Eonwe Valar: I have Crusader Strike as well :}
Eonwe Valar: My combat has become more mana-intensive :}
Eonwe Valar: But I can now kill a lvl 58 elite, so that's a tradeoff I guess Ican live with :}
ArPharazonV: mangle for me!
Eonwe Valar: kill as in solo :}
GwaihirValar: hunter survival is so weak now... lol...
Eonwe Valar: If you see any guild members on who aren't here, please send them an invite.

top

Eonwe Valar: Elen Sila Lumenn Omentielvo!
Eonwe Valar: Membership:
Eonwe Valar: As of last week, we have a WoW branch set up on European Servers.
FinduilasV: :-D
Eonwe Valar: We also have a new member from over there, who has taken the name Fëanor. Welcome to him!
Orodreth V has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Varda and Fangorn are out of town until Friday.
Eonwe Valar: But I'm still here, so never fear :}
Eonwe Valar: Finduilas, you had member news?
FinduilasV: aha .. indeed
FinduilasV: It is not very good news or lets say more than lucky in mishap
FinduilasV: eru has held his protective hand over my fiance as he crashed headfront into another car
FinduilasV: He is at home now but has two dislocated toes and a broken one , including a bruised lung and maybe a crack in the sternum
Eonwe Valar: Ouch. Sorry to hear that, Finduilas.
Star of Phaet: oh dear
GwaihirValar: I hope he's alright
FinduilasV: the other lady is with leg injuries in Inverness but she will be on the mend as well , we hope
FinduilasV: Aye, Gwaihir he holds up well - still very uncomfortable with his crutches though and we have made this room here his temporary bedroom
Eonwe Valar: Heya to Finduilas' husband :}
Eonwe Valar: Guess that means he gets to come to meetings whether he likes it or not? :}
FinduilasV: But on the whole its only the cars .. , and normally I would have been in the car too
FinduilasV: The shifts were swapped ...
FinduilasV: well , hehe, Eonwe , he is jetting through space right now '=_
Eonwe Valar: Ah :}
FinduilasV: thats it from my side,
Eonwe Valar: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband :}
FinduilasV: thanks :-)
Eonwe Valar: I've got one more piece of Membership news, but before I begin on it, is there any more membership news?
Eonwe Valar: Ok, then let's begin :}
Eonwe Valar: Varda poses a question to the membership from beyond the internet:
Eonwe Valar: "Would you like to use the old Yahoo Forum, which can be delivered as email at your discretion, as a way to read the News sent to your email or that you can add to without having to go through an admin?
Eonwe Valar: It an also be a way to upload your poetry, stories, articles, gaming remarks, and comments without having to go through Varda, for things that don't go well on our current ProBoards.
Eonwe Valar: Please let your feelings be known either at the meeting or by emailing Varda."
Eonwe Valar: Your thoughts?
FinduilasV: It certainly would take work off her hands
Star of Phaet: I could see why it would be useful, though I don't know if I'd use it myself. I have more than enough email most days as it is!
Eonwe Valar: For those who may not remember, we do have a Yahoo Discussion Board :}
Eonwe Valar: It was used before we moved to the current forum.
ArPharazonV: yup, same, more than enough mail usually.. but I guess it would be useful for those sending in stuff
Eonwe Valar: Anyone else?
Eonwe Valar: Ok, well make sure you e-mail Varda your thoughts then :}
Eonwe Valar: Those of you who didn't respond here :}
Eonwe Valar: Input from the membership is not only important, it's welcome :}
Orodreth V: I wouldn't personally. Checking the news only take a few clicks.
FinduilasV: i have checked the news several times this week , its easy enough
FinduilasV: but of course does it mean more work for Varda and as such it would be of use
Eonwe Valar: I'm not exactly sure whether she'd maintain both the current new page and post news to the Yahoo forum, but I'm guessing not.
