AuSteinM: Aiya
ArPharazonV: I'll be right there, just going to the inn
FladrifV: sleepy already?
VardaValar1: That from a sleepy ent. : )
AuSteinM: You're staying at the inn? I'm sure somebody local would be glad to let you stay with them
Oessala has entered the room.
Orodreth V has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: no, but better than waking up tomorrow amid 5 respawns :-)
VardaValar1: Aiya Orodreth : )
VardaValar1: I came back in a wolves den yesterday. Talk about adrenaline : )
Arwen V1: teehee, I have to restart my comp because I just finished installing wow =)
VardaValar1: Wonderful, Arwen!
VardaValar1: See you back soon, we hope!
Arwen V1: and my computer seems to be working well this time!
Arwen V1: so brb!
VardaValar1: woot!
Arwen V1 has left the room.
AuSteinM: ...for now ;-)
VardaValar1: Trying to unjinx her, AuStein? ;-)
AuSteinM: If only there were such a cure
Sarujil has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Hold your mouth right is what my in-laws tell me. Great folk. : )
ArPharazonV: 71 minion's scourgestones away from my chromatic mantle of the dawn! then I'll never have to bother with those silly stones again
VardaValar1: Good luck!
FladrifV: next patch, next patch *grin*
ArPharazonV: :-)
VardaValar1: Next alt
FladrifV: both!
ArPharazonV: next alt is more likely, yeah...
Eonwe Valar: Until lvl 70 when you get better gear :}
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Expansion threatens, er, is coming.
ArathornValar has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Of course at that point you'll be able to farm for Invader's Scourgestones as easily as you do Minion's scourgestone now :}
ArPharazonV: hehe
FladrifV: the day that I have my alt at 60...bam expansion...
VardaValar1: Aiya Arathorn, well-timed. Just about to start
Eonwe Valar: It's crazily at $70 for the Collector's Edition though.
VardaValar1: Too right, Fladrif
ArathornValar: was helping Grym on our Horde server
VardaValar1: Tell him to come in too. ; )
ArathornValar: he had to go not feeling well
VardaValar1: aww, sorry to hear that
VardaValar1: Only saw him a few minutes in WoW before, couldn't chat
VardaValar1: We'll catch him some time when he feels better
VardaValar1: Ok, folks. Please help me watch for others coming in
VardaValar1: Many don't know how to enter the room
ArathornValar: I usually use a window to enter a room, but thats just me :-P
VardaValar1: For those reading the transcript, invite your name, type in the name of the chat room at the bottom where they default all those numbers as a name.
AuSteinM: Who needs doors when you can come in through the drop ceiling?
VardaValar1: That's a good way, thanks Arathorn.
VardaValar1: Right, AuStein!
Arwen V1 has entered the room.
ArathornValar: or the skylight
VardaValar1: Arwen, all installed now? : )
VardaValar1: I just come in on a beam of light. If none, I'll make one. Photons are good things.
Arwen V1: yes, just have to run the patches =P
FladrifV: 3 days later...
VardaValar1: That should give you time to finish the meeting. : )
AuSteinM: Oooh, I'm not so fond of skylights...a friend entered a building through one accidentally last year and had quite the stay in the hospital
VardaValar1: Glad he survived
AuSteinM: This is true
VardaValar1: I happily missed going through one. Bet he'll be very careful of them now. Good luck on his recovery.

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo!
VardaValar1: Membership News:
VardaValar1: I'm very happy to report that we have a new Full Member!
VardaValar1: Her name is Dis-(V), after the only dwarf lady named in Tolkien of whom we are aware.
VardaValar1: She is a traveling RN, and a very nice person, whom you will all surely enjoy meeting. : )
ArPharazonV: RN?
VardaValar1: She emailed asking for our IM, (AIM), which I just answered, and hopes to come in.
Arwen V1: registered nurse
ArPharazonV: I see
VardaValar1: Registered Nurse, thank you fast-typing Arwen. : )
VardaValar1: That is a high title for a nurse, very good.
VardaValar1: She is a very active gamer.
VardaValar1: Her favorite character is Bilbo, for his imperfections and resilience.
VardaValar1: Dis also showed me a problem that many of you may be having.
VardaValar1: Naming in games,
ArathornValar: patches?
VardaValar1: especially if a person has a less-used character in Tolkien,
VardaValar1: can be tough.
Star of Phaet: Aye
VardaValar1: Her name is only listed as Dis, for instance.
