Tulkas Astaldo, the Valiant, came last to Arda,
unwilling to allow Melkor to destroy what the other Valar had wrought.
Greatest in strength and deeds of prowess, Tulkas the Strong cares
little for past or future, and is no counsellor, but his laughter
filled Arda scattering cloud and darkness--and Melkor fled before him.
Melkor then brooded in the outer darkness and forever after hated
Tulkas.
Tulkas is the seventh Lord of the Valar, not one of
the Aratar.
Tulkas's wife is Nessa, the sister of Orome.

Tulkas the Strong, also known as Astaldo the
Valiant. The last Ainur to come to Arda to aid the Valar in the early
battles against Melkor, who he once challenged in the Halls of Utumno
and took him out in disgrace.
All dark creatures ran in chaos and disorder from
his laugh and light, the Wrestler of the Valar and the Laughing Warrior.
But in the Valar Guild he owns yet another title: The unbeatable terror for Battle.Net, fear for all its players, and sweet revenge for all the baddies of Diablo, the All mighty Lord of Lag, bearer of the Six Red Bars of Lag ;)
