ArPharazonV: haven't even set foot in Outland yet, but I've raised a
lvl 21 shammy, explored the bloodelf and draenei starting zones with my
lvl 60, and am now currently questing in the second draenei zone with
that lvl 60

addiction. The ones who can't are called Wretched and need to be put

spell with my car

eight , blasted Highland council

live in the country

country , in the heather

thought it might be badly damaged underneath but i have to find out

of the Rings Online is sending out a new wave of invitations for
Beta 2.

ArPharazonV: still have about 50gigabyte of my 200 left, so I was fine,
luckily...

is one of the servers that Blizzard is saying it is considering
splitting because it has too much traffic.
VardaValar1: With Burning Crusades, it will have a spike of many more.
VardaValar1: Blizzard is offering free character transfers to another
server at this time.
VardaValar1: It is very difficult for any guild to coordinate a mass
jump.
ArPharazonV: Argent Dawn seemed to be one of the most overcrowded
servers in Europe as well, but hasn't been mentioned as a considered
splitter... so with luck we'll be ok
VardaValar1: The minute, for instance, that Eonwe jumped, the guild
would be disbanded.
VardaValar1: So we would need at least ten people to be ready at the
same time to make a jump to a new server if were going to do it.
ArPharazonV: aren't there regulations for that, though? that you can
join with your entire guild? or if you would not choose that you
automatically end up with your guildleader?
VardaValar1: We would need to pick a server ahead of time.
VardaValar1: I have seen no helpful information from Blizzard yet.
ArPharazonV: or are you thinking about jumping *before* the split?

just sit tight and not do a pre-jump. But that's not many people.
VardaValar1: Right now, we have many more than two to choose from.
ArPharazonV: if you choose something, all your characters will go there
ArPharazonV: if you don't, each character ends up with the guildleader
of the guild he goes to
ArPharazonV: *he's in, sorry
VardaValar1: Character transfer is not an account transfer.
VardaValar1: Right. So we may find our characters split all over the
place.

FinduilasV: Finduilasse went with Aeremehtar , Valandile's young rogue
(well he is lvl 40 ) to Angor Fortress so he could practise lockpicking
FinduilasV: we had some fun at the gate and of course the elite with
his adds was a bit hairy but thanks to Findu's lay on hands he could
safe the behind of this suicidal rogue
FinduilasV: We had to stop because my stomach grumbled but Aeremehtar
got his skill up to 200 and was happy enough
FinduilasV: and he got some good gear.
FinduilasV: So that went fairly well :-)
VardaValar1: Sometimes people eat at the comp. hehe
FinduilasV: ah and Calaron gave guidance to Draeneivrin this afternoon
VardaValar1: Those names mean nothing to us. You might add the primary

Eonwe Valar: Sure
Eonwe Valar: Questers: Eonw�, Dracxil/Beline, Varda, Sauron, Arwen
Eonwe Valar: Targets: Razelikh, Araj.
Eonwe Valar: Our first task was to defeat the demon Razelikh. He put up
quite the fight, knocking people off the edge as it looked like we were
getting close to winning.
Eonwe Valar: Unfortunately for him, this didn't work the final time,
and when he came back up from chasing Arwen down the hill, we blasted
him away.
Eonwe Valar: The Fallen Hero of the Horde was quite pleased with the
news.
Eonwe Valar: After that, we flew to Chillwind Point in the Western
Plaguelands and rode to Andorhal to deal with Araj once again.
Eonwe Valar: We were short Beline at this point, but decided to do it
anyway.
Eonwe Valar: During what appeared to be a bad pull, we managed to get
the skeletons elsewhere long enough to take out Araj and give Arwen the
chance to collect that which she needed.
Eonwe Valar: After that, we called it a night.
Eonwe Valar: And that concludes the Lothar Report.
Eonwe Valar: Btw, there is a board for the Argent Dawn reports if you'd
like to start putting them up on the Forum, Finduilas, as was announced
earlier in the meeting.

VardaValar1: It always struck me as odd that Melian stopped Thingol. It
seemed to be an accident.
VardaValar1: It suggests that Maiar were all around, as it wasn't a
plot to stop the Elves from entering Valinor.
VardaValar1: We know Uinen was in all the shallows, her hair spread
into them along the Sea's edge.
VardaValar1: Tom and Goldberry sound like very high level Maiar, of the
type that were said to be nearly Vala level themselves.
VardaValar1: That kind came to help a Vala of their inclination, rather
than really wanting to run major projects themselves.
VardaValar1: There's some question whether Eagles include Maiar, but
they did work with Manwe as extra eyes.