VardaValar1: It is not translated in Tolkien as far as I know, but
VardaValar1: we do know that in mythology Dis meant "riches" and was ruler of the Underworld, aka Pluto.
Eonwe Valar: Which mythology?
VardaValar1: We strongly suspect that riches and underground may have been the deciding traits that led Tolkien to the use of the name.
VardaValar1: Greek
VardaValar1: Roman
VardaValar1: Pluto is the more known name.
ArPharazonV: Pluto was Roman, wasn't he?
VardaValar1: Aye
Eonwe Valar: Don't remember Dis for Pluto/Hades.
ArPharazonV: with Hades being Greek?
Sarujil: Virgil named a city Dis in Inferno also :-)
VardaValar1: It is an obscure one.
VardaValar1: Aye, Phar
VardaValar1: Good name, Ancalagon. : )
VardaValar1: We have various ways of handling the naming problem.
ArPharazonV: http://www.pantheon.org/articles/d/dis.html
Sarujil: dante, sorry. virgil was the guide through inferno
VardaValar1: One, we used to have Irmo spoonfeed names to new members. Worked great until he had to stop. : )
ArPharazonV: that's something completely different...
ArPharazonV: http://www.pantheon.org/articles/d/dis_pater.html must be the one you're referring to!
VardaValar1: Encyclopedia Mythica is an extremely good online guide for Mythology. Thanks Phar.
VardaValar1: A lot of it is very short description, but the coverage is fantastic.
VardaValar1: Ok, back to naming, a problem we all have.
VardaValar1: We try to find the meaning of the primary name with which we started.
VardaValar1: Then we look through the books for other versions of the character.
VardaValar1: Tolkien often has many names for the person, often in the same place.
VardaValar1: Then we check for ways to translate the meaning of the name into other of Tolkien's languages.
VardaValar1: This can give quite a number of interesting names.
VardaValar1: Not in the books, quite often, but good variations, educational in the languages, and quite alright. : )
VardaValar1: Then some names can be Tolkien language descriptions of the character.
VardaValar1: Fainan is an example.
VardaValar1: It means "I emit light" and refers to Varda, the Valie of light.
ArPharazonV: hmm... does Calion mean Gold or Golden then?
Eonwe Valar: Golden
ArPharazonV: because Calion's the elvish name for Pharazon and Pharaz is said to mean Golden
Eonwe Valar: Translated to Pharazon.
ArPharazonV: ...or Gold
VardaValar1: Also, we can take the primary name, or even the alt names, and tack on terms...
VardaValar1: descriptive of the gaming character.
VardaValar1: For instance, a word meaning staff for a staff user, or dwarf for a dwarf avatar.
VardaValar1: or -wen for maiden.
VardaValar1: Besides our own site with the Quenya Lore Book and other language material,
VardaValar1: I suggest the Ardalambion as a source of such added bits.
VardaValar1: It has all the languages, although sometimes hard to get at.
VardaValar1: We were considering making a page with some of these potential tack-ons.
VardaValar1: Would any of you here want such a page?
VardaValar1: It's not that hard to look them up on your own, so I ask.
VardaValar1: You can also *gasp* look up words and parts of words in the books.
Star of Phaet: shock horror
VardaValar1: Pardon my dialecticism. \
VardaValar1: "Tack on" means to use a small nail, called a tack, to add a small item to your work.
FladrifV: thanks for the explanation
VardaValar1: My pleasure.
VardaValar1: Whenever I'm unclear, please feel free to ask.
FladrifV: so I did :-)
VardaValar1: Surely others will also be confused, so you will be helping others.
Menelvagor Valar: gonna walk the dog and then I'm all yours :)
VardaValar1: *pats dog*
VardaValar1: See you later, Swordsman : )
VardaValar1: So no one sees a need for such a page?
FladrifV: I think its more fun to have it in meetings like this
VardaValar1: It is hard to do the research needed while holding a meeting.
VardaValar1: It is more fun though. : )
Eonwe Valar: There's also the Forum, should anyone want to *gasp* ask there :}
VardaValar1: Guess that is a no on making the page. Doing nothing is easy. Finished!
VardaValar1: Any of you can ask for help by email, when I can devote more time.
VardaValar1: Also, we have people who just add the English word, or add the v for our guild. Thrormagev did both at once. : )
VardaValar1: Sometimes adding the v makes us look like a bunch of Russians, quite delightful. Vardav works nicely, but consonant endings have a problem.
