The kelvar in Quenya elvish means the
"quick ones".
The kelvar are the moving life, the animals, in
Arda.
They are not the same as elves, men, and dwarves which are the Children
and
adopted children of Eru Iluvatar. The kelvar are of Yavanna. Manwe
envisioned
the eagles, but he did so in conjunction with Yavanna and her idea of
protectors.
Ents are intelligent protectors of the olvar (plants), made by Yavanna.
Eagles have been seen to aid elves and men, the Children of Iluvatar.
Radagast was the Istar with special interest in the
natural world, sent to Middle-earth by Yavanna.
