VardaValar1 (23:07:35): Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1 (23:07:38): Membership:
VardaValar1 (23:07:47): Eonwe is working right now and had to miss the meeting.
Menelvagor Valar (23:07:57): Aiya :-)
VardaValar1 (23:08:00): Ar-Pharazon is traveling and had to miss also.
VardaValar1 (23:08:05): Hello there, Menel  :-)
VardaValar1 (23:08:21): Fladrif has about 20 minutes to be with us.
fladrifv (23:08:30): blame the hotel owner
fladrifv (23:08:34): for beeing greedy
VardaValar1 (23:08:36): hehe
VardaValar1 (23:08:45): I'm happy to have that 20 minutes. : )
Menelvagor Valar (23:08:56): why not use your laptop with wireless and tap into the connection? ^^
fladrifv (23:09:12): I did, but its not for free in germany
VardaValar1 (23:09:17): We have a new member in LotRO, in initiate status while he chooses a name. He's with us right now in the character of Feladiron.
fladrifv (23:09:37): yay
VardaValar1 (23:10:02): I think you'd like a lot of these guys from LotRO if I could get them to come here. Maybe they'll come now and then.
VardaValar1 (23:10:13): Any further membership news?
Menelvagor Valar (23:10:21): Aye.
VardaValar1 (23:10:40): Fire away!
Menelvagor Valar (23:10:56): I was supposed to be in Scotland at this very time, but afraid I had to stay home due to 2 reasons.
Menelvagor Valar (23:11:55): First I had a very bad cold, maybe a few flu symptoms, but nothing like the mexican, so I'm all right, but it was really annoying, and only now start to feeling better (somewhat)
Menelvagor Valar (23:12:15): And the second reason is more of a personal nature, so not going to disclose that here :-)
karakedi25 (23:12:22): Arienwyn: just wanted to pop in quickly to say goodbye for a few days . We are going on holiday (vacation) for nine days to see my parents in Germany
karakedi25 (23:12:36): Arienwyn: so i ll be offline untill the 12th
karakedi25 (23:12:47): (she came briefly into lotro)
Menelvagor Valar (23:13:06): At least someone is going overseas ^^
VardaValar1 (23:14:10): LotRO doubles as a good chat program. :-)
karakedi25 (23:14:33): hehe
VardaValar1 (23:14:36): We're always glad to have you with us Menel, sorry you're not feeling well and hope you get better very soon!
VardaValar1 (23:14:44): Thanks for relaying, Indis!
karakedi25 (23:15:10): mp :-)
AriehnV (23:15:46) has entered the room.
VardaValar1 (23:15:50): Aiya Arien!
VardaValar1 (23:15:58): Glad you had a minute to drop by. :-)
VardaValar1 (23:16:08): I enjoyed your post to the rp :-)
AriehnV (23:16:20): good good :-)
karakedi25 (23:16:23): ooh I have to take a look!
Menelvagor Valar (23:16:29): same!

VardaValar1 (23:16:30): Web: (while Indis reads)
VardaValar1 (23:16:35): (and Menel) hehe
VardaValar1 (23:17:06): Tolkien Site:
VardaValar1 (23:17:35): I am doing some article updating to ones that haven't been worked on for a while, of mine. That should be showing up soon I hope.
VardaValar1 (23:18:15): Still backlogged on stories, but hoping to correct that. There's a little confusion on which version to put up, but it's being taken care of.
VardaValar1 (23:18:45): Articles are the main part of our site, but lately it seems to be mostly stories coming in.
VardaValar1 (23:19:02): Please feel free to make sure the info on your own characters are in good shape.
VardaValar1 (23:19:11): Any further web news?
karakedi25 (23:19:20): back
VardaValar1 (23:19:25): Welcome back :-)
top

VardaValar1 (23:19:33): Gaming:
VardaValar1 (23:19:47): Let's make this part a little quicker than usual in deference to Fladrif's time problem.
VardaValar1 (23:20:03): Which games have we played this week that aren't WoW or LotRO? :-)
AriehnV (23:20:58): allright you lovely Valarites take care all :-)  we ll just grab some sleep
AriehnV (23:21:05): or at least rest
VardaValar1 (23:21:13): Arien wait
Menelvagor Valar (23:21:14): Good night and have a great trip Arien!