VardaValar1: Creativity is the key. : )
Menelvagor Valar: back in full now.
VardaValar1: We just want to have a way to recognize each other.
VardaValar1: Aiyata, Menelvagor. : )
ArPharazonV: hmm... Pharazov would be nice...
VardaValar1: There you go, like that.
VardaValar1: Menelvagov : )
Arwen V1: Arwenv looks weird though.
Arwen V1: =/
VardaValar1: Arwev : )
Eonwe Valar: Varwen? :}
Arwen V1: lol
VardaValar1: Sounds like me. : )
Arwen V1: yeah, people will think I'm Varda then
FladrifV: fladrifv
Eonwe Valar: True, maybe not so good :}
VardaValar1: I often use Var as I'm sometimes called Var for short.
ArPharazonV: Fladriv?
VardaValar1: Aye, Fladrifv is in use. : )
Srekal86 has left the room.
Star of Phaet: Vladrif?
Eonwe Valar: Vladrif probably not good either :}
Star of Phaet: Arven?
ArPharazonV: Vladriv!
FladrifV: och
VardaValar1: We are getting a bit silly, but it's often a way to actually find a name. Play with it.
ArPharazonV: ArVarazon?
VardaValar1: The best is to try to use some real Tolkien
VardaValar1: That way you pick up all kinds of side goodies.
FladrifV: Varp
VardaValar1: And it can sound better than Varp. : )
VardaValar1: Var anything could be confused with my mess of names. : )
FladrifV: *shakes branches of laughing*
VardaValar1: So be prepared for some peculiar questions out of the blue!
ArPharazonV: oh come on, nothing wrong with Varpharazon
FladrifV: evarparazon...then you get your land back
VardaValar1: Except for the confusion part? : )
VardaValar1: Ok, maybe a side window will have to be devoted to this. ;-)
VardaValar1: heh
ArathornValar: Arweniev :-P
VardaValar1: If you folks would like to be of help
VardaValar1: Look up member names on the Members page,
VardaValar1: then look in the Encyc to see if it has a list of other Tolkien names for the character.
VardaValar1: If not, then email a list of your research of actual Tolkien names and from where.
VardaValar1: Currently that is a bit of a mess
VardaValar1: I need help to get it cleaned up.
VardaValar1: So feel free to toss in something for one or more names. : )
VardaValar1: Any other Membership news?

VardaValar1: Web News:
VardaValar1: I have been slacking off on working on the pages. I apologize and will try to be more diligent.
VardaValar1: I have a great many neglected projects going, and would be glad of help on any of them. : )
VardaValar1: Kings of men or elves, with a bit of the history of their time. (Two projects there.)
VardaValar1: Thorin's Company: all members in it.
VardaValar1: We need to be useful for the upcoming Hobbit movie.
VardaValar1: Anything at all to help with the Hobbit movie is appreciated.
VardaValar1: Artists really like descriptions, for instance.
VardaValar1: Actors like to know mannerisms, relationships
Menelvagor Valar: Thorin, nori, ori, bifur, bofur, bombur, oin, gloin, balin... missing anyone?
Menelvagor Valar: dwalin.. right?
VardaValar1: 13 dwarves, one hobbit, one wizard. : )
VardaValar1: right on Dwalin
Menelvagor Valar: definitely missing some then :)
Menelvagor Valar: 3 more.
VardaValar1: Keep going : ) Anyone?
VardaValar1: It's in our Ency if you're stuck. ; )
ArPharazonV: thinking...
ArPharazonV: dori
VardaValar1: starts with F on one
VardaValar1: good
ArPharazonV: Fili and Kili!
VardaValar1: good!
Menelvagor Valar: and the bilbo was hobbit, and the gandalf was wizard, right? :-D
VardaValar1: Aye : )
VardaValar1: Done! Good work : )
Menelvagor Valar: and if memory serves correct, Fili and Kili were the youngest and generally got the "bad jobs" to do.
VardaValar1: Aye : )
Eonwe Valar: Bad jobs, like stealing from a dragon? :}
VardaValar1: Like clean up : )
Menelvagor Valar: nah, that was for a thiefmaster or somesuch like Bilbo :)
VardaValar1: Actually, helping set the table
Menelvagor Valar: cleaning up, scouting, that kind of thing.
VardaValar1: all helped with cleaning except Thorin.
