Fladrifv has entered the room.
Fladrifv: aiya
ArPharazonV: Aiya
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Heya
ArPharazonV: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: Guess we're it tonight. We'll begin shortly.
ArPharazonV: been wiping in Ulduar a bit this evening
ArPharazonV: few times on Ignis, then we turned around and wiped a bit on Razorscale
ArPharazonV: 's a fun instance though!
Eonwe Valar: Glad to hear it.
Eonwe Valar: Ok, let's go ahead and begin.
Eonwe Valar: This ought to be fairly quick.

Eonwe Valar: Elen Sila Lumenn Omentielvo!
Eonwe Valar: Membership:
Eonwe Valar: We have two new members this week in LotRO:IMrahil and Gildor.
Eonwe Valar: Unfortunately, they're not here to give their few words, but you can read a little about them on the News page.
Eonwe Valar: I'm guessing there's no other Member news?
ArPharazonV: well, just came out of exam week
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: and the next period is going to be a lot more free time for me
VardaValar1: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: Cool. Hope you did well on your exams.
ArPharazonV: so that's news, I guess :-) maybe this is the chance to finally get cracking on project Second Age
Eonwe Valar: Heya Varda. We're in Member news.
ArPharazonV: *nod* it went fairly well
Eonwe Valar: Cool :}
ArPharazonV: and Aiya Varda
Eonwe Valar: Do you have any other Member News, Varda?
VardaValar1: Hails from Elwing who is visiting our house (just finished a movie),
VardaValar1: and from Fangorn, Eowyn, Sauron, and Bilbo.
Eonwe Valar: Heya to them.
VardaValar1: You mentioned Gildor and Imrahil already, as I understand. That's all I have.
Eonwe Valar: Ok
VardaValar1: oh
Eonwe Valar: Yes?
VardaValar1: Brand is back - has been away for some time. Plays a little LotRO again.
Eonwe Valar: Welcoem back to Brand.
VardaValar1: :-)
Eonwe Valar: *Welcome

Eonwe Valar: Web News:
Eonwe Valar: Go ahead, Varda.
VardaValar1: On the Story site, we have a new tale from Jay of Lasgalen
VardaValar1: "Primary Sources"
VardaValar1: http://valarguild.org/varda/Tolkien/encyc/fiction/authorsT/JayofLasgalen/stories/drabbles2/PrimarySources.htm
VardaValar1: I'm trying to catch up on the story backlog for her and apologize to her.
VardaValar1: No other folk have sent in finished work, so she's the only one. Huzzah for Jay!
Eonwe Valar: :}
VardaValar1: Done.
Eonwe Valar: I'm of course still working on setting up stuff in new and fun ways on the new server.
Eonwe Valar: *Stuff for the Games Page.
top

Eonwe Valar: Gaming:
Eonwe Valar: WoW:
Eonwe Valar: 3.1 patch came out this week, and there were a few problems and extra downtime, so Blizzard compensated us.
Eonwe Valar: Among the new stuff is the Argent Tournament, which is fairly fun and is a new way to get rep with the Alliance factions.
ArPharazonV: the Tournament comes with a lot of new mounts too :-)
ArPharazonV: quite a few new goals to strive for
Eonwe Valar: The quests to fetch "A Worthy Blade" are interesting, and reminds me of some old legends/fairy tales, as one has you kissing frogs looking for a princess, 2 have you going to the middle of a lake.
Fladrifv: we can always call for the mighty Darkpoof
ArPharazonV: I think I've only seen 2 so far, we haven't seen the third on Argent Dawn server yet
ArPharazonV: just the one with the fire-lord and the lake in the north of the Fjord
ArPharazonV: and the one with the frog-kissing
ArPharazonV: and I've done all the Tournament-dailies so far, so I think we just haven't seen it yet :-)
Eonwe Valar: There's one where you pick flowers as an offering then swim out into a lake on the border of the Dragonblight.
ArPharazonV: ohh, yes, we *did* do that once
ArPharazonV: fair enough
ArPharazonV: beautiful lady in a lake, didn't expect it to be a troll *grin*
Eonwe Valar: I'm reminded of the "Lady in the Lake" by that one :}
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Eonwe Valar: Trying to decide which one exactly the one frozen in ice reminds me of.
