    Bilbo-(V) as Latiralis reports that he and most of his previous guild group, Dara Tional, has mostly moved into the guild: Legion of the Dead. His Dizgustipated left Sacred Knights of Hearts, feeling bad about having characters in more than one guild, and that character is now in no guild.
    Thanks to Omens of War, characters can now level to 70. Yep, we have to start leveling again instead of concentrating on AA's.

    Alatar-(Valar) is in the beta test for EverQuest II!

    Beneficium Decum merged with Dara Cothom. Their alt guild is Dara Tional. Bilbo and Oropher were in Beneficium Decem together. Now Bilbo is in the alt guild Dara Tional while Oropher is in Dara Cothom, which has higher AA requirements.

    Gelondil/Earendi-(V) is back in EQ off and on as real life permits. He and Bridhil/Varda-(Valar) distance chatted while playing EQ. Bridhil was back the first time this year, with an upgraded comp to handle the last patch, and sneaking some time off from other things. Fun getting the buttons straight again, but didn't take as long as feared, and re-learning the typed commands, and re-setting hot buttons. Hoping to be back soon. Froggar/Oropher-(V) has been showing up at AIM meetings as well as EQ. Bilbo-(V) has been very active in his regular characters and plays with Oropher.

    Welcome back to the Valar Guild, Bilbo-(V)! Bilbo plays Latiralis, a 65 human warrior on the Zebuxoruk server. He is in the Beneficium Decem guild now. He has other characters as well, see table.

    Congrats to Oropher-(V), for reaching the top level in EverQuest of 65. Good luck with your Alternate Advancements and flags! He's in Beneficium Decem still. He sometimes raids with Varda's youngest son (Latiralis) who is in the Bonae Indolis Vindico.

    Aule and Ulmo are both 65 Rangers (Forest Stalkers).
      Aule is in Crusaders of Plilo .
      Ulmo is in Alliance of Hope.
    Elberethv (5 druid) is in Sacred Knights of Hearts , not listed on Guild Magic's page.
    Oropher is no longer in Dauntless , but in Beneficium Decem .

    Added Edrahil and Khamul to the EQ member list, no other info.
    Some of us are trying to get together to game in EQ as /friends. When we get better at getting together, we'll pass it on.  :)

    Latiralis /Gotta_Scratch found Guild Magic , a page that lists all the guilds on EQ, then lists them by server. It has stats and other info to help pick which interest you most, then a link to the guild's page so you can get updated info. While this page can't help but run behind, it gives a good idea of what's out there and a way to learn more. Latiralis (Varda's son) and Oropher are both in Dauntless , but Latiralis is needing a guild that can help higher end players.
    Taglos (63) and Ulmo (60) are both looking for new guilds that high level players can play with. Taglos' old guild, The Chosen Few, is disbanding as the leaders move to a new game. Underworld Knights is fine, but not able to support high level play at this time. Both are willing to help out Valar Guild members who drop into EverQuest as friends on Zebuxoruk server, although we have no official guild. Put Taglos and Ulmo on your /friend list.
    Varda is trying to play more EQ and is low level, using variations of Varda names on Zebuxoruk, feel free to contact. Bridhil (20) is a cleric, Elentari (17) is a warrior.

    Eru emailed. He says he plays on Prexus server where his real life friends play and where he was before the guild got into Zebuxoruk. His characters are now listed on the EverQuester Member Page.

    Thanks to the Games page update, we have some new names for the Members page and confirmations that others play.
    Finduilas and Nimrodel have been added.  Earendil, Fladrif, Smeagol, Aule, Ulmo, Sauron, and Varda are still with us on EQ.

    Earendil and I are now able to email back and forth again, after a long time of problems. Earendil was in Underworld Knights with Ulmo until recently, leaving to try to be with Aule in The Chosen Few, a guild which is able to field enough high level people at his new time of day to work with him on his high level quests. Unfortunately this upset one of the lead officers of UK who did not seem to understand the situation. TCF has had a recruiting freeze for two months but it's beginniing to show signs of a thaw. TCF is an "uberguild", taking only people with characters over level 50 and their alternates. Earendil also adds that he still has many people he is friends with in UK and that during the time he left it has grown to twice its previous size in high level players and he recommends it. Another fine guild for people looking for one is Grayson's Few, as big as Underworld Knights. Earendil's Lidnerae is very close to his 55.

    Earendil now works 12 hour shifts and must do his playing late on weekdays. He is working for 54 on his paladin and needs to find an uberguild that can help him slay dragons for his epic quest on weekdays. He may be dusting off his D2 disks after he finds them to drop by for Sunday meetings before work.
    Taglos finished his the first sword part of his epic quest several weeks ago, and is working on the second sword to finish. The swords show lightning-sparkle effects. Congrats, Aule! Thanks, Earendil and Taglos, for the news.