RP:
VardaValar1 (23:21:22): I need to know if you or Estarion is crossing with us right now
AriehnV (23:21:22): ok
VardaValar1 (23:21:28): I posted after you.
Menelvagor Valar (23:21:42): I'd say it would best be me first :-)
VardaValar1 (23:22:03): The slip could be from Estarion, Frali, or myself, and could be after we get some horses across.
AriehnV (23:22:06): One of the elves first aye , they are surest on foot
AriehnV (23:22:16): the slip should be from Frali
Menelvagor Valar (23:22:16): then I can keep an eye on everything around us, and still be nearby to jump after whoever falls in :-)
VardaValar1 (23:22:18): Ok, so I'll leave my post as it stands
VardaValar1 (23:22:26): You did seem to be setting him up
VardaValar1 (23:22:48): He's very lovable, so that should make the readers gasp the most. They'll care. :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:22:56): hehe :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:23:09): While Estarion is still somewhat of a stranger, eh? ^^
AriehnV (23:23:12): Hihi he can fall asleep when he falls in so it doesnt matter if i dont post ;-)
VardaValar1 (23:23:20): He's just cool, Menel. :-)
karakedi25 (23:23:23): Frali is a sweetheart :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:23:42): Only a woman could make a man look like a sweetheart if you ask me *grin*
VardaValar1 (23:23:42): The plan was the rain only makes the river able to cause grogginess, not put them out.
karakedi25 (23:23:49): Meren wants to get to know him better
AriehnV (23:24:02): cool love rivals  :-D
karakedi25 (23:24:10): I *am* a woman :p
VardaValar1 (23:24:18): Ok, we'll go ahead with Estarion crossing first.
AriehnV (23:24:35): hehe love to read your posts i ll check them in an internet cafe :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:24:36): And if you hadn't noticed Arien, Estarion's got an eye for Fainan ^^
VardaValar1 (23:24:40): When should we have Frali slip? Should it be when we're nearly done crossing to give Arien time to come home?
VardaValar1 (23:24:44): hehe
VardaValar1 (23:25:03): And Fainan has an eye for Auros, but expects nothing to come of it and feels quite unattached.
Menelvagor Valar (23:25:15): Yeah, I would say Frali as one of the last to cross.
Menelvagor Valar (23:25:36): possibly with Calion or Auros, or even yourself.
AriehnV (23:25:38): muhaha what entangle that gives
VardaValar1 (23:26:00): There are friendships too, doesn't just have to be romance.
Menelvagor Valar (23:26:09): mymymy, almost feels like we're writing a trashy romance novel....
Menelvagor Valar (23:26:14): with actual substance ^^
VardaValar1 (23:26:22): Fainan will try not to be romantically involved on this kind of undertaking, as it would get in the way of a smooth mission.
karakedi25 (23:26:33): Meren would not have a romance with a dwarf, but she would seek friendship
VardaValar1 (23:26:47): Most books have some romance involved, but we don't have to make it a main thing.
Menelvagor Valar (23:27:08): And Estarion would put the mission above any of his feelings, as his people are first and foremost in his mind.
karakedi25 (23:27:11): there's already a touch of romantic tension, and that's a good place to leave it, I think
VardaValar1 (23:27:40): I agree, just the tension and touches of it are enough to make the reading fun.
Menelvagor Valar (23:28:06): While romance can blossom in times of danger, I think it's not the place to actually go into any romantic stuff.
fladrifv (23:28:10): Ok im running out of time
fladrifv (23:28:13): see you all
karakedi25 (23:28:14): darn
fladrifv (23:28:16): Namarie
VardaValar1 (23:28:17): Ok, our main business is done. :-)
karakedi25 (23:28:19): take care, and thanks for coming
VardaValar1 (23:28:20): Thanks for coming!
Menelvagor Valar (23:28:24): Namarie Fladrif.
VardaValar1 (23:28:24): I will mention that
fladrifv (23:28:26): Youre welcome

VardaValar1 (23:28:30): Fladrif got me into Second Life.
VardaValar1 (23:28:45): It was quite fun, although I wouldn't be in it frequently.