Eonwe Valar: It's good to be the king :}
Menelvagor Valar: no king yet :)
VardaValar1: boss works. ; )
Menelvagor Valar: and didn't see him help cleaning up Smaug :-P
ArPharazonV: they also died in the battle of the five armies..
Menelvagor Valar: hmm... I suggest taking "The Hobbit" into the Tolkien section for further disection?
VardaValar1: Aye
VardaValar1: Any further web news?
Menelvagor Valar: good topic that though :)
VardaValar1: Menelvagor, I saw Alatar on Ventrilo last night
VardaValar1: Maybe you can catch him there for help on your web problem
VardaValar1: Eonwe, Lungorthin, Menelvagor: any web news?
VardaValar1: Anyone else?
top

VardaValar1: Gaming:
VardaValar1: Who played anything besides WoW and is allowed to talk about it, this week? : )
ArPharazonV: thinking, but can't come up with anything...
FladrifV: chess? :P
VardaValar1: Chess is good. :-)
FladrifV: only thing I play next to wow
Star of Phaet: I played Spider Solitaire earlier today ;-)
FladrifV: *over internet that is
VardaValar1: Internet Canasta anyone? : )
FladrifV: what is that?
VardaValar1: Finduilas is not here for WoW Euro.
VardaValar1: Pharazon, do you have a report for WoW Euro?
ArPharazonV: ehrr... not really, we're making some good progress on the Twin Emperors of Ahn'Qiraj, and we're still trying to beat Patchwerk in Naxxramas...
VardaValar1: Nice!
VardaValar1: See any other Valar Europe folk?
ArPharazonV: the character I used to sign Finduilas' charter in Argent Dawn I brought back to my old guild The High Guard, since we won't try it there anymore...
ArPharazonV: I've spoken to Finduilas a bunch of times, she says hello, can't be here tonight, but didn't tell me where she was going
VardaValar1: Might as well
Menelvagor Valar: Finduilas' Paladin is making good progress.
FladrifV: indeed
VardaValar1: The rp server was causing problems, as a Tolkien rp was not welcome in a WoW rp area.
ArPharazonV: too bad all our conversations took place around my raids, so we didn't have time to play together
VardaValar1: Do you play when it's not a raid time? : )
ArPharazonV: I do, yes, occasionally :-)
ArPharazonV: this afternoon I didn't raid!
VardaValar1: egads!
FladrifV: *gasp*
VardaValar1: Ok moving on
ArPharazonV: getting a little burned out on the 20-man raids
VardaValar1: Eonwe, could you give the WoW Lothar report?
ArPharazonV: so while people do those, I try to farm a little, do some quests...
Eonwe Valar: Sure can.
ArPharazonV: but yeah, that's all from me, go Eonwe!
Eonwe Valar: This week took Eonwë, Varda, Arwen, Arathorn, and Ancalagon into Blackrock Depths to attempt Jailbreak, Dark Iron Legacy, Heart of the Mountain, and Incendius.
Eonwe Valar: We cleared around the Jailbreak area first to make the task a bit easier. Unfortunately, some bad angles in a doorway during one fight cost us the battle. We'll be giving it another go next week.
Eonwe Valar: In the meantime, we fought onward to reclaim the Heart of the Mountain from the Vault. After dealing with the boss and the giant golems, we then took a step back to the Domocile to get a key to claim what was in the special vault.
Eonwe Valar: Once completing that, we went on to Darkvire and Incendius. Taking both out with relative ease, we backtracked to get Arwen the Shadowforge key, and called it a night. During the trip, Arwen got to lvl 59 on her Warrior.
VardaValar1: yay Arwen!
ArPharazonV: grats :-)
ArathornValar: what are you installing?
Eonwe Valar: ?
ArathornValar: Arwen
ArathornValar: something about a patch..?
VardaValar1: WoW
VardaValar1: Then it had to go through the patches.
Eonwe Valar: Btw, that does it for my report.
VardaValar1: Thank you, Eonwe : )
Eonwe Valar: mp
VardaValar1: Did you have anything else you wanted to tell for Uldaman or elsewhere?
Eonwe Valar: Me?
Eonwe Valar: It's there. Play it. :}
VardaValar1: Aye. You've been working on the members lists there and visiting
VardaValar1: hehe - thanks
Eonwe Valar: Aye, I've been keeping the tables up-to-date for Lothar and Uldaman :}
VardaValar1: If you want to play Horde, we have Uldaman server. :-)
VardaValar1: For LotRO, everyone keep an eye on your email.
