesn't get interrupted? "Cannonfodder"?
VardaValar1: I changed it, totally agreed that it was an improper word.
Eonwe Valar: Cannonfodder would even be too "new" a word, but I'm sure the concept is older.
VardaValar1: The infantry is covered by artillery and air support.
ArPharazonV: Infantry.
VardaValar1: Elwing's bird didn't show up, so just artillery. : )
VardaValar1: Footsoldiers.
Eonwe Valar: Well yeah, but infantry would hopefully serve a better purpose than just fodder :}
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: I'm thinking "artillery" is mainly long-range siege weaponry. Is there no better way to describe archers?
VardaValar1: Anyway, I put helper, since he's helping the main melee infantry guy. : )
karakedi25: ranged fighters?
VardaValar1: Archers is a great way to describe archers. : )
Eonwe Valar: Arhcers would just be "archers" :}
VardaValar1: The lore-master is a ranged fighter too.
Eonwe Valar: *Archers etc.
karakedi25: exactly, and she's not an archer
AriehnV: Frali attacking rocks hehe i like that
ArPharazonV: Archers, casters, slingers, gunmen..
ArPharazonV: "Ranged."
ArPharazonV: Ranged infantry, perhaps.
Eonwe Valar: But anyway, I'd definitely like to keep the story from developing too many "RPG" elements :}
ArPharazonV: Is this still the same day? Are we out of Mirkwood yet?
VardaValar1: Aye, and I changed it. It [the RP] was originally intended as something to play while waiting for LotRO to come out. : )
Eonwe Valar: We're apparently practicing our group combat skills.
VardaValar1: We left Mirkwood a little while back.
ArPharazonV: Ah, yes.
VardaValar1: Everyone got stuck for what we wanted to do next when we discussed it in AIM. Didn't have a concensus.
ArPharazonV: True.
VardaValar1: So I went a kind of middle route to get us moving again.
ArPharazonV: Just wondering. Had a little post (not directly interacting with our party... yet) that would take place the night after the clearing-battle and reintroduce a factor that's been lost previously in the storyline, and will play a role in Angmar.
ArPharazonV: But it can basically be any night around this time.
VardaValar1: I moved us across the open area so we're next to the mountains.
ArPharazonV: *nod* as soon as nightfall hits us, I'll insert it.
ArPharazonV: Doesn't need to be immediate, in case we already spent one in the open.
ArPharazonV: Since we hadn't skipped a night so far, I figured an early warning was not necessary :-)
ArPharazonV: Anyway! We're next to the mountains?
VardaValar1: No one seemed to want to have a meeting with a Beorning, so I showed none on any of our practice hillocks.
VardaValar1: So time is passing.
Eonwe Valar: Eastern side. So our goal will be the High Pass.
ArPharazonV: *nod*
ArPharazonV: Travelling upwards soon, then.
VardaValar1: Would you like to put your night time bit shortly? We could have a mention that we're camping for the night and you could go into it.
ArPharazonV: Well, it just needs to be within a few days I guess. Are we spending the night in the mountains at some point, or camping outside?
AriehnV: and post
VardaValar1: Interesting post!
VardaValar1: (what do the runes signify we wonders, yesss we wonderssss.)
VardaValar1: Chomper, how cute. : )
ArPharazonV: Basically, it's a bit of foreshadowing in a process that leads to Angmar. I could say more if you want me to spoil it. It does require the traces of our previous battle to not be completely washed away yet.
ArPharazonV: Chomper sounds nice!
AriehnV: thanks :-) i know its a bit more hobbitish than dwarflike but i do like the name and the mount of my hunter is called that hehe
ArPharazonV: :-)
karakedi25: Meren will be very interested in those runes when Frali chooses to show them to her :-)
AriehnV: the runes were a spontaneous idea and i think it would make sense that they d become more clear as the handle is touched more often maybe
VardaValar1: After seeing how a horse or pony chomps into grass etc, it's a very reasonable name.
VardaValar1: Or because we're coming close to goblin territory? Or because of what Phar's about to post?
AriehnV: it was the orc sword that Menels character handed to Frali remember after the skirmish at the crossing?
VardaValar1: Spontaneous ideas make this kind of story interesting. : ) Never know what someone will throw into the mix next!
ArPharazonV: Spontaneous ideas are good. I've had my own storyline worked out for like.. a year now, if not longer.
ArPharazonV: It's just waiting until I get to put the posts in ;-)
VardaValar1: Let us know when you post, Phar.
AriehnV: and since then Frali used it in his exercises and started to handle it at times
ArPharazonV: Well, want me to write it now? going into Nightfall? Or can I say dusk's coming or something? :-)
VardaValar1: Unless Auros wants to call on us to set camp first?
