GwaihirValar has entered the room.
Srekal86 has entered the room.
GwaihirValar: thank you for the invite, but I'm going to be heading to bed within a few minutes...
VardaValar1: Aiya :-)
VardaValar1: Rest well, Gwaihir :-)
GwaihirValar: :-)
Srekal86: /me waves
Arwen V1: =)
VardaValar1: *waves back*
FarmerMaggotV has left the room.
VardaValar1: Still working on the invites
VardaValar1: Ok, that's all for the minute
VardaValar1: Must be the lowest number in history, for a meeting start
VardaValar1: Do I have the time wrong?
VardaValar1: It wouldn't be the first time I misfigured EST ;-)
Srekal86: heh no, time is right ;-)
Srekal86: this is pretty low numbers, where is everyone?
ArPharazonV: Aiya, sorry for the lateness
ArPharazonV has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: Aiya
VardaValar1: Ok, I've never seen it this low, Srekal
VardaValar1: Heya Phar
ArPharazonV: sorry for lateness
ArPharazonV: and there's lag?
VardaValar1: No problem
VardaValar1: Aye, lag on my side
ArPharazonV: on my side too
VardaValar1: Could be what our difficulty is
ArPharazonV: well, there was in the beginning at least...
VardaValar1: I'll try to run through this fairly quickly then
ArPharazonV: and there still is now, it seems! agh!
Srekal86: not good at all.

VardaValar1: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo
VardaValar1: Membership News:
VardaValar1: We have a large number of people who may be helping add to the story page
VardaValar1: They are not "regular" members, but are willing to add to the site
VardaValar1: We usually call them Tolkien-onlies
VardaValar1: We also have another you might see online, sirens of metal, when in AIM
VardaValar1: who would like to join the guild, but has a problem getting with us during meetings
VardaValar1: You may be able to help him if you see him on AIM
VardaValar1: Please add him to your friend list if you would like to do this
VardaValar1: Any other member news
VardaValar1: ?
VardaValar1: Web News:
VardaValar1: On the story front, we have tons coming in, and I am trying to get them set up
VardaValar1: I have some articles sitting on the back burner, due to this, and to the re-work on the programming
VardaValar1: Your help in adding new articles, especially those helping with your role-play, are welcome
VardaValar1: We also need your input on articles for the Fellowship members, especially the smaller ones about some particular detail
Eonwe Valar has entered the room.
VardaValar1: The big general ones over everything are also welcome : )
VardaValar1: Aiya Eonwe!
Eonwe Valar: heya
VardaValar1: We seem to be having a lag problem on AIM, and some difficulty with invites, most unusual
VardaValar1: Any further Web News?
GwaihirValar: and now, my friends, I must bid you farewell... so... Namarie to all of you... and sleep well whenever your schedules/timezones permit you ;-)
VardaValar1: The sweep of inactive members has not been properly tended to, and I will try to work on that in the upcoming week. A large part has been done, but not the final emails that usually go out in November
VardaValar1: Namarie, Gwaihir
GwaihirValar has left the room.
VardaValar1: Sleep - we'll have to look up the definition of that strange word he just used.
Srekal86: heh
VardaValar1: Some rp discussion for our Forum
ArPharazonV: haven't read the forum in 2 days... busy busy me
VardaValar1: Anyone wanting to join as a Noldo needs to do so very soon, or they will be NPC's
VardaValar1: Phar, would you be posting to the rp anytime soon?
Oessala has entered the room.
Orodreth V has entered the room.
VardaValar1: I hate to post right after my own post : )
VardaValar1: Aiya Orodreth and his doppelganger
Oessala: heh
VardaValar1: Eonwe, did you wish to add anything to the comment on the rp?
ArPharazonV: I might, I might... if I remember it this week
VardaValar1: These very long times between all the posts make it kind of hard to work with
Eonwe Valar: Only that I intend to make my next post soon, and when I do, unless someone's spoken up to be a Noldo, any of the scouts sent out north of the East-west road will be NPCs.
Eonwe Valar: Except Auros, of course.
Eonwe Valar: Auros right now is in an inn waiting for the others to arrive. Soon they will.
Eonwe Valar: That's all.
VardaValar1: Thank you, Eonwe
VardaValar1: We could also have humans and dwarves start joining in this location
VardaValar1: Orodreth reports that on the Battlenet bot, he has seen Dior and Alatar
VardaValar1: I was there too
VardaValar1: The bot went down since Thursday, but Orodreth hopes to have it up again, probably tomorrow
VardaValar1: He says the trigger is ' if I understand correctly?