Eonwe Valar: Moving on, we also have new fishing dailies, and fishing has been revamped.
Eonwe Valar: And they introduced somethign that actually encouraged me to get my fishing up: a turtle mount :}
ArPharazonV: hehe
Eonwe Valar: No, I'm afraid I've had no luck yet :}
ArPharazonV: didn't they already bring in a turtle mount from the cards yet?
ArPharazonV: well, I'll spend my time fishing for the Dark Herring at some point, hope I get the turtle too
Eonwe Valar: From the cards yes, but I didn't want to spent real money just so I could have a fake turtle mount :}
Eonwe Valar: If I'm going to spend real money, it better be a real turtle :}
ArPharazonV: haha
Eonwe Valar: That'd be the only reason I'd have bought the Warcraft cards if I bought them. I've no interest in playing the card game :}
Eonwe Valar: So, not a good enough urge to buy them :}
VardaValar1: Helps if there were people to play with.
ArPharazonV: could be something for Fladrif, a Magic: the Gathering, WoW style :-)
Eonwe Valar: Hehe
Fladrifv: it is already there
Fladrifv: warcraft card game
Eonwe Valar: Aye :}
ArPharazonV: *nod*
Fladrifv: but it has a survival rate over years of zero
Eonwe Valar: There's other stuff in the new patch as well, including Ulduar of course :}
Eonwe Valar: And watch the cinematic if you get a chance.
ArPharazonV: cinematic?
Eonwe Valar: Yes, on the 3.1 page. One second, I'll get a link.
Eonwe Valar: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p1/index.xml#ulduartrailer
ArPharazonV: interesting!
Eonwe Valar: Oh, I should probably not let the dual talent spec for 1k gold not be mentioned.
Eonwe Valar: So, there you go :}
Fladrifv: its a pitty to be 1k gold...
Fladrifv: now its only in reach for farmers
Eonwe Valar: Not really. 1k isn't *that* hard to get.
ArPharazonV: neh, 1k's easy enough when you approach/are lvl 80
Fladrifv: (meggot?)
VardaValar1: That map they show looks a lot like the one we use in LotRO.
ArPharazonV: try the 13000 gold I'm farming just to get that darn chopper... now that's a lot :P
Eonwe Valar: I'm working on 19k gold for the tundram mammoth with the 3 vendors :}
Eonwe Valar: *tundra
ArPharazonV: 19k?
Eonwe Valar: I'm 9k towards my goal :}
ArPharazonV: isn't that 16k at exalted?
Eonwe Valar: Yeah, think it's cheaper with some Kirin Tor rep, but last I looked for me it was 19k.
Eonwe Valar: No guarantee I'll be exalted with Kirin Tor when I buy it.
ArPharazonV: you might want to get Kirin Tor reputation through heroic instances then, it saves 3000
Eonwe Valar: If I have time for instances :}
ArPharazonV: you in a rush, then, are you? :-)
Eonwe Valar: Or find a group when I do have time :} Seems every time someone asks me if I want to run a dungeon with them, they want me to heal or tank, and I'm Ret :}
ArPharazonV: hmm, nice cinematic
ArPharazonV: always been a fan of Brann
VardaValar1: With the respec we just had, you could try one of the other types if you wanted.
ArPharazonV: hehe, indeed... better to waste 1k than 3k, no?
Eonwe Valar: I enjoy Ret, and I've got a Dwarf Prot Paladin, which brings me to...
Eonwe Valar: Lothar: Been enjoying the tournament and doing the dailies... daily :}
Eonwe Valar: Got my Balance Druid to 50, my Holy Priest to 69, and my Prot Paladin/Scribe to 70.
Fladrifv: dailys? sleeping eating...
Eonwe Valar: Fangorn and Sauron have also been on and working together, on Lothar and Uldaman :}
VardaValar1: Also Elwing
VardaValar1: The three are on right now.
VardaValar1: Eowyn has been in a bit too
Eonwe Valar: Cool :}
VardaValar1: On Uldaman server, atm.
Eonwe Valar: Uldaman: see above :}
VardaValar1: hehe - double duty report
Eonwe Valar: Aye :}
Eonwe Valar: Fladrif, I understand you have some WoW news? [Argent Dawn server]
Fladrifv: aye I do
Eonwe Valar: Go ahead.