Eonwe Valar: I'm considering if I have anything useful to add :}
ArPharazonV: Or should I clear my surprise post with you first? ;-)
VardaValar1: You need us to be in camp first?
ArPharazonV: Well, it's best done at night. Mystery, shadow. Dark shapes.
ArPharazonV: That's the only requirement, really.
ArPharazonV: Bit of moon perhaps, but that's for optional dramatic elements.
ArPharazonV: Assuming we camp at night...
ArPharazonV: I could go like "Calion looked back at Mirkwood one last time, before heading into the mountains." *pan back into Mirkwood* "That night....
VardaValar1: So we could still be traveling to where we intend to camp for the night?
ArPharazonV: Well it's a jump into night, and a flashforward might not suit our story. But we could be camping in the next post or something, or let the new day come and us on the move again.
VardaValar1: I flash-forwarded already.
ArPharazonV: Well I could go forward to the night, and it would be up to the next poster whether it's a flash-forward, we're camping, or it's the next day already.
VardaValar1: We pretty well crossed the whole open area and the river. Quite a chunk of flash-forward.
ArPharazonV: Well I mean with "flash-forward" as opposed to a "flashback" that we'd have one scene in the (near) future and then shift back to the previous moment.
ArPharazonV: Not the meaning of "skipping a bit"
karakedi25: Meren will have used the crossing for replenishing herbs and finding new ones, but I can put that in as part of another post
VardaValar1: No need to do any flashback. Just go ahead as planned.
ArPharazonV: So I'll head into dusk, write my scene, and next post can start next day or in camp?
ArPharazonV: Or do you have any other ideas?
Eonwe Valar: Don't post yet.
VardaValar1: We spent the day crossing the open area, the river, and coming into the early twilight that mountains cause. We're looking ahead for a potential camp and are probably a bit tired.
galdorandwe has entered the room.
galdorandwe: Aiya Valarite
AriehnV: aiya Galdor :-)
VardaValar1: Aiya Galdor
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
VardaValar1: We are working on our forum posts, Galdor. Maybe you'd like to follow along and see what's happening?
ArPharazonV: Not posting yet then, Eonwe :-)
galdorandwe: I'm not certain how to scroll back...completely computer illiterate
VardaValar1: You can't scroll back to what you haven't been in..
VardaValar1: But I meant open the forum and look for the new posts on the story.
Eonwe Valar: You can follow along with the RP story on the Forum.
ArPharazonV: *scrolls back to last week*
galdorandwe: Oh, you mean Scouting Ahead?
ArPharazonV: Yeah
VardaValar1: Yes.
galdorandwe: I'll get something together one day for that. I have ideas but nothing concrete
VardaValar1: We are just suggesting looking at it so you'll know what we're doing.
galdorandwe: There are many blanks left to fill in for the whole Tolkein world...small areas for less intrusive stories...it makes for iteresting speculation...
VardaValar1: Yes. That's why there is so much fan fiction. : )
VardaValar1: He did it on purpose.
galdorandwe: There is ana area that always made me scratch my head though
VardaValar1: We are currently working on the part where Elrond sent out scouts ahead of the Fellowship.
galdorandwe: retracting last comment
VardaValar1: Do you need help with the url to the story?
ArPharazonV: Ahh, "currently", such a magnificent word in this situation.
ArPharazonV: As if we haven't been doing so for the last 7 years :-)
VardaValar1: Gang, I have to go now. *passes the gavel to Eonwe*
galdorandwe has left the room.
VardaValar1: I look forward to reading whatever you put up!
ArPharazonV: Namarie.. and we lost Galdor it seems?
VardaValar1: Aye, don't know what happened.
VardaValar1: Anyway, his suggested topic was

VardaValar1: Quote: Did all the elves who survived Ost-In-Edhil go to Imladris? or did they set up other small outposts? An age earlier, when Turin was raised in an elf refuge, it would seem plausable that other elf small outposts might have sprung up similarly at the time Elrond led the survivors to Imladris.
VardaValar1: Have fun with it, and if he comes back, let him know what you said about it.
VardaValar1 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: Pooh, tough call. It is likely that remnants escaped to Lindon and Lorien as well. But in the time of LotR, you don't hear anything about Elves coming from any other place than Rivendell, west of the Misty Mountains.
ArPharazonV: So if there were unknown outposts, they seem quite insignificant, or disappeared by the end of the Third Age.
karakedi25: I'd agree with Phar
Eonwe Valar: Posted.
ArPharazonV: allright, writing mine
Eonwe Valar: And yeah, I think that if there were a significant presence of Eldar/Noldor outside of the groups we know of, they would've been mentioned somewhere by Tolkien.