Eonwe Valar: *current news page
Eonwe Valar: I'm sure her intention is basically to make sure members do know what's going on in the Guild and have a chance to participate, since not all come to meetings for various reasons, and not all can catch us in games for various reason
Eonwe Valar: s.
Eonwe Valar: (I agree that that current news page is pretty easy to check though :})
FladrifV has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: Aiya Fladrif
FladrifV: aiya
Eonwe Valar: We were just talking about a question Varda asked the membership.
Valandil Valar: suilannad
FladrifV: and namarie...Im so sleepy of the long travel
Eonwe Valar: ok :}
Eonwe Valar: Take care :}
FladrifV: (back in nl again)
Eonwe Valar: Check the news page for the question and e-mail Varda your thoughts :}
ArPharazonV: Namarie, Flad!
Eonwe Valar: Welcome back :}
ArPharazonV: don't forget to stop by at my place while you're in the country ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Sleep well :}
FinduilasV: Namarie, Flad!
FladrifV has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: Any more on Varda's question?
Eonwe Valar: If not, we'll go ahead and move to web news.
Valandil Valar: i cannot comment because i would n t know what i am talking about
Eonwe Valar: Basically using our Old Yahoo board for what Varda suggested :}
Eonwe Valar: Let me grab a link for you.
Eonwe Valar: If I can find it, heh :}
Valandil Valar: either will work for me. It is not unreasonable of her to ask the question
Eonwe Valar: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/thevalarguild
Eonwe Valar: Ok :}
Eonwe Valar: On with the meeting then.
top

Eonwe Valar: Web news:
Eonwe Valar: New Stories:
Eonwe Valar: New chapter up for "Ten Thousand Years Will Not Suffice" by Alcardilme-(TV): TA 2943 aka chapter 5.
Eonwe Valar: Mellon Chronicles Series: "Priceless Treasure" by Cassia-(TV) and Siobhan-(TV) is now edited and linked in.
Eonwe Valar: Story up: Mellon Chronicles Series' "The Stars of Harad" by Cassia-(TV) and Siobhan-(TV) is up.
Eonwe Valar: That's it for stories.
Eonwe Valar: Write Encyclopedia articles and send them in :}
Eonwe Valar: I suppose it's safe to assume there's no other Web news :}
Eonwe Valar: Is there? :}
top

Eonwe Valar: Ok, on to Gaming then :}
Eonwe Valar: Eve: Orodreth still thinks you all should give it a try :} He says the low level experience has been greatly improved.
Eonwe Valar: Battle for Middle-Earth 2: The Expansion, Rise of the Witch-King, snuck out into the stores, with no pomp or ceremony, no great declarations of its coming, heh.
Eonwe Valar: Interesting how EA puts out an expansion based on the Witch-King of Angmar, and Turbine is putting out an MMO whose first part is centered around Angmar... :}
ArPharazonV: hmmm... expansion, eh? hadn't heard of it indeed
ArPharazonV: I should take a look at that
Eonwe Valar: I only stumbled upon it a couple of months ago. Expected to be hearing about it in game stores I frequent, but nope, nothing, and then boom, it'd been out for a month before I even knew it was out.
Eonwe Valar: LotRO:
Eonwe Valar: New beta Journals, new skills for classes shown.
Eonwe Valar: New place of interest: the Green Dragon :}
Eonwe Valar: WoW:
Eonwe Valar: New patch out. Took me all week to download, so unfortunately I don't have a questing report for you today.
Eonwe Valar: Hopefully one of those who might've been around will put one up on the forums.
FinduilasV: Well , the patch has nice graphics and nice new abilities but i think the European servers still have trouble with it
Eonwe Valar: But, I can now kill a lvl 58 elite solo if that means anything :}
ArPharazonV: raids have been a little harsh this week, because addons stopped working or are now bugged
Eonwe Valar: Sorry to hear that Finduilas.
Eonwe Valar: I heard they were disabling some mods like Decursive.