Fladrifv: actually I joined up wow for 10 days
Fladrifv: to try the latest and greatest within the world
Fladrifv: so I have been decieved by the linch king and returned to the light again
Fladrifv: and teamed up with another dk, controled by arphar
ArPharazonV: *nod*
Fladrifv: I really liked the dk intro levels
Fladrifv: with moving content
Fladrifv: but it kind of wrecks the team play. also all the quests where so easy it was no need to team up
Eonwe Valar: That guarantees when the numbers of new death knights are lower, new death knights can still get through.
Eonwe Valar: It is only a starting area, after all :}
ArPharazonV: indeed :-) Elwynn was soloable too ;-)
ArPharazonV: well, except for Hogger perhaps *grin*
Eonwe Valar: Well, except for Hogger, by all reports and jokes :}
Fladrifv: *grin*
Eonwe Valar: heh :}
Fladrifv: it feels good to be back in wow
Fladrifv: and also same boredom comes up again
Fladrifv: and = but
ArPharazonV: eh, it was nice, alting again for a bit, gaining experience, hunting down orcs in Hellfire Peninsula
Fladrifv: aye
ArPharazonV: was a bit tricky getting the hang of DK controls again, though
Fladrifv: for me its still cast everything that is ready :-)
Eonwe Valar: :}
Fladrifv: dk is overpowered if you ask me
Eonwe Valar: They just got done nerfing Death KNights in some respects :}
ArPharazonV: they are quite versatile, that's true... we can pull people towards us, kill them, raise minions, and even heal ourselves to a measure
VardaValar1: Hello from side windows from Luthien, Arien, and Eomer.
Fladrifv: drag them in!
Fladrifv: oh wait we can pull them in as a dk
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Fladrifv: still want to once try some enemy throwing with 10 dks
ArPharazonV: hehe
ArPharazonV: all in a big circle
Fladrifv: aye one dk in the middle
Fladrifv: catch the enemy :-)
Eonwe Valar: Ok, let's move on to LotRO News/Reports, unless you have any more to report, Fladrif :}
VardaValar1: More reports
Fladrifv: go ahead
VardaValar1: Arien
VardaValar1: AriehnV: anyway i wont distract u much longer just gonna get bs to 325 . thats two stacks fel iron more and i need the gold to buy those so the dailies at the shadow vault are quick work
VardaValar1: Also, she's off Friday. : )
VardaValar1: Moving to LotRO:
VardaValar1: Arien mentions that too:
VardaValar1: AriehnV: say hello from me to the Valarites and if u like u can add to ur gaming lotro report that i quick levelled my lotro characters on wednesday so all from 22 on the burgler to 12 on most of the others and 14 on one of them
VardaValar1: Eomer commented that LotRO yesterday was quite eventful.
VardaValar1: We had enough people for a scroll of member names, so we were very busy all over.
VardaValar1: We ran the two big instances for pre-Moria: Helegrod (24-man) and Rift (12-man) killing the dragon and the balrog respectively.
VardaValar1: Then a group of us ran middle-sized characters doing Angmar questing and class questing.
VardaValar1: Some of us ran radiance instances.
VardaValar1: Ulmo got the shoulders from the Watcher run, current top raid.
VardaValar1: This morning, Eomer reports
VardaValar1: IWF519: and today Lothiriel, Forlong and myself spent about 4 hours in the misty mountains
VardaValar1: In general LotRO news, we have a patch coming all Tuesday morning.
VardaValar1: It implements the quest tracker system, taking it out of beta.
VardaValar1: It will be on by default, but you can turn it off.
VardaValar1: "The Strange Happenings" raid is coming back, to be the new top instance raid.
VardaValar1: Crafting instances will be harder.
VardaValar1: Several changes will be made to improve server performance and stability.
VardaValar1: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Release_Notes_Volume_2_Book_7_Patch_2_Official
VardaValar1: I'll end the report here.
Eonwe Valar: Thanks for the reports :}
VardaValar1: We did soooo much more. That's a bare mention. : )
Eonwe Valar: Unfortunately I had to work this past Monday, so I didn't make it in for LotRO.