Menelvagor Valar (23:28:51): Is it any better (or worse) than your first real one Varda? ^^
VardaValar1 (23:28:52): I will be popping in now and again.
fladrifv (23:28:53): Thought varda had not enough to do *wink*
VardaValar1 (23:29:04): Thanks a lot, Flad! lol
karakedi25 (23:29:14): I have a life member character there...her name is Kitra Kothari
karakedi25 (23:29:28): haven't been there for quite a while though
fladrifv (23:29:38): join the faery circle :)
fladrifv (23:29:47) has left the room.
VardaValar1 (23:30:04): I joined Faery Crossing
karakedi25 (23:30:55): if I go back in, maybe I'll get a chance to join as well
AriehnV (23:30:56): Namarie all :-) be safe and fight well :-)
VardaValar1 (23:30:57): We might try popping in together sometime after a Sunday meeting, when Flad is back. :-)

Tolkien:
Menelvagor Valar (23:30:58): Anyways, before the interruption, I was about to say that I'm trying to stick as close as possible to Tolkien's Spirit in writing, and he drops a few hints of romance here and there, but does not fully develop any of them until very late in the story.
karakedi25 (23:31:04): Namarie
VardaValar1 (23:31:10): Namarie!
Menelvagor Valar (23:31:11): Namarie Arien :-)
AriehnV (23:31:14) has left the room.
VardaValar1 (23:31:36): Aye, there's romance but it's kept to the side of the Hobbit's ring quest story.
Menelvagor Valar (23:31:49): Aye.
VardaValar1 (23:32:01): Most of the Arwen and Aragorn romance is told in the appendix, but is hinted at in the main story.
Menelvagor Valar (23:32:11): It's there, but sidelined for more important matters to all those involved.
VardaValar1 (23:32:19): It's enough to understand his motivation and show he has feelings. : )
VardaValar1 (23:32:42): He didn't need to hit us with a baseball bat to show what was going on.
Menelvagor Valar (23:33:03): I was more thinking of Eowyn and ... gah... memory has abondoned me!
VardaValar1 (23:33:09): Sam and Rosie's romance was good too.
VardaValar1 (23:33:12): Aye, Faramir and Eowyn
karakedi25 (23:33:20): yes
Menelvagor Valar (23:33:20): Faramir! thank you a ton :-)
VardaValar1 (23:33:23): That was actuallly shown, and beautifullly.
VardaValar1 (23:33:36): I used to play Faramir before Varda. : )
Menelvagor Valar (23:33:48): But still that was also "sidelined" for more important facets at that time.
VardaValar1 (23:34:06): It was shown just enough that we could see it mending two broken characters.
Menelvagor Valar (23:34:18): And Faramir and Eowyn had a "better" setup for developing romance than Aragorn and Arwen or Rosie and Sam.
VardaValar1 (23:34:19): It showed romance as a healing thing, and Aragorn's as a motivating thing.
Menelvagor Valar (23:34:30): Aye.
VardaValar1 (23:34:50): Sam's was more a sacrifice and something to look forward to, making him want to survive.
VardaValar1 (23:35:04): Frodo was unattached and could have stepped off into the lava.
VardaValar1 (23:35:37): He would have if Gollum hadn't interfered and accidentally saved him.
Menelvagor Valar (23:35:56): To take your baseball bat analogy Varda, I think Tolkien writes about romance the way it should be, private, yet public enough to show it to others, just the same as couple could share a beautiful sunset, and tell others about how it was, yet not reveal any intimate details.
VardaValar1 (23:35:57): Tolkien's take on romance shows it as a good and beautiful thing.
VardaValar1 (23:36:10): Right, Menel!
VardaValar1 (23:36:42): We shifted right across the meeting into Tolkien. I love you folks. :-)
karakedi25 (23:36:44): I think he built it on his wholesome romance with his wife
VardaValar1 (23:36:54): I agree, that was his experience.

Gaming continued:
Menelvagor Valar (23:36:57): Well, I had a piece of gaming news ^^
Menelvagor Valar (23:37:08): It was side-tracked due to Arien needing to leave though :-D
VardaValar1 (23:37:18): The dancing in the forest was done by his wife, and showed by Luthien and Arwen, the two most beautiful women in his writings.
VardaValar1 (23:37:30): Ok, Menel. Go ahead with your news. :  )
Menelvagor Valar (23:37:50): Pharazon and I hooked up in Red Alert 3 this week for some action.
