with the breaking of Dol Guildur being put in as part of the actual
story.

VardaValar1: Didn't know Thranduil had a son yet or who, and that Bilbo probably met Aragorn at Rivendell as a ten-year old.
VardaValar1: That would give a battle that might make the Five Armies more anti-climatic if they aren't careful.

those as easter eggs or something, little bits of reference to the

Eonwe Valar: Anybody do anything besides WoW and LotRO this week?
VardaValar1: Sauron put Rome Total War back on his gaming.
VardaValar1: We've been repairing our second gaming comp slowly
Eonwe Valar: Cool. Should I add that to the Games Page?
ArPharazonV: some Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna; and also I've been starting play Populous: The Beginning again
ArPharazonV: not a lot, but I did, so...
Melkorv: I've been curious as to why we haven't seen more of our membership in LotRO? Seems a natural for our guild.
Eonwe Valar: I have the lifetime membership :} But I don't have cable,
so if I show up it's usually pretty late where I won't be lagged to
oblivion.
VardaValar1: Also true for Elwing who is on dial-up.
Eonwe Valar: Plus, I'm in WoW, maintaining a presence of sorts for us there.
VardaValar1: I agree Melkor, expected more over there.
Eonwe Valar: Our European members can't easily get with us in either WoW or LotRO.
VardaValar1: Some have come in and tried it for a short time, then backed out
Melkorv: understood :-) I dropped my DAoC accounts and have been having a ball back with Valar Guild folks.
Eonwe Valar: Glad to hear it Melkor.
VardaValar1: Irmo and Miriel of Europe have been a major presence in LotRO.
VardaValar1: Melkor is fun as always! : )
Eonwe Valar: Well, since we're already talking about LotRO, let's open up with LotRO.
Eonwe Valar: Anything to report from the LotRO gaming front?
Melkorv: of course it is still developing but all in all they have moved it along at a reasonable pace.
VardaValar1: Orome suggested Monday as our special LotRO day, but it
seems that is the day where I am usually not able to come on, so it
never really took off.
VardaValar1: Aye, lots of new updates and fun all the time, improvements.
VardaValar1: They have frequent Dev chats for any who want to come.
VardaValar1: They have bug reportability, and forums for suggestions.
VardaValar1: and even read and act on them
VardaValar1: Maedhros, any LotRO comments?
Melkorv: ...and excellent response times on bug reports when they effect game play.
RumblePurrLion: Well, I don't have a lot of MMO experience to compare
it to, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I've been very impressed with
their efforts to stick to the lore, and include "easter eggs" for
Tolkien geeks. :-)
RumblePurrLion: e.g., the Gramsfoot goblins in the Shire, based on a passing reference to Bullroarer Took's adventures.

RumblePurrLion: The Yule quest, with Gaffer Gamgee showing up Lobelia
Sackville-Baggins, was a fun little bit of bonus material. :-)

Melkorv: ..and I got a nice yule tree, grin
VardaValar1: We had to get a petition together to stop her [Lobelia npc] from running the Yule party. And were saved at the last minute. ;-)

VardaValar1: We also are trying to collect enough trees, one per
member, to plant a forest of them for Yule in front of the Kinhouse. : )
VardaValar1: They go well with our Dwarf area there.

RumblePurrLion: It's just trees put into the yard "slots" ... eventually statues and such will go back out there.
VardaValar1: We keep a change of deco in our kin storage chests

I'm afraid by the time I got home Friday night, I just wanted to go to
bed, so I have no report, though it looked like a couple of people had

Eonwe Valar: They are of course doing the Greatfather Winter stuff now.
Unfortunately, the only new thing they have is a recipe sent to people
lvl 65 and above.
Eonwe Valar: Hot Spiced Cider I believe it was.
ArPharazonV: I haven't had any recipe yet... made a ticket with some
other people, and got a response that they're looking into problems
with the tickets

Eonwe Valar: It's a cartoon, a movie, and a book, the first two based on a CHildren's book by Dr. Suess.

course, it helps that the cartoon can be short and still be watched :}
Eonwe Valar: The cartoon is the classic, the movie is amusing but was created within the last few years.

Eonwe Valar: Jim Carrey as the Grinch if you happen to be a fan of his work, and probably worth a watch even if you're not.

Sylvanaar in Blades edge mountain when she stumbled across a certain

AriehnV: stole ogre beer and planted some banners
AriehnV: Morning was a bit in a hurry as usual , so we had to end our cooperation and thus endeth my official report

Lothlorien with a party from Rivendell, but they were waylaid by Orcs,
the first group to make a real attack so it was unexpected.