Eonwe Valar: Any other gaming news?
Eonwe Valar: Anyone play anyhting besides WoW or LotRO?
Eonwe Valar: *anything
Fladrifv: chess? :-)
Fladrifv: eh chess!
Eonwe Valar: Game of strategy :}
Eonwe Valar: Anyoen else?
Eonwe Valar: *Anyone
ArPharazonV: 'fraid not, but I'm sure something will come along sooner or later for me..
Eonwe Valar: Ok, if there is no other gamign news and no further business, we can move to Tolkien.
Eonwe Valar: *gaming, bah.
Eonwe Valar: And read the RP, even though mine and Menel's joint post is still the newest :}
top

Eonwe Valar: Tolkien:
Eonwe Valar: So, last week we discussed special days in observance in Middle-Earth. Where does that lead us for our next discussion?
VardaValar1: First off
VardaValar1: Luthien had something to mention
Eonwe Valar: ok
VardaValar1: http://img.skitch.com/20090419-cis7rs96y1r1c27btdcxnd6amc.jpg
VardaValar1: She's making a Simulation of Valinor where people can walk around inside it.
Eonwe Valar: I'm guessing that scene is the Calacirya?
ArPharazonV: it says so on the picture :-)
VardaValar1: says "from the foot of Tuna looking east through Calacirya".
VardaValar1: That's her walking around inside.
VardaValar1: luthienathariel: I am still undecided whether it should have a more "Lost Tales" character or a Silmarillion one
VardaValar1: She is willing to come in, but is very tired and says she won't have much to say.
luthienathariel has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Heya
VardaValar1: We could consider what features we might see if we went walking in Valinor.
VardaValar1: Aiya Luthien. : )
luthienathariel: Suilad, mellyn ...
Eonwe Valar: Sounds like a good topic.
VardaValar1: If we were coming in from the outside, as elves coming from Middle-earth, and coming in, what might we see?
ArPharazonV: the first we see is the shores of the Teleri
Eonwe Valar: Are we talking about pre-Elf or post-Elf?
ArPharazonV: true
VardaValar1: I'm unsure of the question, Eonwe.
VardaValar1: ahh
ArPharazonV: we're wondering whether this is before the Elves first came to Valinor, or after?
VardaValar1: After elves arrived in Valinor.
Eonwe Valar: You said 'as Elves coming from Middle-Earth" so I'm unsure if we are assuming that we are the Elves, or if the Elves are already there.
ArPharazonV: before or after the Exodus of the Noldor?
Eonwe Valar: Thanks.
VardaValar1: If we were elves coming from Middle-earth on a white boat, taking the straight path, what would we find?
ArPharazonV: not sure, did the Teleri still make boats after what happened at Alqualonde?
Eonwe Valar: Probably, but either way we would reach their havens first most likely.
VardaValar1: They had boats that they loaned unhappily for the war, after the coming of Earendil, and took them back. So they would still have some.
luthienathariel: (I see it as late in the age of the Trees)
Eonwe Valar: They live outside of the Pelori.
VardaValar1: So Luthien's sim would not have elves?
luthienathariel: (no, it has)
luthienathariel: (lol)
ArPharazonV: it's an interesting question though... when the Numenoreans came upon the shores of Valinor, did they run into Teleri?
ArPharazonV: but anyway, age of the trees, would be before the Noldor's exodus
VardaValar1: No, the elves were pulled back away from the Numenoreans. Even the city was "deserted".
VardaValar1: The Valar wished no harm to come to the elves.
ArPharazonV: allright
Eonwe Valar: The city of Tuna would be populated, and we would have Formenos in the north of Aman.
ArPharazonV: and the Teleri would still have their best boats :-)
Eonwe Valar: Whether Fëanor would let you in or not is a different question :}
VardaValar1: I wonder if the Noldor took *all* the boats, as those were burned, yet the Teleri had enough to ferry folk for the war.
luthienathariel: depends on who you are ...
ArPharazonV: I would assume the Teleri could make more, though
VardaValar1: hehe - so if you are a Noldor, no problem.
ArPharazonV: there were 600 years in Middle-Earth passed since the arrival of Feanor and the war of Wrath, or something like that
luthienathariel: yes
VardaValar1: The Teleri said their swanships were like Feanor's silmarils, not a repeatable feat. Yet they did have quite a few, so I'm not sure how that works.