Menelvagor Valar (23:38:02): we played a couple missions together, which is really fun.
VardaValar1 (23:38:04): Cool. How do you get together?
Menelvagor Valar (23:38:26): RA3 sports an online system, much like battle.net
Menelvagor Valar (23:39:21): with friend lists, games, but the greatest thing, is that all missions are actually done by 2 commanders, in single-player mode, the second commander is always an AI, but online one could opt to play it together with someone else.
Menelvagor Valar (23:39:29): So that's what Pharazon did for a bit.
Menelvagor Valar (23:39:44): And then we went for a few games of good old-fashioned comp-stomp.
Menelvagor Valar (23:40:32): the first one ended up in us being completely obliterated as we were caught off-guard by how fast the opposing comps invaded us.... or rather they teamed up on me and kicked me out of the game :P
VardaValar1 (23:41:38): *catches the flying Menelvagor and tosses him back in*
Menelvagor Valar (23:41:39): The second game, I showed my (ahem) amazing adaptability and immediately prepared for any invading forces and set up a number of base defenses, while still (as I did in WC3) teching to the highest level and getting an attack force ready.
Menelvagor Valar (23:42:33): I played as the "Empire of the Rising Sun", which is basically the Japanese with massively advanced technology, including some ufo-like submarines / aircraft.
Menelvagor Valar (23:43:33): Pharazon played as the Russians, utilizing all their abilities splendidly, albeit a bit slow, but he's still learning, so that's ok :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:44:36): Oh, and we used AIM as a platform to start playing, since the online thing is quite separate from the single-player stuff, and besides, we have tons of other games we still play :-)
VardaValar1 (23:45:15): Excellent!
VardaValar1 (23:45:34): That lets others find you, rather like the Valarian version of the old Battlenet. ;-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:45:36): And that concludes my Valarite get-together in RA3 :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:45:59): Aye.
VardaValar1 (23:46:02): Thank you, Menel!
Menelvagor Valar (23:46:21): And the online is actually not divided into separate timezones, as b.net did, but one worldwide network.
VardaValar1 (23:46:24): Sauron and Bilbo have been playing Atlantica together lately. Have you seen that?
Menelvagor Valar (23:46:43): I have actually tried that out a few weeks ago.
VardaValar1 (23:46:45): Aye, we used to get around the time zone by making Eastern the Valar Standard time in any game.
VardaValar1 (23:46:55): About the same time then! Neat
Menelvagor Valar (23:47:11): Didn't think much of it though.
Menelvagor Valar (23:47:18): I prefer WoW, EVE and LotRO ^^
Menelvagor Valar (23:47:44): I admit, it has a fun combat system, but it's too different from WoW.
Menelvagor Valar (23:47:58): I can easily adapt to knowns, but I am horrible with unknowns.
Menelvagor Valar (23:48:23): Like Final Fantasy XI, I played that for a month or two, and then went back to WoW, cause I couldn't cope with the system.
VardaValar1 (23:48:24): So, when is good for you to come to LotRO?
VardaValar1 (23:48:36): Be nice to work it so all the Europeans could join up at the same time to play
Menelvagor Valar (23:48:41): Well...
Menelvagor Valar (23:48:55): I am going to give WoW one more try with a different raiding guild.
Menelvagor Valar (23:49:15): and if that doesn't pan out, I'll prolly stretch my time between LotRO, EVE and studies.
Menelvagor Valar (23:49:23): In no particular order of importance of course ^^
VardaValar1 (23:49:40): Why not a couple of hours a week on LotRO, coordinating with Arien and Imrahil maybe?
karakedi25 (23:49:48): would be nice to have you in LotRO :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:50:09): Well, if we could work out some times, that would be great :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:50:33): Thing is, the one thing that got me extremely bored with WoW, and subsequently all other MMOs is the solo play.
VardaValar1 (23:50:38): A particular day that works best for you, then try to get together.
VardaValar1 (23:50:55): That's why you need to coordinate as you did with Red Alert
VardaValar1 (23:51:13): If I could be more regular, it would be a big help to our group, I think.
Menelvagor Valar (23:51:18): It's... bearable when able to chat with others, but boring to the point of senselessness if all you have is yourself.
