Time for Tea

by Hoegard Harfoot

Time for Tea, time for tea, you’re most welcome to share the hospitality.
You are welcome to a cup of fresh brewed tea and perhaps a muffin or a cake or three
Let us sit down by the warm fire side and there in modest good company to abide

Time for Tea, time for tea, you’re most welcome to share the hospitality.
Or perhaps we will deem to meet upon the green for a sunny picnic retreat
Over cups and saucers we shall share the news we know and all the latest gossips compare

Time for Tea, time for tea, you’re most welcome to share the hospitality.
Sip and nibble and chat away till our belly has had its fill with cakes and tea and company
Then with most mannerly pardon’s we will away to most merrily face the rest of the day

Time for Tea, time for tea, you’re most welcome to share the hospitality.
At least until the sun dips low and then it is time for supper you know!
