Rest we two by the fire and ponder
What is on the menu I wonder
With the dawn comes a welcome sight
A home cooked breakfast filled with delight
Hobbit omelets and bacon
Every morsel there to be taken

With mid-day high upon the sky
A lunch pail made just for us to try
With shepherd’s pie and some warm red tea
Perfectly cooked with love just for me
Rest we two by the fire and ponder
What is on the menu I wonder
The days come down into the west
And suppers a meal we like the best
Roast beef and taters spiced just so
A meal that every hobbit should know

We two alone cozy at the last
The sweetest desserts end our repast
The hearth embers now burn down low
Giving our home a romantic glow.
