Time for a Pipe

by Hoegard Harfoot
May 17, 2011

A puff now and then
When we feel drawn too thin
And things we need to lay by

With a smoky sigh
A bright glow fills the pipe
Each draw is both full and ripe

The Smoke rings climb
At ease for a short time
So come and share us a tale

Some hero to regale
Before the embers grow cold
The words and smoke are both bold

As time whiles away
Like the cares of the day
Pipe weed is good for the soul!
