The 6.0.3 patch released, and most of our player models were forever changed.top
Our Anniversary is October 4th, but this year we held our celebration in WoW on October 2nd, commemorating our sixteenth year. We chose a few select locations for fireworks and pictures. Attending(on): Bofur (Diziet, Human Warlock), Elwing (Whitetower, Human Death Knight), Eonwë (Auros, Human Paladin), Eowyn (Aeowyn, Human Priest) Varda (Varda, Night Elf Priestess).
Traditional picture in front of the Stormwind Cathedral. Elwing, Eonwe, Eowyn, and Varda we here for this one.

Gilneas has great architecture, so we determined to revisit the cathedral here. Left to right: Elwing, Varda, Eonwe, Eowyn.
We found a clear spot on the corner outside the Shrine of the Seven Stars, and decided it would make a good backdrop for our next picture. Left to right: Eowyn, Eonwe, Varda, Bofur, Elwing.
Our next stop was the vast expanse of the Serpent's Spine, with the Vale of Eternal Blossoms in the left background and the Dread Wastes on the right. Fireworks and spells going off. Left to right: Varda, Eonwe, Bofur, Elwing, Eowyn.
A close-up. Eowyn has assuming Shadowform, still some fireworks going off. No change in order.
Another close up from the other side. Eowyn not in Shadowform.
November 11th, 2012, we went into Icecrown Citadel 10-man on Heroic to deal with the Lich King and see what achievements we could get. Turns out we got all but four. :} The Lich King fell before us. Attending(on): Bofur, Eonwe, Glorfindel, guild-friends Kaz and Xorr.
After slaying the Lich King, we stand before the Frozen Throne, where Bolvar now keeps the Scourge at bay. Oops, were we not supposed to pass that on? :} Someone tell the fountain-builders in Dalaran!
On October 4th, 2012, we celebrated the anniversary of the Valar Guild, commemorating 15 years of courteous and friendly Tolkien fans gaming together. This year, we visited the capitals of the Alliance, plus one spot in Pandaria chosen at the gathering. Attending(on): Bilbo (Billboh, Gnome Mage), Eonwë (Auros, Human Paladin), Glorfindel (Raladek, Worgen Hunter), Varda (Varda, Night Elf Priestess).
The four of us on the steps into Stormwind Cathedral. Also pictured: Two guild heralds. Hey, someone's got to do the heralding when Eonwë's busy :}
A close-up of the four of us in Stormwind.
The four of us gathered around Magni Bronzebeard in Old Ironforge, turned into diamond at the beginning of the Cataclysm while communing with the earth.
The four of us gathered outside Gnomeregan, reclaimed by the Gnomes (at least partially) before the Cataclysm. And yet, it still isn't officially a capital city.

On July 29th, 2012, Varda and Eonwë, with Guild-friend Kaz, went into Trial of the Crusader 10-man (yes, only the three of us) and successfully cleared the place. Along the way, we grabbed the achievement "Not One, But Two Jormungars."

On October 4th, 2011, we celebrated the 14th anniversary of the Valar Guild's inception, creating a haven for courteous and friendly gamers with an interest in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. This year, we only visited the capitals of the Alliance.
Maintaining tradition, we once again took our Stormwind picture in front of the Cathedral of Light. (Left to right:) Varda, Eowyn, Eonwë, Sauron.

While not officially a capital city, Gilneas has great architecture, and it would've been a shame not to take this chance to visit. (Left to Right:) Sauron, Eonwë, Eowyn, Elwing.
On Auguest 21st, 2011, six guild members and one guild-friend went into Ulduar to finish off Yogg-Saron on Hard-mode (no Keepers helping). Afterwards we defeated Algalon. We didn't get guild credit for it unfortunately, but it was Yogg'Saron with 0 Keepers so it belongs up here anyway :} Participants: Eonwe, Varda, Bilbo, Elwing, Nob, and Bofur, with guild-friend Lumierre.

On May 29th, 2011, Eonwë, Varda, Fangorn, Elwing, Nob, Bofur, Sauron, Bilbo took on and defeated the Lich King. Since it wasn't heroic, we didn't get guild credit, but now that we have an idea of the fight, we can go back for it. Eonwë, Varda, Fangorn, Elwing, Nob, Bofur, Sauron, Bilbo at the Frozen Throne.top

Before the campaign on Northrend could begin, the Lich King launched a deadly new invasion, beginning subtly as a plague of undeath that grew increasingly more potent. Pictures of Stormwind Harbor, when it was initially introduced.