ArPharazonV: they could still make boats and ships, though not as beautiful as the swanships
VardaValar1: Lesser ships, less magical perhaps.
ArPharazonV: Feanor made other jewels too, despite the silmarils being unique
VardaValar1: True. The palantiri for instance.
Eonwe Valar: Like the Two Trees. The swanships were probably concieved of together, as were the Trees and the Silmarilli.
Eonwe Valar: So having many doesn't make them less unique, so to speak.
VardaValar1: Well said.
ArPharazonV: that is also true, they may still have had a number left
VardaValar1: So, what about the havens in Valinor, Eonwe?
Eonwe Valar: Hmm?
Eonwe Valar: Well, I beleive pearls were strewn on the shore like sand, if memory of my Sil serves me.
VardaValar1: Eonwe Valar: Probably, but either way we would reach their havens first most likely.
VardaValar1: Aye, pearls in the Teleri area were on the shore, and in the shore water.
VardaValar1: Going by memory also.
Eonwe Valar: If we're coming into Aman, the havens of the Teleri would likely be our first "sight."
Eonwe Valar: That's what I was saying there. Ships or no.
ArPharazonV: does this simulation also carry persona? npcs?
VardaValar1: Got it.
VardaValar1: In that picture, you can see Luthien standing there.
ArPharazonV: yes, as playable character
ArPharazonV: but I'm talking about characters built into the simulation
Eonwe Valar: Of course, we're assuming we've already passed Tol Eressea :}
VardaValar1: Luthien, would you be adding non-player characters, like the Teleri?
ArPharazonV: coming to Formenos and seeing Feanor, coming to the Teleri shores and seeing Elves in boats
Eonwe Valar: Would be hard to miss a giant island in your way :}
VardaValar1: Inside would be a giant mountain with snow, a mansion on top, with golden-haired elves living in the nearby area.
Eonwe Valar: Aye, Taniquetil would have the tallest peak in all of Arda.
VardaValar1: Forests, Orome the hunter might be seen there.
Eonwe Valar: Aulë's smithies, and the gardens of Lorien.
ArPharazonV: the entrance to the halls of Mandos
luthienathariel: re. non playing character .. I don't know about that, because the only thing I have seen so far is a character that follows you around ... hardly what we need
VardaValar1: See some of the Maiar and Valar dancing. :-)
luthienathariel: but maybe there is
luthienathariel: have not looked into that yet
Eonwe Valar: We would see Ezellohar, where the Two Trees flourish.
Eonwe Valar: Since we're still talkging Ages of the Trees.
VardaValar1: Light effects could get pretty wild, how they told time.
VardaValar1: Light from the Trees changed.
Eonwe Valar: Giant vats of light from both trees sitting nearby to water them with.
VardaValar1: Vats of light that dripped from the trees, that looked like lakes.
VardaValar1: Used to make stars.
VardaValar1: The water Luthien added looks great!
luthienathariel: (so far, so good)
Eonwe Valar: OK, pardon,.. I just got an image of Varda holding a bubble-blower and dipping it into a vat of Tree-light, then blowing into it to make stars :}
luthienathariel: no, I did not add that
VardaValar1: Ulmo sometimes rises up like a giant wave. If he had those effects on him, it would be quite a sight.
luthienathariel: that is just part of the simulator
VardaValar1: ah ok, pardon.
VardaValar1: But you can pick where the water goes?
luthienathariel: well - water has a way of being everywhere that is lower than a certain height
luthienathariel: so if you make it a certain height, you can determine whether it is land or sea ..
VardaValar1: Neat. So you pick the height to choose where water goes.
luthienathariel: and you can of course build the landscape
luthienathariel: which I did
VardaValar1: Little white dots in the sand, maybe shiny, could be pearls along the shore?
luthienathariel: oh yes!
VardaValar1: I have no idea how any of this works or what it can be made to do.
VardaValar1: Nifty map inset.
luthienathariel: I even looked up that quote - 't is one of the most haunting ones of the Sil
Eonwe Valar: Which one?