VardaValar1 (23:52:06): Hard on a server that's mostly in the Americas.
Menelvagor Valar (23:52:12): Exactly.
Menelvagor Valar (23:52:20): Which is usually why I return to WoW.
VardaValar1 (23:52:23): We have some other Europeans who would be thrilled if you guys showed up
Menelvagor Valar (23:52:26): more chance of chattage, so to speak.
VardaValar1 (23:52:31): Just need a time
VardaValar1 (23:52:33): hehe - aye
Menelvagor Valar (23:53:26): Well, I'd be willing to set up a weekly thing that used to be the case in WoW, if only I knew everyone who'd be interested in European Time Zone levelling :-)
VardaValar1 (23:53:41): You know Arien
Menelvagor Valar (23:53:56): In fact, just talking about it, made me think of a few ideas I could work out perhaps :-)
VardaValar1 (23:54:00): If you two show up together, others probably would.
VardaValar1 (23:54:21): Cool! Maybe you could organize a weekly get-together.  : )
VardaValar1 (23:54:30): Let me know and I'll try to help you out on that.
Menelvagor Valar (23:54:33): I hope so! :-)
VardaValar1 (23:54:46): Right now is hard with people traveling, but we'll be around a long time.
Menelvagor Valar (23:54:53): indeed :-)
Menelvagor Valar (23:55:02): taking the matter futher in IM btw :-)
VardaValar1 (23:55:04): If nothing else, I have two accounts to keep the kinship open. Both lifetime.  ;-)
VardaValar1 (23:55:23): I think we are done with the main meeting, unless anyone has more to add?
karakedi25 (23:55:46): I'm happy to join in and help make whatever go, as long as it isn't in the really wee hours of the morning EST
Menelvagor Valar (23:56:13): Nah, prolly early afternoon EST.
Menelvagor Valar (23:56:29): like 19:00 GMT, or 2 PM EST.
karakedi25 (23:56:36): some days I can do that
VardaValar1 (23:56:59): That would be workable for some of us.
Menelvagor Valar (23:57:32): weekends may be an idea as well, but as some people would go out, it might be midday, or early / mid-morning for the US.
VardaValar1 (23:58:09): Weekends the Melkorrim run in the morning to noon and sometimes into the afternoon, and welcome others running with them. You have but to ask.
Menelvagor Valar (23:59:52): I am more thinking about low level chars ^^
VardaValar1 (0:01:15): You won't stay low at that rate
VardaValar1 (0:01:20): Fangorn says hi!
Menelvagor Valar (0:01:30): Hello to my favorite Texan!
Menelvagor Valar (0:01:37): well, second favorite actually :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:01:47): Varda stays solidly at number one ^^
karakedi25 (0:01:59): how low are you talking about?
VardaValar1 (0:02:00): aww - we thank you.
VardaValar1 (0:02:14): They can start at level one and work up together.
Menelvagor Valar (0:02:15): You know, for a week or so after I left, I still had traces of Fangorn's accent.
VardaValar1 (0:02:22): lol
Menelvagor Valar (0:02:24): Between zip and 20 :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:02:36): I was so sad (and still am) that I lost it!
VardaValar1 (0:02:53): He says feel free to bring up his accent now and then to impress your friends. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:02:59): I wouldn't even think the Queen's British is better :-)
VardaValar1 (0:03:07): lol
VardaValar1 (0:03:11): Thank you
Menelvagor Valar (0:03:15): I can't for the life of me remember exactly how.
VardaValar1 (0:03:18): I'm very fond of his accent too
VardaValar1 (0:03:33): Maybe we can get his mic working and you can talk to him in LotRO. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:03:37): I suspect that's the majority of the reasons why you married him *wink*
VardaValar1 (0:04:03): I love his voice and what he uses it to say. ;-)
VardaValar1 (0:04:19): He's a real white knight.
Menelvagor Valar (0:05:06): Yeah, I must admit that his stallion looked real shiny too *grin*
VardaValar1 (0:05:44): That's a fine white pick-up truck, aye. : )
VardaValar1 (0:07:40): When you have a day you'd like to try, let us know. :-)
VardaValar1 (0:07:53): I'd like to pop in at that time too.
Menelvagor Valar (0:08:12): Of course.
