Pandemic Studios is developing a Lord of the Rings game similar to Star Wars:Battlefront. It is called Lord of the Rings Conquest. They're working off of EA's LotR license, which means they got to use a bunch of stuff from the movies.
There will be good and evil campaigns, and playable classes include warriors, archers, and mages, so obviously it's not exactly going to be canon.

There will be three versions available: a "Complete edition" version containing copies of Shadows of Angmar (the original game) as well as the expansion, a "Collector's Edition" containing that and more, and a digital download version. Lord of the Rings Online Book 14: The Ring-Forges of Eregion is now up!
Blizzard has announced a change to mounts and vanity pets upcoming in Wrath of the Lich King. Now, they will be learned like spells, and you will have a tab for them in your Character info pages. This ought to free up alot of bag space for some of us. Read more about it on Blizzard's forum.
LotRO servers will be down for a few hours (6am to noon US East coast time) on Tuesday while they bring to us Book 14: The Ring-forges of Eregion!

A clarification and update from the Hellgate:London announcement Sunday. Those not paying a monthly subscription will still get normal patches. Those paying the monthly subscription will get content updates, and also have the ability to create guilds and other things.
Hellgate:London is out!
This game is created by Flagship Studios, a company founded by a group of former Blizzard employees who worked on the Diablo series. They've dubbed this game a "spiritual successor" of the Diablo series, but as Blizzard holds the copyright on the Diablo franchise, this is not officially a Diablo sequel.

For an unfortunate reason, I will need to suspend funding for my second Eve-Online account, which holds the Pallando Luineistar character. As the only other member is Menelvagor, who is inactive, this will leave the branch without anyone to run the corporation. I will still be somewhat active on Debes Sparre, and will keep the mailing list and chat channel manned for what it's worth. My offer of a free month will not be available on demand, but still extant. The offer for 6 months runs out on the 4th.