VardaValar1: Also, guilds with the most members signing up get a higher percentage of their people invited, as a guild.
VardaValar1: They get a preference, as they are more likely to game.
VardaValar1: So be sure to sign up. : )
VardaValar1: Unfortunately, LotRO gamers are not allowed to tell even their spouses that they play, unless they are also gamers.
ArathornValar: is LotRO coming out?
VardaValar1: So use the beta forum and the LotRO mail
VardaValar1: It's in beta
VardaValar1: It is taking new testers nearly ever month
ArathornValar: is there a demo?
VardaValar1: It is scheduled to come out Spring 2007
Eonwe Valar: Even their spouses? Wow, tight security. Gotta lock the room down before you log in? :}
ArathornValar: How do you get on the testing team?
VardaValar1: Look on www.lotro.com and sign up there
Star of Phaet: well, that rules me out, computer in a main room of the house ;-)
VardaValar1: Mention your guild name in the place where it asks for it.
VardaValar1: So is mine, Gilraen. Not your fault if they happen to walk by.
Eonwe Valar: Ah, so it's like the old cereal commercial: "What'chya eatin'?" "Nuttin' honey." :}
VardaValar1: Right : )
VardaValar1: But the family can try to be reasonably discreet
ArathornValar: can't you just beam us into the game o lady o' light? :-P
VardaValar1: Any further gaming news?
VardaValar1: Arathorn, I am trying very hard
VardaValar1: I do that by asking you to sign in using your guild name
Eonwe Valar: Turbine has all their windwo shutters closed :}
VardaValar1: This can help us beam in more persons.
ArathornValar: hmm can you give me that link again .. it didnt work the first time and I cleared the screen
Arwen V1 has left the room.
VardaValar1: http://www.lotro.com/
VardaValar1: click it
VardaValar1: the beta sign up is right there
ArathornValar: Where it says "Sign up for Beta"? *runs for cover!*
VardaValar1: That's a good guess. Both comments. ;-)
VardaValar1: Anyone else need to sign up?
VardaValar1: Any further gaming news?
VardaValar1: Should I just let you guys wander around the LotRO forum? :-)
VardaValar1: Please be sure to go to kinships and type into the search: Valar Guild
VardaValar1: and say hi : )
VardaValar1: Let them know we are alive
VardaValar1: Anyone still here, please type Aye
VardaValar1: Aye
Star of Phaet: Aye
ArPharazonV: Aye
FladrifV: what is the chance....fladrif and skjold gone for forum...
VardaValar1: 4 of 14
FladrifV: oh aye
VardaValar1: Fladrifv works : )
VardaValar1: That's why we have the guild v thingy
VardaValar1: It lets us use even popular names
Eonwe Valar: Aye
VardaValar1: 5/14 : )
Eonwe Valar: Ime just multitasking :}
VardaValar1: hmm, 5/13. Orodreth is here twice
ArathornValar: Odd says my ID aready exists as Arathornv.. I must be on their forum already
Eonwe Valar: *'m
Eonwe Valar: *I'm
VardaValar1: Probably are, Ara
VardaValar1: It's been around quite a while
ArathornValar: hmm but ut wants me to create an account to sign up .. :-\
VardaValar1: And we've been asking for sign ups for beta since they were first mentioned.
VardaValar1: Forget your password?
Eonwe Valar: You can sign into your account then sign up for beta
VardaValar1: Aye, what Eonwe said
ArathornValar: ahh
VardaValar1: You are supposed to sign onto the forum first. Pardon.
Eonwe Valar: If you don't have an account, make one. If you do, sign in and sign up :}
VardaValar1: What Eonwe said! : )
Eonwe Valar: Grab a sowrd and fight the.... Dark Lord! :}
VardaValar1: Duck Morgoth and Sauron!
VardaValar1: Otherwise we have a short game. : )
VardaValar1: Codemasters for Euro may be reached from that same website given for LotRO
VardaValar1: Turbine handles the Americas
VardaValar1: If there is no further business?
VardaValar1: comments, suggestions, compliments, gentle growls?
Oessala: Codemasters? Didn't they make perimeter?
Oessala: Sorry, that was totally random.