    Bridhil aka Varda-(Valar) attended the EQ "wedding " of a real-life married couple renewing their vows at 2 ESDT. They were Ialyeni aka Bruzer and Aannyile Ianda of the Lodestar guild. Bruzer and Bridhil play together frequently. Guests were ported in by people waiting to handle the duty to Butcher Block Mountains in Faydwer. The minister gave a traditional ceremony, then the couple gave vows and rings to each other, while the guests sat on the grass with weapons hidden in inventory rather than openly displayed. Wedding cake was made by bakers in the group and passed around in considerable quantity. A great deal of Alcohol Tolerance increase occurred, brought in by many fine brewers. Then a number of the group went on to help Ialyeni with his epic quest for his bow from the golden-haired mermaid. Porters took people home who so wished. Bridhil gated back.
    During this, I learned that Aule as Taglos has also "married" in EQ, last December. He and his frequent gaming partner, Calantha, chose to have the ceremony at the Castle of Crushbone where they first met in battle. Ulmo aided the ceremony by mezzing the local monsters to act as proper wedding guests. Calantha and Aule still game together.

    Lidnerae (Earendil) and Bridhil (Varda) bumped into each other while ridding West Karana of bandits. Delightful surprise! We exchanged info on how to find each other again and hope to do more heroics together in the future. Earendil's characters are now listed on the EQ Members page.

Alas, I am firmly rooted on the Torvonnilous server.

As you can see from my chars I play a lot, just got 60 this week

The guild I am part of on torv is Nexxus of Faith. I believe we are ranked as number 3 on the server, and we're whacking big mobs almost every day. Best part is that it's a euro guild so I don't have to stay up until 5 in the morning to raid If you wanna check us out our site is at www.nexxus.dk .

Taglos was promoted to level 51 and no longer just a
mere Ranger, but is now a Pathfinder.  Additionally
(ala Aragorn & Arwen) Taglos was married in EQ to the
Wood Elf Ranger Calanthe.

47 sometime last week.

overwhelmed with EQ and have gone back to D2X. I will however do whatever
you need to get your guild hall up and running.

I am definately hooked on EQ for the time-being, but should make most
meetings (summer schedule is sometimes hectic).  Have chatted with Eru
lately, as he now has a character on Zebuxoruk (EruLinde).  Fladrif and
Smeagol have also joined.  Not all Valar who play can use their
character names.  Some are taken, and some are rejected by the servers.
Fladrif uses Firdalf, and Smeagol uses Logaems (backwards spelling).  We
are now 8 members (only 7 accts.) and 3 from getting our own Guild Hall.

        Heres some names you can put on your site.  I can usually be found

that on the Zebuxoruk server Gandalf, Earendil, and Turin at least are
taken or banned.  I have met Tharkun, Nienor, Halbarad, Mormegil,

has also met the person using the Varda name, but didn't have anything

    Valar Guild Realm?
    Aule says Gwindor and Earendil also play EverQuest and that he bought the game today himself. This means we may have enough people for our own realm now. Organizing has started for this project. We need at least ten to commit for our own Realm.
    Aule is project head and contact person. Varda is web person.
    Ancalagon and Beleg were dropped for non-contact with the guild, no other problems with them. If they answer before someone else takes the names, they can pick up the same guild names when they rejoin. Otherwise they can pick new guild names.
    Ancalagon's email comes back undeliverable, one reason we had to drop him before. If anyone can reach him, please do.

    Emails have been updated on the EQ member page for Tilion and Eomer. Luthien also has a new email, but can be reached through her brother, Eomer. Tilion should be back in the D2 Middle-earth mod after his last final, so you may catch him there. Eomer plans to be coming in on that as well, since his high level EQ character takes forever to play now. Feathalion plays only on EQ at the moment.

Hail there!  It has indeed been a long time since I've heard word or given thought to the Valar or to Battle.net in general, most of my idle hours these days being spent playing Everquest... or EverCrack as some would call it.  I'll most likely never return to Battle.net, so my days in the Valar are, sadly, effectively over... though if anyone in Everquest on the server of Druzzil Ro would like to contact me, feel free toent names. Oh yeah,
Luthien got lvl 48 on her pally.

For EQ news in general, i saw that they were releasing the, "Everquest
Trilogy" which has the original, RoK and SoV combined. Check eq.castersrealm
or www.everquest.com for more info.

Heyas all,

Ah, summer over, should make more meetings now.

I have been meeting a lot of Tolkien fans as of late on EQ (Belmyne
Fimbrethil, Feanore, Istari). Goth plays a char on another server with
friends from school and ran into Gothmogg  :)   Trying to talk up for an
EQ division of Valar, but as it takes 10 at once and our entry reqs. so
strict tis hard to get off the ground.  It would be easy if you all
switched to this far superior game  :)

Now that I am well into developing my character (25), I have concluded
that the roleplaying, questing, trade skills, barter etc required to
play this game are well worth it.  Having a huge world to play on, and
much more than click, click, kill, kill to develop the character make EQ
much more fun for me.  I miss playing with you all but I am on EQ for a
long time to come now that I have played it far enough to get over the
early frustrations.

With regard to Everquest, I'd like to add my name as one of those interested in playing with members of the guild.

At the moment I only have a couple of low-level characters on PREXUS server, though I'm willing to switch servers and start afresh if there is enough interest from others.  I'd recommend starting on a low population server though as PREXUS has been around for a while and regularly has 2000 players.  Newer servers only have about 500 so the world is much less crowded.

I'd also be happy to co-ordinate the EQ people and send in news for the web site.