ArPharazonV: and one of the most important addons, decursive, which automatically selects and decurses/depoisons other people if you have that ability, has stopped working alltogether
ArPharazonV: aye
ArPharazonV: which makes a lot of bossfights a LOT harder
ArPharazonV: also, many people have shifted focus from raiding to battlegrounds
ArPharazonV: I too have been bg-ing quite a bit
Eonwe Valar: Aye, with the new PvP system out.
ArPharazonV: yes
ArPharazonV: it's now a lot easier to acquire epic gear by saving up honor and marks of honor than it used to be
ArPharazonV: so many people are trying to get this gear
FinduilasV: My druid has had her first few battles yesterday and i think we did come out quite well :-)
ArPharazonV: I myself have been after some feral pants, which are lacking in the raid-instances
Eonwe Valar: I might just try my Paladin in PvP with the new changes.
Eonwe Valar: With the Honor grind, there was no reason for me to get involved because I'd never be able to play enough to make it worthwhile.
ArPharazonV: so yeah, I've been testing out my new abilities and talents quite a bit, in the few raids we have done, and in Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin
ArPharazonV: exactly
ArPharazonV: but now with the ranking system gone, honor doesn't deteriate, and can be used as cash to get the gear you would otherwise only get at a high rank
Eonwe Valar: Aye, but for the best PvP gear you still have to compete in the Arena.
ArPharazonV: I haven't really tested the Arena yet, heard you can't get any rewards from it until lvl 70
Eonwe Valar: That'll be the competitive ladder, and even that sounds like it might be interesting.
Eonwe Valar: Aye, nothing until 70, but doesn't hurt to get practice now :}
ArPharazonV: also, there have been several new questnodes found since the patch, and as I'm on my eternal mission to complete as many quests as possible
ArPharazonV: that too has been taking my time :-)
Eonwe Valar: The rewards for the arena are supposed to be on par with the most current raid sets at the time.
Eonwe Valar: Aye, I like that they gave another bank column/bagspace and 5 more quest slots :}
ArPharazonV: yes, indeed :-)
Eonwe Valar: Anyone wanting to check this out themselves, patch notes can be found on the WoW community site :}
ArPharazonV: also, the new patch came with new areas added but not accessible yet
Eonwe Valar: The talent calcualtor links don't point to the correct calculators, however.
ArPharazonV: Quel'Thalas now has a portal which you can only pass if you have the expansion
Eonwe Valar: Aye, this patch was to add in support for the expansion.
Eonwe Valar: Which comes out Jan 16th :}
ArPharazonV: and the Azuremyst Isles, starting zone of the Draenei, are on the map now but still inaccessible
ArPharazonV: also, there is now added a map of Outland to your map-system
ArPharazonV: with all the zones in place
ArPharazonV: but of course, the portal isn't open yet (as far as I know, haven't travelled there so far)
Eonwe Valar: Haven't seen the outland map yet. Will have to check that out :}
ArPharazonV: if you zoom out from the worldmap, you get a new map showing both worlds
ArPharazonV: and then you can click on the Outland map and navigate through it as you would through the map of Azeroth
ArPharazonV: of course, nothing is explored yet
Arwen V1 has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: Ok, let's leave some surprises for those who haven't checked the new patch out yet :}
ArPharazonV: hehe
Eonwe Valar: Is there any questing/grouping news from the newly formed European branch?
ArPharazonV: as I've been raiding, pvp-ing and doing the new quests with my main, I have not really visited the guildbranch yet, although we have kept contact through our new channel
ArPharazonV: as for questing, you would have to ask Finduilas or Menelvagor
FinduilasV: My paladin has quite a bit been on the road with Orophin and Archemelos
ArPharazonV: or Valandil, or Feanor, or others, of course
FinduilasV: or what is his name, Valandil?
Valandil Valar: aeremethar
FinduilasV: Aeremethar , of course , .. we have been looking for a robot which we found near the Deep Chasm
Eonwe Valar: Remind me where the Deep Chasm is?