ArPharazonV: there are so many :-)
luthienathariel: Many jewels the Noldor gave them, opals and diamonds and pale crystals, which they strewed upon the shores and scattered in the pools; marvellous were the beaches of Elende in those days.
Eonwe Valar: Ah. Thanks.
VardaValar1: That is a beauty.
luthienathariel: yes, those jewels are very doable
luthienathariel: you can create any geometric shape of any colour, and have them give light if you want
luthienathariel: not sure if there is a limit on the number, if they also give off light
VardaValar1: Imagination can run wild. : )
VardaValar1: Can they be simply reflective surfaces for most?
luthienathariel: yes, that is so ..
luthienathariel: sure, that too
VardaValar1: One with light could reflect off others maybe.
luthienathariel: I would think so
Eonwe Valar: Any places of the Valar we're missing?
VardaValar1: Surely so. : )
Eonwe Valar: Well, if you go with the Lost Tales feel, you would have to have Makar's and Meassa's halls.
Eonwe Valar: Tulkas might be there sometimes, winning all the tourneys :}
ArPharazonV: and Nienna's halls (or whatever her name was in the LT) on the westcoast, my memories vaguely tell me?
Eonwe Valar: Her's were part of Mandos if I recall.
ArPharazonV: in LT too?
luthienathariel: yes
Eonwe Valar: Halls of Fui in Lost Tales, where men went.
luthienathariel: but it will not be that big
luthienathariel: I do not have the capacity for that ...
Eonwe Valar: men = Mankind
VardaValar1: Birds were important to Manwe, all sorts, likely quite a few around Taniquetil.
ArPharazonV: that's ok :-) Men weren't born at the time
ArPharazonV: and Elves were never great in number and never stayed in the halls permanently
luthienathariel: this server will run an area that will hold this map
ArPharazonV: so they would not have to be large ;-)
Eonwe Valar: So we're not talking a WoW expansion then :}
luthienathariel: not yet ..
VardaValar1: Too bad, Eonwe. ;-)
luthienathariel: I am running it on my desktop
luthienathariel: so maybe if we would put it on a hosted server or something, yes, then there is no limit
Eonwe Valar: Aye, too bad. Those old gods would have nothing on Tulkas :}
luthienathariel: http://img.skitch.com/20090419-8fmdctuc5sq9gr6ye7me52hrec.jpg
ArPharazonV: hmm... Morgoth vs the Lich King...
luthienathariel: so that just includes Valmar and the Trees on the far left of that map
luthienathariel: they are not in there but that is because I needed it for the outlines only
Eonwe Valar: Witch-King vs Lich King :}
Eonwe Valar: ok
ArPharazonV: pah, Witch-King wouldn't stand a chance, Arthas'd just send a female Valkyr
VardaValar1: Este has an island where she sleeps in the daytime.
VardaValar1: lol Phar
luthienathariel: Arthas?
ArPharazonV: aye, but wasn't that in the gardens of Lorien?
luthienathariel: yes
luthienathariel: it is
luthienathariel: 't is off the map, alas ..
ArPharazonV: yeah, Lich King, WoW, just ignore it
luthienathariel: oh
luthienathariel: ok
VardaValar1: Yes, the island is in the lake of Lorellin.
VardaValar1: Uinen's hair is spread through all waters under the sky.
Eonwe Valar: aka, seaweed :}
ArPharazonV: heh
ArPharazonV: never looked at it that way
VardaValar1: :-)
VardaValar1: Looking at a fast-moving clear creek seeing the long, thick green strands, it could be imagined to be hair.
Eonwe Valar: Aye.
ArPharazonV: so... if you follow it in the right direction...
ArPharazonV: you'll get to Uinen?
VardaValar1: My own long hair twists and turns many directions in water, so that's a good question.
Eonwe Valar: Eventually, perhaps, if you survive long enough :}
Eonwe Valar: You might end up drowning in her hair :}
VardaValar1: AriehnV: namarie :-)
ArPharazonV: not a good way to die
ArPharazonV: namarie Arien!
ArPharazonV: hmm, too late
Eonwe Valar: And it'd only get more trreacherous the closer you got.
VardaValar1: She was side-windowing. Mostly farming in WoW.
Eonwe Valar: Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is 7:04 VST. Shall we bang the gavel here?