AriehnV: i think Tolkien mentioned that most of the surviivors of Ost in Edil did join
AriehnV: either Elrond in Imladris, Celeborn and galadriel in Lothlorien or Lindon
AriehnV: was that the area in the south?
ArPharazonV: Lindon is to the west, the Grey Havens :-)
AriehnV: oopsie :-) all right , that would be Cirdans lot
ArPharazonV: Hmm. We have been killing Orcs on the path, right? Or did we all flee to the clearing without making some kills?
AriehnV: there would be kills from the path to the clearing
ArPharazonV: I think Gil-galad was still in charge at the time, Arien :-)
AriehnV: all right then, Cirdan took over from him is it?
AriehnV: he was Gil Galads advisor first ?
ArPharazonV: Cirdan was in charge of the Elves on the southwestern coast of Beleriand and the island of Balar before the War of Wrath, but obeyed Gil-galad who was king of all Elves in Middle-Earth.
ArPharazonV: or well, the west of it.
ArPharazonV: So... advisor, probably, in charge of the fleets, definitely. Perhaps oversaw the Grey Havens personally at the time.
Eonwe Valar: Gil'Galad was High-King of the Noldor.
Eonwe Valar: *Gil-Galad
ArPharazonV: Yes. That's the term I was looking for.
Eonwe Valar: The only Elf *all* elves would acknoeledge as their High-King would be Ingwë.
AriehnV has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: Cirdan during the First Age acknowledged Thingol, as I recall.
AriehnV has entered the room.
AriehnV: pfft ping pong again
AriehnV: have i missed anything?
Eonwe Valar: Eonwe Valar (6:01:49 PM): Cirdan during the First Age acknowledged Thingol, as I recall.
Eonwe Valar: Only thing that's been said.
AriehnV: oki

ArPharazonV: oh, Eonwe, a question
ArPharazonV: the bodies of the Orcs and spiders we slew, are they still where we left them? Did the Elven patrols dispose of them, burn them?
Eonwe Valar: They're disposed of aye, likely burned.
ArPharazonV: Nothing left for wild animals to feast on?
Eonwe Valar: I doubt. Seems while the Free People's are loath to burn their own, that doesn't apply to servants of the Enemy, i.e. orcs and the like.
Eonwe Valar: Especially if burning would prove quicker, as is the case with the Rohirrim burning Saruman's orcs.
ArPharazonV: Well, I've got em feasting on the charred remains anyway. Hope that's not too much of a problem.
Eonwe Valar: I seem to vaguely recall a scene where wargs were eating the remains of orcs or something similar. Don't remember where it's from though, but there was a comment about that showing the worth of their "friendship" or something like that.
ArPharazonV: Well, this would be... similar.
ArPharazonV: Except the friendship is even less.
AriehnV: hmm it rings a bell this .. Eomer or Erkenbrand or even maybe King Theoden
karakedi25 has left the room.
AriehnV: i vaguely remember the comment tho :-)
karakedi25 has entered the room.
karakedi25: not sure how I got disconnected
AriehnV: ah welcome back :-)
Eonwe Valar: Welcome back :}
karakedi25: thanks
AriehnV has left the room.
AriehnV has entered the room.
AriehnV: hmm weird happened to me now as well
AriehnV: nothing to do with my web
ArPharazonV: Posting.
ArPharazonV: Post has arrived!
AriehnV: but anyways , something black , cute and furry is eager to chase me from my chair hehe but i am reading this post :-)
ArPharazonV: I think I've given away enough hints in it, but still left an air of mystery I hope.
ArPharazonV: Some of the concepts are a bit far-fetched, but it starts the final setup towards Angmar, and would tie up some loose ends nicely.
ArPharazonV: Rather pleased with how the whole thing came out, considering I've been brooding on it for months.
Eonwe Valar: I don't know if any "wholesome" animals would want to eat orc meat.
ArPharazonV: Was considering that as well. But spiders might be allright, and they have a lot of mouths to feed anyway.
AriehnV: mmmh i doubt if these are "wholesome"
AriehnV: certainly mysterious and a good setup for angmar :-)
AriehnV: sleep weel now and i shall see you next week , in one way or another and look forward to any future posts
ArPharazonV: They are, in a way. In a sort of "epilogue" concerning them that I've already written in my mind, post Angmar, they become a reclusive group in the Northwest corners of Mirkwood (and Greenwood), defending the Forest from the Orcs in their own way and living with the Elves in a "We won't bother you if you won't bother us" kind of peace.
ArPharazonV: Namarie Arien :-)
AriehnV: and who or what are they i wonder?