FinduilasV: Tanaris
FinduilasV: Near Un Goro Crater
Valandil Valar: with Orophin you also went hunting in Feralas
Eonwe Valar: Ah, thanks.
FinduilasV: thatr s right , Valandil, Yeti and Sea Giants
Valandil Valar: yes
Valandil Valar: Orophin also helped a certain druid in Darkshore
FinduilasV: ah, Indeed . .. and a warrior
Valandil Valar: yes
Valandil Valar: a warrior elf Lady
Eonwe Valar: Glad to hear you've been getting together and gaming :}
FinduilasV: Finduilasse is now free to join the Valar Guild , but unfortunately Menelvagor has not been on to invite him yet
FinduilasV: but I am sure it will happen this week some time
FinduilasV: It has been good fun :-) Orophin and Aremethar are kind companions
FinduilasV: That's it from my side then ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Thanks :}
Eonwe Valar: Any other gaming news?
Eonwe Valar: Send me Tolkien topics as well :}

Tolkien:
    Topic 1: Languages in role-play naming and phrases
    Topic 2: What can we learn about the characters in Tolkien's works from their names? Tangent: Lobelia
Role-play
ArathornValar: Who is Rohirawyn in Wow Lothar, Eonwe?
Eonwe Valar: Eowyn.
ArathornValar: Elwing as well?
Eonwe Valar: Creative name.
Eonwe Valar: No, Rohirawyn is only Eowyn.
ArathornValar: yeah it stymied me :-P
ArathornValar: who is Elwing again
Eonwe Valar: Elwing is Elwing :}
Eonwe Valar: Unsure what you're asking if you're not asking that :}
ArathornValar: ahh ok .. that makes sense then :-PI didnt see another name for her
ArathornValar: thought it was an alt for anotehr name
Eonwe Valar: Ok, glad I answered your question :}
Eonwe Valar: We try to have guild members use variants, even creative ones as you've seen, to help with recognition, as it at least give some hint as to the person :}
Eonwe Valar: Rohirawyn can tell you the owner must has something to do with horses/Rohan, and wyn you might recognize as similar to wen, which means maiden :}
Eonwe Valar: Of course, if that fails, asking helps too :}
Eonwe Valar: An added tidbit of trivia, Aragorn's horse was named Roheryn.
Eonwe Valar: Anything else for gaming?
Eonwe Valar: Send in Game Reviews :}
Valandil Valar: does anybody know a roleplay helper addon that works ?
FinduilasV: aye, i miss my flag RSP
ArathornValar: heh actually I found the horses name trying to find Eowyns alt :-P
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Valandil Valar: i used Roleplay helper, adjusted many sentences to quenia and Sindarin
Valandil Valar: Khuzdul
Eonwe Valar: We have a page full of Quenya phrases in the Valar Guild Encyclopedia.
Valandil Valar: for my dwarf
Valandil Valar: i know, but i have made may more
Valandil Valar: many more
Eonwe Valar: Written by fka Salmar/Irmo for the express purpose of roleplaying :]
FinduilasV: :-)
Valandil Valar: i know, it was very helpfull when i adjusted the addon ?
Eonwe Valar: Hmm, well technically that would be something like fka Irmo, who was fka Salmar.
Valandil Valar: but it doesn t work anymore
Eonwe Valar: Why not? besides you have more than the list now.
FinduilasV: The add ons dont work
Eonwe Valar: Oh, the addon itself doesn't work.
Eonwe Valar: Learn to speak Quenya? :}
FinduilasV: That's it {")
Valandil Valar: i know more sindarin then Quenya
Eonwe Valar: If you have a copy of some of yours, perhaps you could send them to Varda for inclusion?
Eonwe Valar: Or post them to the Forum :}
Eonwe Valar: Or both :}
Valandil Valar: i will have to put themin a more usefull form
Eonwe Valar: OK

Eonwe Valar: Well, shall we move to Tolkien chat?