VardaValar1: Aye. Let's let Europe sleep. : )
luthienathariel: ah *zzzz*
VardaValar1: There went one!
Eonwe Valar: *Raises gavel high into the air*
VardaValar1: *steps back*
Eonwe Valar: *Brings gavel crashing down*
Eonwe Valar: There went the Lich King :}

Eonwe Valar: Aftermeeting :}
VardaValar1: *brings blotter*
VardaValar1: Going to show that cinematic to Fangorn now.
Eonwe Valar: And remember to read more Tolkien :}
VardaValar1: yay!
luthienathariel: impossible
Eonwe Valar: All of you, not just Varda :}
ArPharazonV: :-)
Eonwe Valar: Rereading counts as reading more :}
Eonwe Valar: As long as it's entire books and not just sections, then it's research and you should be writing an article on it :}
luthienathariel: ah ok, then I'm good
ArPharazonV: how about reading entire books for more generally topicced research? :-)
Eonwe Valar: Hmm,.. I guess reading generally can be allowed :}
VardaValar1: lol Eonwe
VardaValar1: ok, Fangorn and I saw the cinematic, good one.
VardaValar1: He suggests a gnome mage (Merry-V) pop up at the end and say in a high voice, "Me, me!"
Eonwe Valar: Aye, gives a "more to come" feeling, as opposed to a "this is all you get" kind of feeling some of the other cinematics give.
Eonwe Valar: hehe :}
VardaValar1: Kind of tough since Merry-V has kind of a deep voice.
Eonwe Valar: That's what Helium is for :}
VardaValar1: lol
VardaValar1: Will do!
VardaValar1: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p1/index.xml#ulduartrailer
VardaValar1: Namarie, folks!
Eonwe Valar: Take care :}

luthienathariel: :-)
Fladrifv: everyone awake?
Eonwe Valar: I'm awake :}
ArPharazonV: I'm here
Fladrifv: arphar?
Fladrifv: that suprises me a bit
ArPharazonV: hm? why? I always save and send before I leave, and make notes of it, and I never leave the pc (and the meeting) on before going to bed
ArPharazonV: I'm just browsing the web a bit, haven't checked my webcomics etc in 3 days or so ;-)
luthienathariel: ah
luthienathariel: I'm building some things in that sim now ..
Eonwe Valar: I'm looking at code, more or less :}
Fladrifv: how is the simming going luth?
Fladrifv: is it easy to code?
luthienathariel: oh I don't code on that thing
luthienathariel: just use the standard opensimulator build
luthienathariel: I don't know the language anyhow, it is made in dotnet
Fladrifv: ok but model the envoiriment
luthienathariel: yes
Fladrifv: is it prims based?
luthienathariel: and getting it working is rather a visitation
luthienathariel: yes
luthienathariel: especially the networking part
Fladrifv: wasn't there one opensim build with poly support?
luthienathariel: oh that is possible, why?
Fladrifv: just wondering, will give more flexibility then prims
Fladrifv: hmmz anyway, namarie all tomorrow is an early day
luthienathariel: oh that'd be nice
luthienathariel: same here
ArPharazonV: namarie :-)
luthienathariel: namarie / novaer :-)
luthienathariel has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: Take care :}
Fladrifv: and for all the ones interested in dutch bad driving http://www.sbs6.nl/web/show/id=125661/langid=43/media=68628/page=1
Fladrifv has left the room.
ArPharazonV: hmm, watching the new Starcraft II battle report at the moment
ArPharazonV: excellent graphics, nice gameplay.. really motivates me to do some RTSing :-)
Eonwe Valar: :}
ArPharazonV: well, I should be going soon, I suppose
Eonwe Valar: Ok.
ArPharazonV: can link the starcraft battle report if you want
Eonwe Valar: Sure.
Eonwe Valar: haven't looked into SC2 for a while. Should get a bit of an update.
ArPharazonV: it can be viewed from the site, but downloaded is much better quality IMO
ArPharazonV: http://eu.starcraft2.com/features/battlereports/2.xml
Eonwe Valar: Thanks.
ArPharazonV: hmm, maybe I should listen to some Blizzcasts, I'm like 4 behind or so
Eonwe Valar: I usually just read the transcript. It's faster for me.