VardaValar1: He has to leave right away
VardaValar1: Any further web news?
VardaValar1: Gaming News
VardaValar1: The above about the bot also fits here for Battlenet : )
VardaValar1: Has anyone played anything besides WoW this week?
VardaValar1: Oh, I'm sorry, more web news
ArPharazonV: meh, I've played a bit of War3 single-player while in queue for WoW...
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: My sympathy. Lothar has that problem too now
VardaValar1: Depending on time of day
ArPharazonV: trying to find alternate solutions for that last orc-quest in TFT ;-)
VardaValar1: On the Story page, we have a batch of new ones:
VardaValar1: Jay of Lasgalen's:
ArPharazonV: since I've restarted just that mission, I lost the Pandaren hero... I tell you, it's a lot harder with only 3 heroes instead of 4
VardaValar1: "The Search"
VardaValar1: "A Brother's Prayer"
Oessala: Back for a sec to check something before I leave. Trigger is `, not '. Found to the right of the 1 key on standard american keyboards.
Oessala: /me poofs
Orodreth V: /me follows suit
VardaValar1: Thanks Orodreth!
VardaValar1: `
FarmerMaggotV has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Heya Farmer
FarmerMaggotV: odd, I accepted the invitation half an hour ago and just realized I wasn't in here
VardaValar1: "A Brother's Prayer" is a perfect Double Drabble
VardaValar1: You were, Farmer, but you fell out
FarmerMaggotV: ah
VardaValar1: You didn't lose your mind, just your connection
VardaValar1: We had to back up to Web News, so that's where we are now
VardaValar1: A Brother's Prayer is, therefore, one of the First Place double drabbles on our Challenge page
VardaValar1: Elwing-(V) sent in a new story, posted same day
VardaValar1: "The Best Medicine"
VardaValar1: Today, we added another story, this one by a fellow Silmarillion fan needing a place to light:
VardaValar1: Her name is Liek
VardaValar1: She is also a Double Drabble challenge winner with her brand new story:
VardaValar1: "Maitimo"
VardaValar1: You might want to duck out and read that one. It uses the old names for the participants in a very tense moment
VardaValar1: Maedhros and Maglor have a decision to make that affects the history of Middle-earth
VardaValar1: Also, Cassia and Siobhan of the Mellon Chronicles said they like our site
VardaValar1: and will let us archive their famous series here, complete with the photo-manips
VardaValar1: Their series filled in a lot of holes, and inspired a lot of authors to work in that filled-in area, who are still going heavily, although Cassia and Siobhan no longer write much
VardaValar1: Their site no longer accepts stories, so a number are coming our way
VardaValar1: Does anyone else have web news?

VardaValar1: Back to Gaming News, so rudely interrupted by Stories : )
VardaValar1: Phar, do you have a WoW Europe report?
ArPharazonV: oh, ok
ArPharazonV: Menelvagor's around again, though we haven't spoken that much
ArPharazonV: Fladrif is back again, from Sweden!
ArPharazonV: Valandile I haven't seen
ArPharazonV: as for myself and our raids...
ArPharazonV: we slew Broodlord Lashlayer this week, and I got his head for the Only One May Rise quest, a part of the sceptre of AQ-questline
ArPharazonV: unfortunately, the next part is farming about 40000 carapaces in Silithus... and most of our raidalliance was already supporting another alliance-group for that
ArPharazonV: so I've decided to pitch in with that, and after they're done, perhaps my time in the spotlight may still come ;-)
VardaValar1: Good luck!
ArPharazonV: I'm now exalted with Ironforge, so my epic ram is in sight... just need 400 gold more ;-)
ArPharazonV: thanks
ArPharazonV: and that's it for me, mostly
VardaValar1: Thanks, Phar
VardaValar1: Eonwe do you have a WoW Americas report?
Eonwe Valar: Nay, not much happened this Friday.
VardaValar1: For this Friday, Sauron says thank you for your "not much"!
VardaValar1: He was greatly aided in his Warlock quests in two instances by the guild
VardaValar1: For today, Valtocolindo right this moment is in Molten Core with Gelmir and others
ArPharazonV: ah, right, MC... we set a speed-record for ourselves this week, the entire instance Lucifron-Ragnaros in less than 4 hours!