Menelvagor Valar (0:08:36): I could put up a thread on the forum about it, comparing times and such.
Menelvagor Valar (0:09:01): That is, if everyone is willing to use the forums as a general informational booth for this :-)
karakedi25 (0:09:02): I might be able to join, though I only have one more character slot left
VardaValar1 (0:09:03): Irmo used to have a time he ran a group daily, but it tended to burn them out. I do recommend at least once a week or maybe a couple of times.
VardaValar1 (0:09:26): Sure, use the forum and we can tell the Europeans to check it out.
karakedi25 (0:09:26): I wish we would use the forum more for communication, actually
VardaValar1 (0:09:34): We can. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:11:25): A lot of people don't use it though.
VardaValar1 (0:11:36): But they will if they believe it affects them.
VardaValar1 (0:11:48): I am trying to figure out when most people come on.
VardaValar1 (0:11:55): Afternoon tends to be pretty light
VardaValar1 (0:12:10): Morning is often crafting or deeding, mail, but can be for running.
VardaValar1 (0:12:16): After dinner seems the liveliest.
karakedi25 (0:12:37): evenings are most populated
Menelvagor Valar (0:12:46): well, part of the idea is to get the deeds together as much as possible :-)
VardaValar1 (0:12:50): Aye, what Indis said.
Menelvagor Valar (0:12:57): Aye.
Menelvagor Valar (0:13:08): but that's when everyone is home from work and has time :-)
VardaValar1 (0:13:10): Afternoon is lightest
Menelvagor Valar (0:13:14): To us that's nappy time :-)
VardaValar1 (0:13:30): But still has people.
Menelvagor Valar (0:13:47): Aye.
VardaValar1 (0:15:02): I need to be deeding too, not just instancing. Also nice to make a bit of money while doing that, and rather peaceful.
karakedi25 (0:15:54): indeed, and that's what Alasse is doing now, as we speak.
karakedi25 (0:15:57): worms in ND
karakedi25 (0:16:42): Heleth is 'one-biting' them ;-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:17:40): Ohh!

Menelvagor Valar (0:17:52): A bit of membership news...albeit belatedly :-)
VardaValar1 (0:18:19): Now is good  :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:18:38): I'm not exactly sure on the precise date...
Menelvagor Valar (0:19:03): But it's now no more than a few weeks 10 years ago that I made first contact with Varda :-)
karakedi25 (0:19:37): congratulations to both of you :-)
VardaValar1 (0:19:42): Yay : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:20:28): Thanks Indis :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:23:12): Oh... and while looking through old emails...
Menelvagor Valar (0:23:25): I have located the exact date that the Valar Guild Forums went online :-)
VardaValar1 (0:23:44): Which ones?
VardaValar1 (0:23:54): Yahoo board?
VardaValar1 (0:24:02): There was another before that, but it's gone.
VardaValar1 (0:24:09): We now have a ProBoard
Menelvagor Valar (0:24:13): Proboard :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:24:19): Yahoo is the Message Board.
Menelvagor Valar (0:24:26): and Proboard is the Forums :-)
VardaValar1 (0:24:46): You are one of the few people who remember that distinction. Bless you. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:25:10): well, how could I not :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:25:20): I am the one who set up the forums after all :-)
VardaValar1 (0:25:25): Tulkas popped online in AIM briefly during the meeting, think he crashed. Say hi if you spot him. :-)
VardaValar1 (0:25:34): True! You did :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:25:38): I still have the emails between you and I to prove that, if it even needed any :-)
VardaValar1 (0:25:47): You are now the admin :-)
VardaValar1 (0:26:01): I know you set up the ProBoards, no need to convince me. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:26:06): But the earliest I can find is august 29th 2003.
VardaValar1 (0:26:20): Might show up in the News Archives.
Menelvagor Valar (0:27:36): might be!
Menelvagor Valar (0:27:40): I'll check it out!
VardaValar1 (0:27:56): I need to go feed family.
Menelvagor Valar (0:27:58): The first message I can find on the forums is dated on sept. 1st 2003 :-)

VardaValar1 (0:28:12): If there's more chat here, please feel free to mail me the transcript!
karakedi25 (0:28:46): no, if we're done, I'll be logging out, but thanks for a nice quick and varied meeting
VardaValar1 (0:28:57): A pleasure!