VardaValar1: Of course we had the Istari, although lacking parts of
their memory and powers.

presence than we might have thought.
VardaValar1: That could have been part of why the Fellowship all showed
up right on time.
VardaValar1: That's a lot of details to handle.

VardaValar1: A Vala could say, we need that guy over there. Then the
Maiar try to work the situations to bring the fellow in.
VardaValar1: Phar, bring in Boromir!
VardaValar1: Being silly again, pardon.
VardaValar1: Anyway, you can see that the Vala could have asked for
Faramir.
VardaValar1: Visions came from Irmo, but Olorin/Gandalf could do them
too.
VardaValar1: So that suggests other Maiar might also.
VardaValar1: So when they couldn't get Faramir, they went after his
brother.
VardaValar1: He may have gotten one vision at least, assuming he told
the truth or wasn't dreaming normally after Faramir told about his
visions several times.
VardaValar1: For each of the Fellowship, there were many obstacles.
VardaValar1: To overcome all of those and handle the distance so all
arrived at the same time took a lot of coordination.
VardaValar1: A lot of pocket watches on rabbits. ;-)
GwaihirValar: Not to mention a lot of manufactured traveling delays for
those trying to get there early ;-)
VardaValar1: That is pretty much what I wanted to say on that topic,
been in my mind a while.
VardaValar1: True, Gwaihir!
VardaValar1: The oliphaunt shoves a lot of rock in the pass, so the
target has to go around. : )
FinduilasV: obstacles like sam's shortcut to Mushrooms, the fog on the
Barrowwrights and the theft of the horses in Bree?

VardaValar1: And Boromir's loss of a horse.
VardaValar1: Gloin may have had all sorts of politics and projects
going.
FinduilasV: Legolas had no delays , didn't he?
VardaValar1: I'd like to know why he brought his son. Has to be a story
in that!

VardaValar1: As usual, Tolkien told us nothing about Legolas.
Sarujil: we know why he was there, thats all
VardaValar1: He must've looked very different from the other Elves, and
he was the only one like that, so he must have come alone.
ArPharazonV: one would think that the one with the least delays would
be the timer the Maiar used to get the rest of the group there ;-)
VardaValar1: Why Boromir or Legolas came without an escort is beyond me.
GwaihirValar: The Elves' doings have generally been left a secret
unless they directly impact the situation at hand...
VardaValar1: True. So who would have the least number of delays?
FinduilasV: They were both heirs of their father, eh?
VardaValar1: Gloin and Gimli maybe?
VardaValar1: Right, Fin.
VardaValar1: Maybe the fathers were trying to discourage them.
GwaihirValar: Probably Legolas, honestly. Elves are faster at travel
than dwarves, and Legolas was slightly closer than anyone else save
possibly the hobbits
VardaValar1: Or punish them.
VardaValar1: Denethor didn't want Boromir to go.
VardaValar1: Legolas appears to have been involved in the group that
lost Gollum during a two-pronged attack.
VardaValar1: You're probably right, Gwaihir.
VardaValar1: The hobbits were the most important, so they were supposed
to be helped by Gandalf with Aragorn as backup.
ArPharazonV: if Faramir got the dreams, would that mean the Ainur
intended for him to go?
ArPharazonV: which means Denethor managed to go directly against their
will?
VardaValar1: I believe he was, Pharazon.
VardaValar1: The Valar believe in free choice.
ArPharazonV: true
VardaValar1: So they did a workaround. : )
Sarujil: who knows how the quest would have played out if Faramir had
been in the fellowship instead of his brother
ArPharazonV: but normally they seem quite adept at... manipulation, in
these cases
GwaihirValar: He was intended to be a part of it, anyways...
VardaValar1: Workarounds are good.
GwaihirValar: perhaps not the fellowship, but he was obviously intended
to play an important role

Sarujil: well, you gotta figure that if faramir had gone to rivendell,
he would have been placed in the fellowship for the same reason as
boromir
VardaValar1: But Faramir would have helped Frodo make the decision to
go peacefully and by logic.
VardaValar1: Maybe the hobbits would have had more than Sam's one rope.

VardaValar1: How the Maiar affected Arda, as they seem to have had much
more of a presence than we could see.