ArPharazonV: I probably spoil too much by saying, we've met their leader already.
AriehnV: Namarie :-)
AriehnV has left the room.
Menelvagor Valar has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Heya Menel.
ArPharazonV: Aiya!
Eonwe Valar: New posts to the RP you might want to check out.
karakedi25: hi Menel
Menelvagor Valar: Okies, thanks for reminding me... I'll read up on them :-)
Menelvagor Valar: Quite a few, so it seems.
Menelvagor Valar: hmmm...
Menelvagor Valar: I am rather puzzled by Phar's post.
ArPharazonV: Well it's supposed to be both informative and concealing at the same time. Is there anything in particular you're confused about?
Menelvagor Valar: well, it's about the former allies and having found a way to break free from the enemy's influence.
Menelvagor Valar: It's an idea I've been playing with a couple years ago, but eventually dismissed.
ArPharazonV: Well we've seen it done. Seems like a natural progression.
Menelvagor Valar: At least dismissed for those who are too close to the corruption, such as creations or "alterations" made by the enemy.
Menelvagor Valar: not for Trolls or Orcs though.
ArPharazonV: These are not those :-)
Menelvagor Valar: wolves then?
Menelvagor Valar: Helvy? ^^
ArPharazonV: *applauds* there you go
ArPharazonV: Wondered who'd be the first to guess.
Menelvagor Valar: As quick and invisible as shadows they bounded through the forest.
karakedi25: I guessed wargs, but wolves are close enough
ArPharazonV: I've been playing with the idea myself. Last time we saw Helvy was when Calaron's outpost got overwhelmed.
Menelvagor Valar: Wargs are the enemy's alteration on wolves ^^
karakedi25: yes
Menelvagor Valar: wargs are bred evil.
karakedi25: nice post--looking forward to seeing where it goes
Menelvagor Valar: wolves are not. they are very normally and usually used for evil, and seen as such by many, but not always so.
ArPharazonV: So I figured, what would he be doing next, and how would he come back? For years I've harboured the idea of him getting a pack, leading a sort of resistance pack to the shadow from which Calion freed him, and which took over Calaron.
ArPharazonV: And eventually that grew into the idea of him freeing other wolves in some way we need not even specified, until he grew a troop large enough to challenge some of the Orcs etc.
ArPharazonV: And here is where that pack first appears.
ArPharazonV: And now they're after the source of their past corruption: the sorcerer, inside Calaron, a source of Shadow.
ArPharazonV: It's rather far-fetched, but it works, and it makes a rather fun addition to the story.
ArPharazonV: I think I first conceived this idea even before I wrote the post where he fled from the battlefield.
karakedi25: It will be interesting to see how this melds with the continuing story
karakedi25: I need to log out now, though--nice meeting
karakedi25: namarie
karakedi25 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: That likely won't be until Angmar. I still have to fill in the details, it largely depends on how our story would go. As our party approaches Angmar, I'll likely parallel it with the arrival of the wolves.
Menelvagor Valar: You will have to make sure the wolves route around Rivendell though :-)
ArPharazonV: Main idea is that they would assist us in taking care of Calaron in the climax-scene we'll have with him, but the details are sketchy at best, and the scenario keeps changing in my mind.
ArPharazonV: They should approach from the eastside of the Misty Mountains, through some orc-passes or tunnels or whatever.
ArPharazonV: They will not pass through Eriador.
ArPharazonV: It's the final piece of the puzzle for me. Calaron and Helvy are my stories, basically, and I'll try to keep any influence or weird twists aside from these to a minimum after their part in the story is finally done.
ArPharazonV: My last major mark on Scouting Ahead, I'll be happy to cooperate or follow on anything that happens afterwards.
ArPharazonV: So bear with me on these events and concepts, and I'll promise to behave in the future ;-)
Menelvagor Valar: I would not count on tunnels... it's most likely they will take natural mountain passes... mostly those that are inaccesable by most humanoids.
ArPharazonV: Exactly.
Menelvagor Valar: You haven't read Wheel of Time, have you?
ArPharazonV: Tunnels did seem weird, but for a moment I did think of a sort of shortcut to Angmar through goblin-tunnels, like the final levels of the Frozen Throne.
ArPharazonV: No, I haven't.
ArPharazonV: But you're right, tunnels wouldn't be preferable for wolves.

ArPharazonV: Hmm. I'm rather excited about this development, really. I have been thinking of this for years, molding it to as close to perfection as I could get, but I was worried how everyone would react. So far comments have been very mild, and if this works out I'll be very happy ;-)
ArPharazonV: And I did not know that, Menel :-)