Eonwe Valar: Since we've talked about names and languages in the last several minutes, I shall pose this question : What can we learn about the characters in Tolkien's works from their names?
FinduilasV: They say something about the person itself usually
Valandil Valar: wasn t Tolkien rule : first there was the name ?
Eonwe Valar: I don't recall a quote like that, Valandil, but generally speaking he did design the language, then the race using that language, so that wouldn't be far-fetched.
ArPharazonV: if I recall correctly, in Elven society, one had several names: 1 given by the mother based on some sort of instinct, 1 given several years later based on the shown personality
ArPharazonV: so presuming the parents were correct in choosing the name
Valandil Valar: yes
Valandil Valar: i recall that too
ArPharazonV: the names given to them would often represent their personalities!
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Eonwe Valar: In Elvish society at least :}
Valandil Valar: i try to do the same thing with my elven characters on WOW
Eonwe Valar: We can't really speak about "true" Dwarvish names though, since they never revealed those names to anyone.
FinduilasV: Ah and the Entish true names
FinduilasV: /me chuckles
Eonwe Valar: Names could also be descriptive of a physical trait.
Eonwe Valar: hehe Finduilas.
FinduilasV: It would take centureies to name them , grin
Eonwe Valar: What about Hobbits?
Eonwe Valar: There's quite a mix of names there, from Frodo to Gorhendad.
Eonwe Valar: Some roll off the tongue, and some trip it up.
Eonwe Valar: The name Gerontius is quite descriptive, if you ask me :}
Valandil Valar: indeed
FinduilasV: what does it mean>
FinduilasV: I think their surnames are usually .. plants isnt it?
Eonwe Valar: Gerontology is the study of aging.
ArPharazonV: did not know that
Eonwe Valar: Gerontius was the Oldest Hobbit until Bilbo :}
FinduilasV: ah .. true .. Old :-) The old Took
Eonwe Valar: Girl names are usually those of flowers/plants, aye.
Eonwe Valar: Rose, Elanor...
Eonwe Valar: Makes me wonder what a Lobelia is though...
Valandil Valar: a plant
ArPharazonV: probably a plant with attitude :-)
FinduilasV: i have heard the name actually for a plant aye, burt what kind?
Valandil Valar: it is
Eonwe Valar: I've never seen one or heard of it outside of Tolkien's work, to the best of my recollection.
Valandil Valar: we had one in the garden of my grandmother
Eonwe Valar: Ah, cool.
FinduilasV: it has blue flowers and is used as bedding plant, Bruce tells me
FinduilasV: coz it spreads out
Valandil Valar: yes
Eonwe Valar: Hehe, that fits then :}
Eonwe Valar: Lobelia was trying to "spread out" into Bag End :}
FinduilasV: ah poor old wify
Eonwe Valar: So there's another example of a name telling you about a character :}
FinduilasV: she had some spirit though
Eonwe Valar: Aye, she did.
Eonwe Valar: Too bad she used it for ill most of the time.
Valandil Valar: why ill ? just gready
Eonwe Valar: I would call that using it for ill :}
Eonwe Valar: She was generally not a pleasant person.
Eonwe Valar: Always pestering Bilbo and Frodo, for one.
Eonwe Valar: Had Bilbo declared dead while he was off to Erebor and tried to auction off his stuff.
Valandil Valar: i have an aunt like that, family ....
FinduilasV: what else should she think ?
FinduilasV: /me is playing devils advocate
FinduilasV: If your nephew ran off like this?
ArPharazonV: without a handkerchief? ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Why would she have Bilbo declared dead?
FinduilasV: ((mind you not necessarily my opinion , just speaking from her point of view))
FinduilasV: Well , he did disappear for months , didnt he?
Eonwe Valar: She didn't seem to care whether he was really dead or not, she just wanted his stuff.
Valandil Valar: yeah, it could be to preserve the family goods, it not healthy for a house not to be inhabited
Eonwe Valar: Bilbo gave her his set of silver spoons, believing (correctly) she had the missing ones.