Menelvagor Valar (0:29:14): Namarie Varda :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:29:19): It was great to be here :-)
karakedi25 (0:29:22): and hope we'll see you in lotro menel
Menelvagor Valar (0:29:29): Kinda makes me happy I didn't go to Scotland :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:29:54): Yeah, I'm getting the itchies if I think about the possibilities :-)
VardaValar1 (0:29:56): You just get better!
VardaValar1 (0:30:04): Like to drop into LotRO with Indis for a bit?
Menelvagor Valar (0:30:17): almost over now, aside from a coughing and / or sneezing fit now and then :-)
VardaValar1 (0:30:24): Wish I could come too, other obligations for right now, but later after you're sound asleep, maybe. heh
Menelvagor Valar (0:30:47): It's summer holday, so my biological clocks is set to EST... mostly.
karakedi25 (0:31:02): would be great to have you join us :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:31:08): Yesterday... or rather today, I went to sleep at 11 AM (7AM EST)
Menelvagor Valar (0:31:25): It's lonely at the bottom though.
VardaValar1 (0:31:29): Drag him in by the heels, Indis.
VardaValar1 (0:31:40): How far at the bottom? I'll bet I have some down in there.
Menelvagor Valar (0:31:54): Uhm... between 10 and 23 I think.
VardaValar1 (0:32:03): I have 12 characters, and some right in there. :-)
karakedi25 (0:32:23): my 42 could help out; she's the lowest I have atm
Menelvagor Valar (0:32:31): Well, I am a bit of a deed buff, so I run every possible quest and every possible deed before going beyond bree :-)
karakedi25 (0:32:39): *nod*
VardaValar1 (0:32:51): Are you on AIM a lot, Menel? Maybe I could catch you on sometime and run my lowbies with you.
karakedi25 (0:32:52): Mereniel can help with quests if you want
Menelvagor Valar (0:32:56): While it's cool to have help, it doesn't appeal to me much :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:33:09): takes away from the accomplishment if you know what I mean.
VardaValar1 (0:33:10): Chattage she can give you - very good about reading!
Menelvagor Valar (0:33:33): Well, I am about to embark on an epic voyage of news archive browsing :-)
VardaValar1 (0:33:47): The Melkorrim tend to talk in fellowship, so they may not read - but if you IM, they will catch the ding.
Menelvagor Valar (0:33:57): righto :-)
VardaValar1 (0:33:59): You have an idea of the date
VardaValar1 (0:34:12): That should narrow it down, as they are by the year in one batch.
Menelvagor Valar (0:34:14): well, there may be lots more interesting things to read!
VardaValar1 (0:34:17): hehehe
VardaValar1 (0:34:27): Ok, take care! Maybe after you read.
Menelvagor Valar (0:34:38): Perhaps, but I'll keep it in mind :-)
VardaValar1 (0:34:43): :-)
VardaValar1 (0:35:02): I very much want to run my Rune-keeper, under 30 at least.
VardaValar1 (0:36:51): Namarie for now!
Menelvagor Valar (0:36:57): Namarie Varda!
Menelvagor Valar (0:37:03): Say hello to everyone for me? :-)
VardaValar1 (0:37:08): I will!
Menelvagor Valar (0:37:15): And give Sauron an especially evil hug? :-)
VardaValar1 (0:37:18): They are tickled when they hear that you were at a meeting. : )
VardaValar1 (0:37:19): lol
Menelvagor Valar (0:37:42): I know he loves his evilness ^^
VardaValar1 (0:38:02): He is another white knight, but the roleplay amuses him. : )
Menelvagor Valar (0:38:11): I know :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:38:31): I love him all the more for it :-)
VardaValar1 (0:38:31): Namarie for real folks. Go have fun! : )
karakedi25 (0:38:43): Namarie V
VardaValar1 (0:38:55) has left the room.
karakedi25 (0:39:26): Menel, if you want to come into lotro, I'll be glad to chatter with you :-)
Menelvagor Valar (0:45:16): I'll take it into consideration :-)
karakedi25 (0:45:58): ok I"m going to log out. Nice seeing you here.
karakedi25 (0:46:01): Namarie!
karakedi25 (0:46:10) has left the room.