VardaValar1: We can do instances because we have a lot of friends, even if we don't have enough 60's of our own on at the right time
VardaValar1: Congratulations : )
VardaValar1: We have some friends who come to our house a lot who are slowly getting computers and working their way through the books
VardaValar1: You may be seeing some in the friends channel : )
ArPharazonV: thanks! No loot for me though... but that's ok ;-)
ArPharazonV: and AIM still lagging for me
VardaValar1: Maybe next time, Phar.
ArPharazonV: aye, next time
VardaValar1: or the next... heh
VardaValar1: Please whisper Tolkien topics
VardaValar1: How about an aye for whomever is live here? : )
VardaValar1: Aye
ArPharazonV: Aye
VardaValar1: We're either seriously laggy or everyone is off somewhere
VardaValar1: Either way, that makes it hard to have a chat
Srekal86: oddly enough I'm experiencing tremendous lag for one of my servers yet no one else is...I wonder if the backbone is having some issues...
VardaValar1: It might be
Eonwe Valar: aye
Srekal86: internettrafficreport isn't showing anything though, hm
Eonwe Valar: Pardon, doing two things at once.
VardaValar1: wow, just got an aye from Eonwe
VardaValar1: That's good to hear

VardaValar1: There were a lot of decisions along the timeline in LotR that may have looked small at the time, but had a huge effect
VardaValar1: The "Maitimo" story underlines that nicely
VardaValar1: A moment of compassion or of keeping to the plan set the future course of Middle-earth
VardaValar1: Galadriel had such a moment, when she could have taken the One Ring, freely offered
VardaValar1: Can you think of one moment of that nature?
ArPharazonV: should I mention my own moment when Pharazon followed Sauron's advice and attacked Valinor?
VardaValar1: Absolutely!
ArPharazonV: well, then, consider it mentioned ;-)
VardaValar1: That changed the physical nature of the world, and the way for elves to reach Valinor almost like an After-life
VardaValar1: It is so considered : )
VardaValar1: How about the decision to add Gandalf to the Istari? : )
ArPharazonV: hehe
ArPharazonV: how about the decision to add Saruman to the Istari?
VardaValar1: aye! : )
VardaValar1: He seemed to corrupt or use all the other Istari at some point
Eonwe Valar: How about the decision of Radaghast to do pretty much nothing? :}
VardaValar1: Radagast, the side-tracked
VardaValar1: aye
VardaValar1: He seemed to have decided to work with plants and animals, and pretty much dropped humanoids
ArPharazonV: how about Bilbo deciding to keep the Ring in his pocket instead of throwing it back in the tunnel where he found it? ;-)
VardaValar1: Do you suppose his discovery of how he was used by Saruman contributed to Radagast's pull-out?
VardaValar1: Aye, Phar
VardaValar1: He could have left it on the ground, simply because it was not his. But between the Ring and the Valar, he had a lot to resist
ArPharazonV: and Gollum deciding to answer Bilbo's non-riddle-question anyway
VardaValar1: The Valar would have had to find someone else
VardaValar1: ohh, that's a good one, Phar!
VardaValar1: I think this could be a fun topic, but it seems to be just you and me
VardaValar1: What say I turn you loose : )
VardaValar1: I'll go back to work
ArPharazonV: aye, perhaps we could save it for next week
VardaValar1: Or pick it up again
VardaValar1: I enjoyed your comments!
ArPharazonV: :-)
VardaValar1: *bangs gavel*

VardaValar1: After-meeting!
VardaValar1: Namarie!
Eonwe Valar: Take care.
VardaValar1 has left the room.
FarmerMaggotV has left the room.
Srekal86: well that was q uick.
ArPharazonV: indeed
ArPharazonV: greetings from Menelvagor, btw
Srekal86: send some greetings right back ;-)
ArPharazonV: done :-)
Orodreth V: /me checks which name this is
Orodreth V: Ah.
ArPharazonV: :-)
Oessala: Heh.
Oessala: This account sees oro in here twice
Oessala: odd
ArPharazonV: must be some IP-related thing?
Oessala: /me shrugs
Oessala: Heh.
Oessala: Chuck Norris > Blood Elves
Eonwe Valar: I hear he'll be spreading the Forsaken's new plague with a spinning roundhouse kick.
ArPharazonV: Chuck Norris is alliance!
ArPharazonV: he'll be roundhouse kicking the Forsaken back to the grave!
Arwen V1 has left the room.
Oessala: He's gonna lay the smack down on the Forsaken.
Srekal86 has left the room.
ArPharazonV: ok, gonna save and send
