Banish the whole of Nargothrond,
Their silver armours, their harps of gold;
Their words of music, their raiments of silk.
And the city is thine, all hail Turambar –
Behold, the halls resound with the voice of winds,
The furious river floods through the gates,
The streets are overgrown with weeds
And the wilderness within thee.