VardaValar1: =)
top

VardaValar1: Tolkien:
VardaValar1: We already have two topics of a fashion, and would be interested if anyone has another
ArathornValar: hmm not accepting password or emails to get pwd if forgot :-\
Eonwe Valar: ouch
VardaValar1: Re-register?
VardaValar1: Sounds odd
ArathornValar: both arathorn and arathornv taken .sigh
VardaValar1: You have more problems with this thing than I do, not sure how to help.
VardaValar1: Try Haran!
VardaValar1: Ok - on the topics:
VardaValar1: We earlier were talking about our needs on the Encyc for filling in subjects for the Hobbit.
VardaValar1: Thorin's Company could be the core of that, a project started but in need of much work yet.
VardaValar1: We can also use info on the area of Dale, and on Smaug
VardaValar1: We have some of course, but additional is welcome
VardaValar1: We could use something on the Thrushes and their relation to the Men of Dale.
VardaValar1: That is a topic we have hardly ever touched. : )
VardaValar1: Also the Ravens of Erebor spoke to the Dwarves.
VardaValar1: Both were long-lived types of birds, and could converse intelligently.
VardaValar1: One wonders if Radagast might not have been behind that.
VardaValar1: Many things that might have been going on, such as Radagast's work, receive such tiny hints as this.
VardaValar1: We could also use a good strategy overall view of the Battle of Five Armies, and what triggered what.
VardaValar1: This is one of the cases where Manwe steps in with his eagles.
VardaValar1: Any other suggestions for what we should include before the movie comes out?
VardaValar1: They currently intend to do retcons in the movie.
Eonwe Valar: erg
VardaValar1: Tolkien had not yet invented a number of characters at the time of the Hobbit, but they would have been present.
VardaValar1: Such as meeting ten year old Aragorn at Rivendell.
VardaValar1: They would most likely be mostly cameos, for fun.
Eonwe Valar: Well, that's a horse of a different color.
VardaValar1: We could figure out what retcons could be present and how much, so they don't put in a 20-year old Aragorn, for instance.
VardaValar1: Or a baby Aragorn. : )
ArPharazonV: was Gimli alive by then?
VardaValar1: Gimli would have been a youngster, and Gloin could comment on him for instance, missing home.
VardaValar1: yes : )
ArPharazonV: ok :-)
VardaValar1: Legolas was probably one of the captains mentioned in Thranduil's army.
VardaValar1: As Mirkwood's prince, he could very likely have been a main commander, as that was done in old times.
VardaValar1: So don't scream argh if you see him doing that. : )
Sarujil: ill scream if he joins the company and shoots smaug instead of bard
VardaValar1: The hobbits were too young
VardaValar1: heh, I'll join you Anc!
Sarujil: somehow i wouldnt be surprised if that happened :-(
VardaValar1: If Faramir can shoot a fell beast when Legolas actually did it, then aye. Could happen.
Eonwe Valar: Frodo, will of course carry the Arkenstone to Erebor, heh.
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: Frodo wasn't born yet. : )
Star of Phaet: I suspect that's the point ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Arwen will lead Thranduil's forces into battle, just because.
VardaValar1: I am in agreement with Eonwe. : )
VardaValar1: hehe
ArPharazonV: I wonder if they'll pull in Lorien and Haldir in some way...
VardaValar1: o my : ) How would they pull that one off?
VardaValar1: He was most likely alive, so they might consider it. ow
ArPharazonV: they sent Elves to Helm's Deep... so why not send them to Erebor?
VardaValar1: Elves were at Erebor
Eonwe Valar: Elves were at Erebor though :}
VardaValar1: Thranduil's army
ArPharazonV: yes, but Lorien-elves
VardaValar1: Celeborn is a Sindarin, might want to help his Sindarin fellow ruler, Thranduil. eep
ArPharazonV: indeed
VardaValar1: shhh : )
ArPharazonV: let's not give them the idea ;-)
VardaValar1: Haldir happened to be visiting Mirkwood, since he is a known traveler. ; )
VardaValar1: Ok, so what do we actually want to see in the movie?
ArPharazonV: singing Dwarves!
Sarujil: i want to see a really exciting spider battle in mirkwood
Eonwe Valar: The Hobbit portrayed as closely to the book as possible, which is quite possible :}
VardaValar1: The dwarves singing and playing their instruments at Bilbo's. Ahh, great minds, Ar
VardaValar1: ohh, aye! Spider fight!
VardaValar1: And yes, the Mirkwood spiders talked.