FinduilasV: And she took them , of course
FinduilasV: Why refuse such a generous present?
Eonwe Valar: Fëanor would've thrown it at Frodo's head for such an insult, but hey, Fëanor didn't need a Hobbit's silver spoons either :}
FinduilasV: Na , hehe, he loved his gems ;-)
FinduilasV: I guess , Lobelia wanted to keep up some kind of legality
Eonwe Valar: Some kind, yeah. She didn't want the Hobbitfolk gossiping too much about what kind of a person she was.
FinduilasV: **guess she didn't manage that . alas, ye cant stop folks from gossipiping ))
FinduilasV: Well
FinduilasV: She had to keep up a reputation
FinduilasV: no bad on the family name, Bilbo but enough shame on it
FinduilasV: /me gets ready for a good kicking
Eonwe Valar: lol, looking back at the last few pages of the Hobbit. It was a few years before Hobbits would admit Bilbo, standing right in front of them, was in fact alive :}
Arwen V1: well, in most hobbit eyes that is so
Arwen V1: Hobbits arnt supposed to like excitement
Eonwe Valar: Seems BIlbo was "presumed dead."
FinduilasV: hmm ,
Eonwe Valar: I still don't doubt the Sackville-Bagginses had a hand in that though.
FinduilasV: > Lobelia: Why should we? The old goodfornothing was not there after months and months
FinduilasV: and it was the logical thing to do
Eonwe Valar: Of course she would say that, and Gollum would say the Ring was his birthday present.... :}
FinduilasV: It wass .. preciousss
Eonwe Valar: Seems the chat's died down. Shall we call it here and let you all head off to game or study for finals?
FinduilasV: Who is here besides me?
Eonwe Valar: Me of course :}
FinduilasV: And why dont you help Eonwe ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Anyone else?
Eonwe Valar: ?
Star of Phaet: I'm here, partly
Eonwe Valar: Help with?
ArPharazonV: me
FinduilasV: hmm arguing against me, i am trying to fire a discussion
ArPharazonV: well, you were right! It was his birthday presssent...
Star of Phaet: I'm with Finduilas and Lobelia here
FinduilasV: Anyone fancy coming on Ventrilo?
FinduilasV: Call it Eonwe ..
Eonwe Valar: Lobelia was not looking out for anyone other than the Sackville-Bagginses in her endeavors.
Eonwe Valar: They never admitted Bilbo was realyl Bilbo, and never had even a friendly relationship with him after he came back from Erebor.
FinduilasV: >Lobelia: It could have been any ruffian in disguise .. a true Baggins would not act like this
Eonwe Valar: Well then he was a very convincing ruffian, because everyone else more or less acknowledged it was him in time.
Eonwe Valar: And if it was a ruffian, he was an awefully generous one.
FinduilasV: to hide that they are ruffians ?
FinduilasV: /me chucles amused
Star of Phaet: it was onlya tiny portion of the Baggins wealth, secreted away in the depths f the hill
Eonwe Valar: I would like to think a person's own family would recognize him/her :}
FinduilasV: Finduilas V: as ofthen as Lobelia saw her who knows , grin
ArPharazonV: they just chose not to recognize him...
FinduilasV: him or the other family members
Eonwe Valar: The Tooks recognized him, but discouraged relations with him amongst the younger cousins because he wasn't respectable by Hobbit standards any more.
Eonwe Valar: Namely, he'd dared to have an adventure *gasp*!
FinduilasV: > Lobelia: there you go
Eonwe Valar: Well, then she dared to have an adventure when she beat one of Sharkey's men :}
Eonwe Valar: Lobelia's been throw in jail!
FinduilasV: oh , my bad, ;-)
FinduilasV: Ecvery one cheered when she came out
Eonwe Valar: And did she go around trying to steal Bag End from Frodo after that?
FinduilasV: no , she went to live with her folk in .. Staddle was it?
Eonwe Valar: Don't recall off the top of my head.
Xseanzee disco has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: heya
FinduilasV: Aiya, theere Sparkling star
Eonwe Valar: Let's go ahead and call it here so those who want to can leave, and continue any further in After-meeting if anyone's willing :}
FinduilasV: - k
Eonwe Valar: *Bangs Gavel*
top

Eonwe Valar: Aftermeeting :}
FinduilasV: /me chuckles
FinduilasV: ooh that was fun *grin&
FinduilasV: I have a horde btw on Stromwheedle Cartell now , An orc shaman called Morianna
FinduilasV: fun rto play and rp
Eonwe Valar: cool :}
Xseanzee disco: good afternoon all : )
ArPharazonV: hey Gil!
Eonwe Valar: You just missed Finduilas' Thesis: In defense of Lobelia :}
Xseanzee disco: haha
Xseanzee disco: brief synopsis?
FinduilasV: the question came up when we talked about people;s names in Tolkiens books
Eonwe Valar: We were talking about what you can learn from character names, came to Lobelia's, and Finduilas began to play devil's advocate for Lobelia :}
Xseanzee disco: haha, nice. wasnt aware too much could be said on her behalf.
Xseanzee disco: Lobelia => Low Belly? Indication of obesity?
FinduilasV: heh , no spreading out plant ;-)
Eonwe Valar: Only the things she probably told herself to justify her machinations :}
FinduilasV: >lobelia bangs Gil Galad with umbrella on head
Xseanzee disco: >laughes because Lobelia cannot reach.
FinduilasV: /jumps up and down
Eonwe Valar: Careful, we have chairs in here! :}
Eonwe Valar: afk for a sec
FinduilasV: > grabs one
FinduilasV: ((sorry I am silly , folks)) hehe
Menelvagor Valar has entered the room.
Menelvagor Valar: Aiya
FinduilasV: Aiya Menelvagor :-)
ArPharazonV: Aiya Menel
ArPharazonV: you're a bit... late
ArPharazonV: forgot about the time? :-)
FinduilasV: Menel , my friend, you can invite Finduilasse to the Valar guild
Eonwe Valar: back
Eonwe Valar: Heya Menel
Menelvagor Valar: Will do so immediately, Findui :)
Menelvagor Valar: and no, I did not forget the time.
Menelvagor Valar: I had a Stargate RP session this afternoon and a poker tournament tonight.
Eonwe Valar: Stargate eh?
ArPharazonV: I bet you were Teal'c *nod*
Star of Phaet: SG-1 or Atlantis, Menel?
Menelvagor Valar: SG-10 :P
Menelvagor Valar: but yes, not Atlantis :)
ArPharazonV: hehe
Star of Phaet: lol
Star of Phaet: cool
Menelvagor Valar: and basically, we're a random team cooped together without our encoding device (so we can't call Earth it is us who is dialling in)
Menelvagor Valar: and thus we are on our own :)
ArPharazonV: sounds fun
ArPharazonV: so are you based on one planet, or travelling around?
Menelvagor Valar: We still have access to a Gate.
Menelvagor Valar: still can dial home.
ArPharazonV: but they wouldn't let you through?
Menelvagor Valar: but since the Iris won't open to us, we are stuck in the rest of the universe.
ArPharazonV: aha
ArPharazonV: how about the Alpha site?
Menelvagor Valar: and the chances of running into another SG team are minimal.
Menelvagor Valar: SG-10, standard reconnaicance team.
Eonwe Valar: Well, I think I'll check out. Got stuff to take care of for the upcoming week. Take care :}
ArPharazonV: time for bed for me
ArPharazonV: gotta get up in 9 hours, which is an excellent time for sleep :-)
Eonwe Valar: :}
Eonwe Valar: Get those 9 hours while you can :}
ArPharazonV: hehe
ArPharazonV: allright, saving and sending
